Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We had a great experience working with Hannah and Cory! They are very knowledgeable and made the process so smooth. From the quote, to filing the insurance claim, to the finished product, they were professional and walked us through every step of the way. We couldn’t be happier with our new roof and gutters and highly recommend them!

Roof Republic Inc replaced my roof after receiving damage from hurricane Beryl. They did great job and cleaned out my gutters for no additional cost. I am very satisfied with the installation of shingles and clean up when they finished. The project cost was well within my budget.

I recently had my roof replaced by Roof Republic, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience! From the initial consultation to the final cleanup, their team was phenomenal. Both Cory and Hannah were invaluable and engaged throughout the entire process. They even helped us fight with our insurance for a new roof after it was clearly hail-damaged. The insurance company was unwilling to pay until Hannah got involved. We sat back as she took over the process, advocated for us with the insurance company, and won! Now we have a fantastic new roof. On the day of the roof replacement, the crew was courteous, respectful of my property, and incredibly efficient. David, the foreman, was diligent and focused, keeping me informed about each stage of the project. The finished roof looks perfect and is of high quality. The team did a thorough cleanup, even using a magnet to pick up nails. The quote was accurate with no hidden costs, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Roof Republic for their professionalism, quality work, and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Roof Republic recently completed a major capital improvement project for our community, including a full replacement of our metal roof system along with extensive remediation and property improvements. The scope of work also included painting our amenity buildings from top to bottom, gutter and downspouts, and soft washing several common areas. From start to finish, the Roof Republic team demonstrated a high level of professionalism, organization, and expertise. Their pricing was competitive, and their communication throughout the project was consistent and proactive. The project lasted several months, with their crews working onsite six days a week. Despite the size and duration of the work, we received **zero resident complaints**, which speaks volumes about how well their team managed the job site, maintained cleanliness, and respected the community. They delivered excellent workmanship while keeping the project organized and running smoothly. Their team was responsive, professional, and clearly committed to doing the job right. We highly recommend Roof Republic for roofing projects, building remediation, and large-scale capital improvements. They proved to be a reliable partner and a true professional contractor.

We are absolutely loving our home after letting Hannah, Cory and their team replace our roof, paint fascia, soffits, install gutters and guards on our home. PERFECTION!!! Hannah is the BEST communicator and everyone shows up right when they are supposed to. This team worked so hard with our insurance company to get us the best coverage, handled ALL the paperwork and phone calls. Roof Republic used the best products for our home and in the end our insurance rates went DOWN!!! Best part, we absolutely feel like we have a brand new house just by replacing the roof and allowing Roof Republic to guide us in the design process. Everything from picking shingles, trim color, gutter color…and they were a joy to work with. You don’t get this kind of care often. And they really did give us fair prices and work with our budget. Just wonderful. Thank you to everyone at Roof Republic!

Frequently asked

Is Roof Republic licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing contractor licence, so no Montgomery County roofer holds one. What you can verify is current general liability and workers compensation insurance, status with the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT), BBB accreditation, and any city registration. Roof Republic is recorded in our data as an RCAT Member.
What is the difference between RCAT Member and RCAT Licensed?
RCAT Member means the company pays association dues. The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through testing and continuing education and is the stronger signal. Roof Republic is listed as a Member, which is the membership rather than the earned credential.
Is the BBB accreditation genuine?
Yes. The Better Business Bureau's own profile for Roof Republic Inc of Conroe shows the company as a BBB Accredited Business since 26 May 2023 with an A+ rating, and records the business as starting on 8 March 2022. That is one of the few credentials here confirmed directly at the issuing organization.
What about the Owens Corning Preferred Contractor claim?
The company displays Owens Corning Preferred Contractor branding on its own site and an Owens Corning contractor profile exists under the name Roof Republic. We could not read the address on that profile to confirm it is this Conroe business, so ask to see the current Owens Corning certificate if an enhanced Owens Corning system warranty is part of your quote.
Does hail matter in Montgomery County, or is it mainly a wind and rain area?
Both. Montgomery County sits south of the worst of Texas Hail Alley but still takes damaging hail and severe thunderstorm wind, and it takes heavy tropical rainfall from decayed Gulf systems. Damage often shows up as lifted or creased shingles and displaced flashing rather than obvious holes, so a dated post storm inspection is worth having.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth fitting near Conroe?
They are worth pricing. Class 4 impact rated shingles are tested against a two inch steel ball drop and most Texas carriers offer a premium discount for them. Ask your insurer to quote the discount in writing and weigh it against the upcharge over the expected life of the roof.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Conroe or unincorporated Montgomery County?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so it depends on jurisdiction. The City of Conroe generally requires a permit for roof replacement, while parts of unincorporated Montgomery County have lighter requirements. Confirm in writing which jurisdiction your address falls under and who is pulling the permit.
How should I handle a storm damage insurance claim?
Report to your insurer yourself and keep control of the claim. Get an independent dated inspection with photographs, keep the inspection separate from the contract to do the work, never sign anything that assigns your claim benefits to a contractor, and be wary of any offer to waive or absorb your deductible, which is not lawful in Texas.
What should I ask Roof Republic before signing?
Ask for insurance certificates sent directly by the insurer, a written scope naming the shingle line, underlayment, ventilation and flashing work, who is pulling the permit, the workmanship warranty length and what voids it, whether the crew on your roof is employed by the company, and a payment schedule tied to milestones rather than a large deposit.
What are Roof Republic's hours and contact details?
The company publishes (346) 462-0989 and admin@roofrepublicinc.com, with an office at 27351 Blueberry Hill Drive, Suite 51, Conroe, TX 77385. Its website is roofrepublicinc.com. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturday 8am to 1pm, closed Sunday.
