Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

This company appears on the city's own list of registered contractors. The city publishes no certificate number or expiry date for this programme, so ask to see the registration itself before work starts.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0037 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Finding contractors who genuinely care about the quality of their work isn't always easy, but Frizzer's Roof & Gutter is one of those companies. They were professional, easy to work with, and paid close attention to every detail throughout the project. The workmanship and communication were excellent from start to finish. I highly recommend Frizzer's Roof & Gutter to anyone looking for quality workmanship and a company that truly stands behind its work.

Frazier Roofing came out to fix a leak in the roof and did a great, quick job. After Jeremy earned my trust, I gave them a referral and then they did the entire roof here. They did a great job. The team was detailed, fast and even quieter than I remembered from the previous few roofing jobs on this street. The only issues we had were resolved by Jeremy, and they weren't roof related, and were small issues. All fixed after they took a look at them and sent their guys out. 10/10 would recommend to others (and have).

As always choosing a contractor for home repairs can be very daunting because you can’t always find a good one at a reasonable price. Frazier Roof and Gutters came out and gave me an estimate on gutter installation which I found to be surprisingly fair compared to other companies. Their work crew was here on time and did an exceptional job, so happy with my decision.

The gutters they installed on my home are beautiful!! I chose the copper color and cannot stop looking at them; I never knew gutters could be so stunning. The two gentlemen who installed my gutters showed up on time, worked non-stop, completed the installation (5 hours), were excellent communicators, and considered my future projects when adjusting the height of the downspouts. They also installed my rain barrel diverters perfectly! They cleaned up the yard and left it exactly as they found it. The payment process could be improved by having a dedicated link directly associated with the amount and invoice number. Toggling back and forth to get the correct amount and to add my invoice number is a minor inconvenience. Also, the sales rep who met and arranged my gutter installation suddenly quit the company one week before my scheduled date, which messed up my installation date. However, after I called the office, they quickly addressed it and accommodated me. I cannot say enough good things about Adrienne and the install crew. Thanks so much!

Had a wonderful experience. Adrienne and Christian were so helpful during the entire process and then the guys who did the install (i believe Christian and Anthony) did a great job, very thorough and friendly. Highly recommend and would use them again!

Frequently asked

Does Texas license roofing contractors?
No, Texas has no state roofing license. The practical substitutes are proof of liability insurance, voluntary credentials like the RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor program, manufacturer certifications, and city registration where required. Longevity and a verifiable local address also count for a lot.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
RCAT membership means a company belongs to the trade association. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is earned separately through examination and vetting. Ask specifically which one a company holds, since the two are often blurred in marketing.
How serious is hail risk in Arlington and Tarrant County?
Very. The DFW metroplex sits in the heart of Texas Hail Alley, and Tarrant County has taken repeated multi-inch hail events, including the destructive 1995 Mayfest storm. Hail is the top driver of roof replacement in the area, so post-storm inspections are routine here.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth the cost in DFW?
Frequently yes. Class 4 shingles resist hail better and many Texas insurers discount premiums for them. Check whether your policy adds a cosmetic damage exclusion for impact-rated roofs before deciding, since that changes the claim math.
Can a roofer pay or waive my insurance deductible?
No. Texas law has prohibited contractors from waiving or absorbing insurance deductibles since 2019, and insurers may require proof of payment. A company offering a free deductible is proposing something illegal, which tells you what you need to know.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Arlington?
Permitting is set city by city in Texas. Arlington and most mid-cities have their own building departments and rules, and requirements differ for repair versus full replacement. A roofer working these cities regularly should handle whatever the city requires; confirm with the city if in doubt.
What do GAF and Owens Corning contractor credentials actually mean?
Shingle manufacturers run tiered contractor programs with training, insurance, and workmanship requirements, and certified contractors can offer enhanced material warranties. The credentials are meaningful but always verify them in the manufacturer's own online directory rather than taking a website badge at face value. Frazier appears in both GAF's and Owens Corning's directories.
Does Frazier Roofs & Gutters handle commercial buildings?
Yes. The company installs and repairs flat and low-slope commercial systems including TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen, and metal, and it is listed in GAF's commercial contractor directory as an asphaltic and single-ply roofer.
Why choose seamless gutters after a reroof?
Seamless gutters are formed on site in continuous runs, which means fewer joints to leak and better handling of the heavy downpours North Texas storms deliver. Pairing gutter work with a roof project also lets one crew coordinate flashing and drainage details.
What should I confirm before signing a roofing contract?
Get the insurance certificate directly from the insurer, a written scope naming exact materials and warranty terms, local references, and a payment schedule with no large upfront demand. After hailstorms, prefer established local companies over door-knocking storm chasers.
