About

Roof Rx, Inc. is a Dallas based roofing contractor working across the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex from an office at 16910 Dallas Parkway Ste 214, Dallas, Texas 75248. The Better Business Bureau records the company as started and incorporated on 15 January 2021, and lists a second location at 3597 Jefferson Drive in Frisco. The company positions itself as a turnkey provider covering residential roof replacement and repair, commercial and multifamily roofing, free inspections and insurance consulting, and exterior work including painting. It states it services the full DFW metroplex from Mansfield to Texoma and from Weatherford to Anna, and that it is experienced in negotiating with insurance carriers. A ten year transferrable limited warranty is offered on its work. Roof Rx is BBB Accredited with an A+ rating, accredited since 30 October 2023. The company states on its own site that it is Owens Corning certified and a CertainTeed ShingleMaster contractor. Neither of those was found on the manufacturers' own contractor directories during this review, so both remain claims stated by the company rather than independently verified credentials.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

10/10 will definitely use again in the future for any projects Todd was excellent, ensuring a thorough inspection both before and after repairs as well as explaining in detail to us what all was needed. Eric and Justin were extremely knowledgeable and helped us with all the paperwork, selection of materials, and back-and-forth with Insurance/mortgage company. The repair crew for the roof was great as well, in and out within 10ish hours and were thorough in cleanup. Roof has held up great 6 months in and we have no complaints. Additional work was done to the fence for prep and stain as well as repair to window screens.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recommended for Quality & Reliability I had an amazing experience with Roof RX here in Frisco! From the very first call to the final inspection, their team was incredibly professional, responsive, and thorough. You can really tell they take pride in their work and genuinely care about the quality of the service they provide. The crew arrived on time, explained everything clearly, and made the entire process smooth and stress free. What really stood out to me was their honesty and attention to detail. They didn’t try to upsell anything I didn’t need, and they made sure the job was done right the first time.

you always hear nightmares about roofing companies and all the stereotypes that go along with them, but not with Roof Rx. Extremely professional, great quality work, and no pressure. It makes the process simple and easy. 10/10 would recommend to anybody. They replaced the whole roof, gutters, replaced dmg wood, and repaired my chimney.

Frequently asked

Is Roof Rx licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas has no state roofing licence, so no roofing company in Texas holds one. The meaningful checks are current general liability and workers compensation insurance, standing with a trade body such as RCAT, and whatever registration the city where you live requires. Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly from the insurer, not a copy from the salesperson.
What does RCAT Member status mean here?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas lists Roof Rx, Inc. as a member company. Membership means the business pays dues and signs up to the association's code of conduct. It is not the same thing as RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential, which is obtained by examination. Membership and the licence credential should never be treated as interchangeable.
Is Roof Rx BBB accredited?
Yes. The Better Business Bureau lists Roof Rx, Inc. as an Accredited Business with an A+ rating, accredited since 30 October 2023. The BBB profile records the company as started and incorporated on 15 January 2021 and names Justin L. Baker as President.
Does Roof Rx hold manufacturer certifications?
The company states on its own website that it is Owens Corning certified and a CertainTeed ShingleMaster contractor. Those are claims stated by the company. Neither was confirmed on the Owens Corning or CertainTeed contractor directories during this review, so homeowners who want the manufacturer warranty tied to a certification should ask the company to show its current standing in writing before signing.
Why does the certification level matter for my warranty?
Manufacturer system warranties are tied to the installer's certification tier, not just to the shingle. A standard product warranty covers manufacturing defects only. The stronger system warranties, which also cover workmanship and accessories, can only be issued by contractors at specific certification levels. Ask which exact warranty the company can register on your roof and get the answer in the contract.
Does Roof Rx handle hail and storm insurance claims?
Yes. The company offers free inspections and insurance consulting and states it is experienced in negotiating with insurance carriers. North Texas is one of the most hail exposed regions in the country. Be aware that in Texas a roofing contractor may not act as a public insurance adjuster on the same claim, and may not offer to rebate or absorb your deductible.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth it in Dallas?
Dallas County sits squarely in Texas hail alley, and a Class 4 impact resistant shingle is rated to survive a two inch steel ball dropped from twenty feet. Most Texas insurers offer a premium credit for a Class 4 roof. Ask your carrier what the annual discount is, then weigh it against the extra material cost over the expected life of the roof.
What areas does Roof Rx serve?
The company states it serves the entire DFW metroplex, from Mansfield in the south to Texoma in the north and from Weatherford in the west to Anna in the east. Its main office is on Dallas Parkway in north Dallas, with a second location listed in Frisco.
Will I need a permit for a roof replacement in Dallas?
Probably, but it depends on your city. Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Richardson and every other DFW city sets its own reroofing permit and inspection rules. Confirm in the contract who pulls the permit, who pays the fee and who meets the inspector.
What should I check before signing with any DFW roofer?
Get the scope in writing with the shingle line and colour, underlayment type, ice and water shield locations, ventilation plan, and a per sheet price for replacing rotten decking. Ask for a certificate of insurance direct from the carrier. Separate the manufacturer warranty from the contractor's own workmanship warranty and check that the workmanship warranty is transferrable. Avoid paying in full before the job is complete and inspected.
