About

MyPro Construction & Roofing is a general contractor with a roofing focus, based at 1008 Harrison Ave in Arlington, Tarrant County, and working across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. BBB records show the business started in 2011 and was incorporated in January 2011, with Josh Conatser listed as president. The company's about page names Josh Conatser, project manager Jace Lane and office manager Michelle Taylor, and states leadership with more than two decades of experience each in roofing and construction. RCAT lists the company as a residential and commercial contractor member. The strongest verifiable credential is with Owens Corning. Owens Corning's own contractor directory lists MyPro Construction at the Arlington address and phone number as a Platinum Preferred Contractor, the top tier of that network, along with Top of the House certified, SureNail Technology trained and TPRS trained designations. The company also displays a CertainTeed Low Slope Roofing Master credentialed contractor badge and an ORLO forensic engineering training credential on its site, and its about page claims a CertainTeed Gold Star designation. Those CertainTeed and ORLO items are stated by the company and were not confirmed on a manufacturer directory during this research. BBB shows the business as not accredited and not rated, because BBB says it lacks sufficient information to issue a rating. The published work list covers residential composition shingle, impact resistant, metal, standing seam, tile and stone coated steel roofs, and commercial hot mop, TPO, modified built up and other low slope systems, plus decking replacement, gutters and downspouts, and interior and exterior painting including Level 5 finishes. The company advertises a lifetime workmanship warranty, says it registers the manufacturer warranty in the customer's name, and says it supplies the documentation homeowners need for a Class 4 impact resistant insurance discount.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

My Pro put a new roof on our house 9 years ago, did a great job. We recently had a leak in the roof, due to the flashing and shingles around the fireplace coming loose, gotta love the Texas heat, so we called Bobby Andrews and he was out here the very next day. He inspected the roof and had his guy out here the next day to repair the flashing and shingles, he also did a tune up on the entire roof and cleaned all the debris off. Very happy with their work and great care of their customers. Highly recommend.

I had a fantastic experience working with MyPro Construction. From start to finish, the process was smooth and professional. Eric was incredibly easy to work with—very responsive, knowledgeable, and great at communicating throughout the entire project. The team did an excellent job putting together the plans and walking us through everything step by step. They made what could have been a stressful process feel simple and organized. The final results were even better than we expected. The craftsmanship and attention to detail really show, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. I would absolutely recommend MyPro Construction to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality work.

Jared and his team came out, measured, came back a week later and did an amazing job. The staff was professional, friendly, and very respectful. We had them do a standing seam roof on the front porch and a small eyebrow and we just love it! Great work! Great team!

From the moment we made phone contact, to the end of the repairs, was nothing but great service! Rob and MyPro were recommended to me for a roof repair that ended up not being covered by home warranty. Rob came out, looked at the damaged roof, showed me pictures and videos, and explained what all was going on up there. Gave me a quote and, once I decided to go with his company, was out the very next morning right on time! And more pictures to follow up with! Thank you Rob and friends! Couldn't have been a more perfect match and repair for today's storm!

Our experience with MyPro Construction was wonderful. Eric Rausch went above and beyond to make the process smooth and easy. He communicated with us every step of the way and was always available to answer any questions. MyPro helped communicate with our insurance company regarding the scope of work to properly perform the job. Subsequently, we received additional payment to help with the cost of the project. The quality of work for our roof and fence was excellent!! We are a picky client, and we were more than please with MyPro’s quality of work, ethics, and customer service. We will be recommending them to anyone who needs a roof in the DFW area. Thank you Eric and team for your time and quality service!

Frequently asked

Is MyPro licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not license roofing contractors at the state level, so no Texas roofer is state licensed. What can be checked here is the Owens Corning Platinum Preferred listing on Owens Corning's own directory, RCAT membership, and a current certificate of insurance. BBB lists the business as carrying general liability and workers compensation.
What does Owens Corning Platinum Preferred actually mean?
Platinum Preferred is the top tier of the Owens Corning Roofing Contractor Network. Contractors have to meet insurance, credit and workmanship standards and stay in good standing, and the tier unlocks the longest Owens Corning system warranties. It is a manufacturer program, not a government license. It was confirmed for MyPro on Owens Corning's own contractor profile page.
Is RCAT membership the same as an RCAT license?
No. RCAT has dues paying Members and it separately awards an earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL). MyPro is listed as a Member. The two are not interchangeable and a listing should not be read as the earned license credential.
Does MyPro have a BBB rating?
BBB has a profile for MyPro Construction & Roofing, LLC in Arlington but lists it as not accredited and shows no letter rating, stating it does not have sufficient information to issue one. That is not a negative mark, it simply means BBB is not the place to judge this company. Manufacturer directories and references are more useful here.
What roofing systems does MyPro install?
On the residential side, composition asphalt shingles, impact resistant shingles, metal and standing seam metal, tile, and stone coated steel. On the commercial side, hot mop, TPO, modified built up and other flat and low slope applications.
Will a Class 4 roof lower my insurance in Dallas-Fort Worth?
Many Texas insurers offer a premium credit for a UL 2218 Class 4 impact resistant roof, and DFW sits in the state's worst hail corridor, so it is a common upgrade. The discount amount is set by your carrier, not the roofer. Ask your agent what they allow, then keep the manufacturer's Class 4 certificate and the invoice.
How do hail claims usually work in North Texas?
A roofer inspects and documents the damage, you file with your carrier, an adjuster inspects, and the carrier issues an estimate based on replacement cost less your deductible and any depreciation held back until the work is done. Texas law prohibits a contractor from paying or waiving your deductible, so treat any offer to do that as a red flag.
Who pulls the roofing permit around Arlington?
There is no statewide residential building code enforcement in Texas, so permitting is city by city. Arlington, Fort Worth, Dallas, Grand Prairie and the smaller Tarrant and Dallas county cities each have their own rules and fees. Get it in writing that the contractor pulls the permit and schedules the inspection.
What is a workmanship warranty and how is it different from the shingle warranty?
The manufacturer warranty covers the product itself and is registered in your name. The workmanship warranty covers how the roof was installed and is backed only by the contractor. MyPro advertises a lifetime workmanship warranty. Ask for the written terms, what voids it, and whether it transfers if you sell the house.
What should I ask before signing with any DFW roofer?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent from the agent, the manufacturer credential in writing so you can look it up on the manufacturer's own site, a line item scope covering shingle, underlayment, ice and water at valleys, ventilation, flashing and disposal, the workmanship warranty term, and a payment schedule with no large up front deposit. Do not sign a blank contingency or an assignment of insurance benefits you have not read.
