About

Ramon Roofing, Inc. is a family owned luxury residential and commercial roofing contractor based in Fort Worth. Paul Ramon founded the company in 1995 after starting out as a summer employee at a roofing company, and the business still operates from 3027 Ramona Dr, Suite 110, in west Fort Worth. The site's own line is that it has been serving the Dallas and Fort Worth metro since 1995. The company positions itself around high-end and architectural roofing rather than volume storm work. Residential systems include clay tile, concrete tile, slate, synthetic slate and shake, copper, standing seam metal, wood shingle and asphalt shingles, and the company also works with custom homebuilders. On the commercial side it installs PVC, EPDM, TPO, coatings and metal roof systems for low-slope and steep-slope buildings. Ramon Roofing states that it does not use subcontractors and runs an in-house sheet metal shop for custom fabrication. The company is BBB Accredited with an A plus rating, accredited since 1999, and lists membership of RCAT, the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association, the Central Texas Roofing Contractors Association, the Tile Roofing Institute, the National Slate Association and the Metal Roofing Contractors Association. RCAT records show a Residential Roofing Licence credential for the company. Texas has no state roofing licence, so homeowners should still ask for a current certificate of insurance directly from the contractor's agent.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0182 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We recently had our roof replaced and the experience with Ramon Roofing was outstanding from start to finish. The crew was professional, punctual, and incredibly hardworking. They took the time to explain the entire process, answered all of our questions, and made sure we felt confident every step of the way. The quality of the work is excellent—our new roof looks amazing and we’ve already received compliments from neighbors. They also did a thorough cleanup afterward, leaving our yard spotless. What really stood out was their honesty and attention to detail. No surprises, no hidden costs—just great service and craftsmanship. I highly recommend Ramon Roofing to anyone needing roofing work.

My neighbor recommended Ramon Roofing to me and I’m grateful! I called the Ramon office and had a callback immediately from Jorge who scheduled a personal meeting at our house with another specialist to inspect our roof both inside and out. We had some leaks coming in from several areas not easily accessible. Throughout the process Jorge and the crews were troubleshooting all areas where water could come in. Our tiles had been discontinued so Jorge figured out how to use metal seams to repair areas where the metal could not be noticed from the ground and use out old tiles to repair areas where visibility was important. Ramon went above and beyond expectations and I highly recommend them !!

I highly recommend Ramon Roofing. They recently did much needed repairs of several ridges and valleys on my roof. Their work was exceptional and their price for the work was the best quote I received. Most of all I believe them to be honest and fair. The project manager, Seth Pelusi, reviewed the entire project plan up front, provided a detailed and accurate cost estimate and completed the work as promised on time and on budget. These are good honest people.

Very knowledgeable and experienced. Ramon Roofing did a wonderful job repairing my old clay tile roof. The crew was very nice and quick on the job. I was very impressed and will use them again if I have any other issues with my roof.

Ramon roofing installed a Ludiwici concrete tile on our roof after the original 90 year old roof gave out a few years ago. They did a fantastic job working with our insurance making sure we got the same roof tile, but more modern. The communication and work was first class. They recently did another smaller job with the same concrete Ludiwici tile. It’s a pleasure to work with a contractor who communicates and does the job right.

Frequently asked

Where is Ramon Roofing based?
The company's headquarters is at 3027 Ramona Dr, Suite 110, Fort Worth, TX 76116, which is the address on its own contact page, its BBB profile and its RCAT record. It serves Fort Worth, Dallas and takes select projects in the Austin area.
Does Texas issue a state roofing licence?
No. Texas has no state roofing licence, so any roofing company can trade without one. Judge a Texas roofer on verified insurance, association credentials such as RCAT, BBB history, and a checkable list of completed jobs.
What does the RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential mean?
RCAT runs two separate things. Plain membership means the company pays dues and belongs to the association. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through experience and testing requirements. They are not equivalent and it is worth asking which one a contractor actually holds.
What insurance should a Fort Worth homeowner check?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly from the contractor's insurance agent, showing general liability and workers compensation, with dates that are current for your job. Texas does not require private employers to carry workers compensation, so confirm it rather than assume it.
How bad is hail in Tarrant County?
Tarrant County sits in the heart of what insurers call Hail Alley, and hail is the single biggest driver of roof replacement across North Texas. Damage often looks like random bruising, granule loss and soft spots on shingles, dented metal and split wood shakes, and it may not leak straight away.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it in Fort Worth?
Class 4 impact-rated shingles are the standard hail upgrade in North Texas and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for installing them. Ask your carrier what discount applies and get it in writing before choosing the product, since the discount often pays back a meaningful share of the upgrade.
Do slate and clay tile roofs make sense in North Texas?
They are common on high-end and architectural homes and they last far longer than asphalt, but they need a contractor who genuinely understands the underlayment, fastening and flashing details for heavy tile and slate. Ask to see completed tile or slate work and check credentials such as Tile Roofing Institute or National Slate Association membership.
Who handles roofing permits in Fort Worth?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting is city by city. In Fort Worth the City of Fort Worth Development Services Department handles residential re-roof permits and inspections. Ask the contractor to confirm what the specific scope requires and who pulls the permit.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Ask for the total price and what is excluded, whether the crew is in-house or subcontracted, the manufacturer warranty and the separate workmanship warranty in years, how decking replacement is priced, how long the job will take, the payment schedule, and what the cancellation terms are.
Can a roofer handle my hail insurance claim for me?
No. Texas law prohibits a roofing contractor from acting as a public insurance adjuster on a property they are contracted to repair, and it lets you void a contract that was contingent on insurance proceeds within a set period after the carrier denies all or part of the claim. Be wary of anyone offering to waive or absorb your deductible, which is illegal in Texas.
