About

Tridom Roofing is a residential and commercial roofing contractor headquartered in northwest Houston. The company says it was founded in 2016 by Johnston Camp, and BBB records Tridom Roofing, LLC as incorporated on 6 June 2016 with Johnston D Camp as owner. The Houston office and shop is at 11116 W Little York Rd, Bldg 1, Houston 77041, in Harris County, which is the same address RCAT holds for the company. Services listed on Tridom's own site include roof inspections, leak diagnosis and repair, full roof replacement, new construction roofing, gutter repairs, preventative maintenance programmes, storm and hail damage assessment, waterproofing, sheet metal fabrication and commercial roof asset management. Materials run from asphalt shingles and tile through standing seam metal, TPO, modified bitumen and solar shingles, which lets the company cover both steep-slope homes and flat commercial roofs. Tridom has been BBB accredited since August 2020 and holds an A+ BBB rating. The company also states a long list of manufacturer and trade credentials on its own site, including GAF Certified Weather Stopper, Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, CertainTeed, Versico, Firestone, Gaco Flex and Ironstone Master Artisan, plus National Roofing Contractors Association membership. Those are the company's own statements and were not confirmed in each manufacturer's public directory.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Tridom is a great company that hires great people looking to genuinely take care of its customers. They worked to get everything they could for me after my house damaged from the 2024 hurricane and still followed up to take care of me after. I’ve already referred others to Tridom and I will continue to do so.

I was in a pinch to get a roof on a family member’s house before the closing Date which was two weeks away. I contacted Tridon And Ron and Brent were incredible from the start Dorothy P. Brent inspected the roof on July 30th And they guided us through the entire Insurance claim process, Even meeting with the adjuster on August 5th. I was initially Skeptical They could get it done at a reasonable price and on time, But I decided to trust them. I’m so gl I did! The moment the approval letter came in, they moved us to the front Of the line and completed The entire roof on August 12. A full two days before closing on August 14th. From the beginning it was a flawless, stress free experience under tight pressure. i highly Recommend Tridon Roofing and will Absolutely trust them again with any future projects. Dorothy Parker

**Top-Notch Roofing Service – Highly Recommended!** I couldn’t be happier with the job your crew did replacing our roof! From start to finish, the professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail were truly impressive. My mother had used Tridom Roofing for her home and had a great experience, so she referred them to us—and we’re so glad she did! My husband took a special interest in the materials being used and looked them up during the process—he was impressed by the high quality and innovative technology behind the products your team selected. It’s clear you don’t cut corners when it comes to quality. Not only does our new roof look fantastic, but the cleanup afterward was impeccable! No nails or old shingles in sight! A big thank-you to the entire Tridom Roofing team for the excellent service and craftsmanship. We’ll gladly recommend you to friends, family, and anyone in need of roofing work.

The roof stands out on our street. Trudefinition Duration shingles looks lovely on dessert rose color combined with pure copper metal ridges are perfect match. Tridom excellent team of roofers installed roof materials with precision. Tridom staffs well organized and coordinated during and after roof installations. Victor a very courteous foreman. He Explains well and gives us updates. Johnston Camp an honest professional roof consultant. He’s Very easy to communicate. Very responsive . Listens to our concerns. Explains well. Give his best honest recommendations that reduce heat, improve attic air flow , save energy and helped us choose high quality shingles that will last longer. Johnston price estimates descent, fair, and affordable. We felt the difference of coolness and comfort inside the house immediately after Victor installed - solar powered attic fan and baffles. The humidity and heat dramatically reduced. We also noticed the musty smell on bathrooms disappeared. I recommend Every house should get this type of solar vents, and tools that saves energy. Saves money. Tridom roofing company never failed us. Thank you very much.

Frequently asked

Is Tridom Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no roofing company in Texas can hold one. What you can verify is general liability and workers' compensation insurance direct from the insurer, standing with the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT), BBB record, and any city registration required where you live. Tridom has been BBB accredited since 2020 with an A+ rating.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
They are separate things. RCAT Membership is paid trade association membership open to any roofing business. The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (RRL, CRL or CRRL) is earned individually through RCAT's testing and continuing education requirements. Ask a contractor to say specifically which one applies to them.
Which roof systems suit a flat commercial roof in Houston?
TPO single ply and modified bitumen are the two systems Tridom names for low-slope work, and both are common on Houston commercial buildings. TPO's reflective white surface helps with cooling load in the Gulf Coast heat, while modified bitumen is valued for its redundancy and repairability. Drainage design matters more than the membrane choice on a Houston roof, because ponding after heavy rain is what shortens system life.
Does the Houston area get hail damage?
Yes. Hail is less frequent in Harris County than in North and Central Texas, but severe storms do produce damaging hail here, and wind-driven rain and debris impact from thunderstorms are common causes of roof damage. Have a roof inspected after any storm that produces hail on the ground, because granule loss and membrane bruising are not visible from the driveway.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it in Houston?
They are worth pricing. Class 4 shingles are tested against a two-inch steel ball drop and most Texas homeowners' carriers offer a premium discount for them, so the payback depends on the discount your specific insurer applies. Ask your agent for the figure in writing before choosing the upgrade.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Houston?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so this is decided locally. The City of Houston has its own permitting requirements, unincorporated Harris County works differently, and suburbs such as Katy, Pearland, Sugar Land, Tomball and The Woodlands each set their own rules. Confirm which authority covers your address and who is pulling the permit.
What do manufacturer certifications like GAF, Owens Corning or Versico actually get me?
They generally unlock extended manufacturer warranties that a non-certified installer cannot offer, and they signal that the manufacturer has vetted the contractor's insurance and track record. Programmes are tiered, so ask which tier the contractor holds and check it on the manufacturer's own contractor locator rather than trusting a logo on a website. Tridom's listed credentials are the company's own statements.
What is a preventative maintenance or roof asset management programme?
It is a scheduled inspection and repair agreement, usually for commercial buildings, in which the contractor checks drains, flashings, seams and penetrations on a set cycle and documents the roof's condition over time. The value is catching small failures before water reaches the insulation and deck, and having the records needed to support a warranty or an insurance claim later.
What should I ask a Houston roofer before signing?
Ask for an insurance certificate sent directly by the agent, ask whether the crews are employees or subcontractors and who carries workers' compensation, ask what the workmanship warranty covers and for how long, ask which manufacturer system is being installed and what warranty the manufacturer will issue, and ask who pulls the permit. Get everything in writing before any deposit changes hands.
Where does Tridom Roofing operate?
The Houston office at 11116 W Little York Rd serves Houston and surrounding communities including Bellaire, Cinco Ranch, Cypress, Friendswood, Jersey Village, Katy, Kingwood, Missouri City, Pearland, Spring, Sugar Land, The Woodlands and Tomball, Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm. The company also runs separate offices in San Antonio and Austin and one in Brentwood, Tennessee.
