About

Myriad Roofing is a Dallas roofing contractor at 6060 N. Central Expressway, Suite 500, in Dallas County. BBB records show the business started in August 2017, was incorporated in February 2021, and has been a BBB Accredited Business since March 2018 with an A+ rating, with Jimmy Porch listed as managing member. RCAT lists the company as Myriad Roofing & Construction LLC in Dallas. The current website trades under the name Myriad Roofing & Waterproofing and splits the work into separate residential and commercial divisions. On the residential side the company lists roof replacement, roof repair, storm and hail damage restoration, gutters and waterproofing, skylights and ventilation, and inspections and maintenance, working in architectural asphalt, standing seam metal, clay and concrete tile and stone coated steel. The commercial division lists re-roofing, new construction, roof asset management, silicone coatings and restoration, emergency response and preventive maintenance across TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen and standing seam metal. The site advertises a free inspection within 48 hours, a lifetime workmanship guarantee, and a 24/7 phone line, and says it has protected more than 5,200 properties across North Texas. Manufacturer claims on the site need a caveat. The residential page states GAF Master Elite and the commercial page states GAF Master Select, but GAF's own contractor directory lists Myriad Roofing & Construction LLC at the Dallas address as GAF Certified, which is the entry tier of the GAF network rather than Master Elite or Master Select. GAF's directory also shows a 5.0 rating from 43 GAF reviews. Claims of Owens Corning Platinum, CertainTeed SELECT and Carlisle SynTec certification were not found in those manufacturers' own directories and are recorded here as stated by the company. The BBB accreditation and A+ rating are confirmed on BBB's own site.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0504 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

When I say this company did a fantastic job. They did. They showed up on time completed the repairs in a timely manner. They cleaned everything up. I had this roof replaced in 2016 by another company and the left a ton of mess in my yard. And didn't replace my pipes on top. Myriad repaid completed work They should have. I highly recommend everyone to use them.

I called Myriad Roofing the day after the wind storm had blown shingles off my roof and Jimmy sent a technician out the next day. I thought the tech would take a few pictures and cover the damage areas with tarp and I would have to wait several days, if not weeks. I was surprised to see the technician actually started the repair the same day and by the end of the day my roof was completely repaired. The price I was quoted was fair. All communication was done with quick responses and a professional approach. If you have roofing issues, I recommend you give Myriad Roofing a call.

Of all the roofing companies who have littered my doorstep with business cards or flooded my phone with recommendations and quotes for a new roof, this is the first to tell me that I didn't need one. Integrity is hard to come by in today's society. Needless to say, I wholeheartedly recommend Myriad Roofing and will continue to use them.

My husband and I can’t say enough great things about our experience with Myriad Roofing. The high level of service provided is very rare in today’s fast paced society. Jimmy Porch and his team understand the significant investment that homeowners and businesses are making when a roof is being replaced. He understands that the insurance claim process can be complicated. He understands what it means to be of value and service to his customers. He carefully explained everything up front and throughout the process. He took ownership in coordinating with me and my insurance claims adjuster. Jimmy went out of his way to insure we had the best materials for our roof. The roof installers were polite, professional, swift and experts in their craft. They worked quickly and respectfully of the entire neighborhood, as it was a pretty big job. Thank you Myriad Roofing for a job so well done. Our new roof is beautiful!

Jimmy and his team did outstanding for me and wife this past weekend. We are moving to a new home soon, and needed some work completed on our chimney, per an inspection report. They came out, were on time and did a great job on the repairs. My wife and I were extremely please. Jimmy and Myriad Roofing came highly recommended to us, and now I see why. Although this was our first time getting work from them, it will definitely not be our last.

Frequently asked

Is Myriad Roofing licensed?
Texas has no state roofing license, so nobody in Texas is state licensed to roof. Myriad is listed with RCAT under its Licensed Roofing Contractor credential, which is an earned association credential, and it is a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating. Always ask separately for a current certificate of general liability and workers compensation insurance.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
A Member pays dues to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through experience and testing requirements. Myriad carries the earned credential, which is the stronger of the two, but neither is a government license.
What GAF level does Myriad actually hold?
GAF's own contractor directory lists Myriad Roofing & Construction LLC in Dallas as GAF Certified, the entry tier of the GAF network. The company's website describes itself as GAF Master Elite on one page and GAF Master Select on another. If a specific GAF system warranty matters to you, ask for it in writing and check the level yourself on GAF's contractor locator before signing.
Why do manufacturer certification tiers matter?
Tiers control which enhanced system warranties a contractor can register on your roof. Entry level certification allows shorter system warranties, while top tiers unlock the longest ones. Because the tier is checkable on the manufacturer's own directory in about a minute, it is one of the easiest claims for a homeowner to verify independently.
Does Myriad do commercial flat roofing?
Yes. The commercial division lists TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen and standing seam metal, plus silicone restoration coatings, roof asset management, preventive maintenance and emergency response.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth it in Dallas?
Dallas County sits in the heart of Texas hail alley, and many Texas insurers give a premium credit for a UL 2218 Class 4 roof. The credit is set by the carrier, so check with your agent first, then keep the manufacturer's Class 4 certificate with your policy documents.
How does a hail claim work in North Texas?
Have the roof inspected and documented with dated photos, file with your carrier, and let the adjuster inspect. The carrier pays replacement cost less your deductible, usually holding back depreciation until the work is completed and invoiced. In Texas a contractor may not pay or absorb your deductible, so decline any offer to do so.
What warranty does the company advertise?
The site advertises a lifetime workmanship guarantee plus extended manufacturer coverage, and on the commercial side an NDL manufacturer warranty of up to 30 years on qualifying systems. Ask for the written warranty document, what voids it, and whether it transfers on sale, since the manufacturer warranty tier depends on the certification level actually held.
Who handles roofing permits in Dallas?
There is no statewide code enforcement in Texas, so permitting is handled by each city or county. The City of Dallas has its own permit and inspection process, and Plano, Frisco, Richardson, Irving and the Park Cities each run their own. Confirm in writing who pulls the permit.
What should I check before signing a Dallas roofing contract?
Get the certificate of insurance from the agent, verify any manufacturer certification on the manufacturer's own contractor locator, insist on a line item scope (shingle line, underlayment, valley treatment, ventilation, flashing, disposal), get the workmanship warranty in writing, and avoid a large deposit before materials are delivered. Read any assignment of benefits document carefully before signing.
