About
Najars Roofing is a locally owned roofing contractor based at 2100 Norfolk Drive in Arlington, Texas. The Census geocoder places that address in Arlington city, Tarrant County, which confirms the city and county on file. The company is owned by Nestor Najar and works across Arlington and the wider Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Its RCAT directory record gives a date established of February 25, 2017, while the company's own site says its owner brings more than 15 years of industry experience.
The work is weighted toward residential re-roofing and storm response, which is the dominant pattern in North Texas hail country. Services listed on the company's own pages include full residential roof replacement, emergency roof repair, storm and hail damage repair, free roof inspections, fascia and soffit repair, siding, and seamless gutters with downspouts and leaf guards. The site also describes flat and low slope repair work on commercial buildings such as offices and warehouses.
Najars Roofing describes itself as locally owned, fully licensed, and insured, and advertises a five year workmanship warranty on full roof replacements. Texas has no state roofing license, so wording of that kind refers to local registration and insurance rather than a state credential. No manufacturer certification for this company was found in the GAF, Owens Corning, or CertainTeed contractor directories.

Insurance & credential verification
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0462 or the company name.
Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

7/3 update - Second time to have Nestor. This time is a complete roof replacement as it got damaged by the strong wind and hail storm a few weeks ago.
Same as last time - Nestor is very punctual. Showed up on time for the initial assessment first and then went with the insurance inspector again.
He explained to us in details on pros and cons of repairs vs complete roof replacement.
Due to the uncertainty of summer weather in Arlington, he sent 9 guys ti work on the roof since early in the morning. Thanks to the punctual and effect work, the roof is completed in a day.
Very happy with the results. And they clean up nicely!
Very professional and Excellent work! Nestor is on time and communicate very well.
There was a hole on the soffit due to DISH installation. Nestor examined carefully, and repaired it from the inside.
Highly Recommended!

Recently I was in search for a Roofer. I went to Goggle and noticed Najars roofing company. There were other roofing companies to choose from, but instead I went with my gut feeling. It was the right choice. I am 100 percent satisfied with the installation, the cleanup and the price. There is no evidence a roof was installed. The work was completed in one day. Highly recommend Najars Roofing. Lawrence

I can say this is a trust worth company. They provide top high quality service. Nestor has been very responsive from day 1 and ensures all is taking care of. Another plus is they work with your HOA plus the insurance. I was very hesitant to trust companies to work on my house. Now i know someone who is reliable, responsive, and the job performed is excellent A+.

Frequently asked
Does Texas issue a state roofing license?
No. Texas has no state roofing license, so any contractor in Arlington can legally hang a shingle. That is why the checks that matter here are proof of general liability and workers compensation insurance, a verifiable physical address, and voluntary credentials such as RCAT status. Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly from the insurer, not a photocopy from the salesperson.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
They are not the same thing. A Member simply pays dues to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL, or CRL) is earned separately through testing and continuing education and is issued by RCAT, not by the state. Najars Roofing is listed on this directory with the Licensed status.
Why does hail matter so much for an Arlington roof?
Arlington sits inside the North Texas hail corridor, where large hail events are a routine part of the weather year rather than a rare emergency. Most roof replacements in Tarrant County are driven by hail bruising and granule loss rather than age alone. A roof that looks fine from the street can still have impact damage that shortens its life and voids coverage claims later.
Are impact resistant Class 4 shingles worth it in Tarrant County?
For most Arlington homeowners they are worth pricing out. UL 2218 Class 4 shingles are tested against a two inch steel ball and resist hail bruising far better than standard three tab or architectural shingles. Many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for a documented Class 4 roof, so ask your carrier what the discount is before you decide, and get the product data sheet in writing.
How do I tell hail damage from normal wear?
Hail bruising shows up as random dark circular spots where granules have been knocked loose, often with a soft or spongy feel underneath. Normal aging is uniform across the slope. Look for matching dents on soft metal such as gutters, downspouts, vents, and the air conditioner fins, because those confirm hail actually hit the property and are what an adjuster checks first.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Arlington?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting is set city by city. Arlington does require a permit for reroofing work, and the contractor should pull it in their own name rather than asking you to pull it as the homeowner. If a contractor wants you to pull the permit yourself, treat that as a warning sign about their insurance and registration.
Should I sign a contingency agreement before the insurance adjuster comes out?
Be careful. A contingency agreement locks you to one contractor if your claim is approved, sometimes before you know the scope or the price. Texas law lets you cancel a residential roofing contract tied to an insurance claim within a set window after the carrier denies the claim in whole or in part. Read the cancellation clause before you sign anything at the door.
Can a roofer legally waive my insurance deductible?
No. Under Texas Insurance Code Chapter 707 it is illegal for a contractor to pay, rebate, waive, or absorb your insurance deductible, and it is illegal to advertise that they will. If a company offers to eat the deductible or write a fake invoice to cover it, that is insurance fraud and it exposes you as well as them. Walk away.
What should be written into the contract before work starts?
Get the shingle manufacturer, product line, and color in writing, plus decking replacement pricing per sheet, the underlayment type, ice and water shield locations, ventilation changes, the number of layers being torn off, cleanup and magnet sweep, permit responsibility, and the exact workmanship warranty length. Vague line items such as roof replacement with no product named are where disputes start.
How long does a shingle roof last in the Dallas-Fort Worth heat?
North Texas is harder on roofs than most of the country because of extreme summer deck temperatures, wide temperature swings, and hail. Architectural asphalt shingles rated for 30 years often deliver closer to 15 to 20 years here, and a poorly ventilated attic shortens that further. Adequate intake and exhaust ventilation is one of the cheapest things you can fix during a replacement.
