About
Calvary Roofing and Construction LLC is a small, family run roofing and exterior repair contractor at 14991 Boaz Lane in Lindale, roughly fifteen minutes north of Tyler. It was registered as a Texas LLC in February 2022 and is run by a husband and wife team. The site describes around eleven years of combined construction and general contracting experience behind the business, which is team experience rather than company age.
The company handles roof repair and full replacement, same day roof inspections and storm damage evaluations, and it also takes on the fabric around the roof: fascia, soffit, gutters, siding, drywall, painting and deck repair. Its BBB profile additionally lists metal roofing, flat roofing, commercial roofing, hail repair and roof leak repair. The site emphasises checking the details that get skipped on cheap reroofs, naming drip edge, felt and starter shingles, and documenting damage with photographs.
Calvary became a BBB Accredited Business in August 2025 and holds an A+ rating. Its published service area covers Lindale, Tyler and Longview plus a wide ring of East Texas towns. We found no manufacturer certification for this company on any manufacturer's own contractor directory, so no manufacturer credential is claimed here.
Highlights

BBB Accredited with an A+ rating since August 2025.
Offers same day roof inspections and full property storm damage evaluations across the Tyler and Longview corridor.
Covers the trades either side of the roof (fascia, soffit, gutters, siding, drywall and painting), so storm repairs do not need a second contractor.

Insurance & credential verification
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

City/county registration
Not checked for LindaleTexas has no state roofing licence, and city rules differ: some require contractor registration, some run a voluntary registry, some neither. Ask this company and your local permit office.
Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0668 or the company name.
Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Nick and his crew did an amazing job and went above and beyond! I was having some issues with my roof leaking and Nick came and assessed everything and got it fixed fast! It looks brand new and even better than it did before! He also went out of his way to repair any other questionable spots that may have caused leaks down the line. Highly recommend!

We highly recommend Nick and his crew at Calvary Roofing for all your roofing needs! Calvary Roofing handled everything from start to finish on our roof replacement and made the process easy and stress-free! Nick is very knowledgeable in the roofing industry; he answered all of our questions, dealt with the paperwork and communications with the warranty company for our roof replacement, and kept us informed during the entire process from day-one. Nick also had the job done in one day, including the clean-up, which was a plus! Calvary Roofing’s work is guaranteed, and they not only do roof replacements, but they also handle repairs, inspections, and construction projects, so it gives you peace of mind that you’re making a good investment in your home, and with the company you’re dealing with. I have no hesitation in recommending Calvary Roofing!

Working with Calvary Roofing (Nick) was a very positive experience. They are professional, efficient, and knowledgeable about the services they offer. - After the storms last spring we needed to have the metal roof on our business replaced. Nick kept us updated every step of the way and he stayed in contact with our insurance adjuster. - We are very pleased with the outcome of the install and would highly recommend his company for commercial and residential roofing, whether you need repairs or total roof replacement.

Frequently asked
Is Calvary Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing contractor licence, so no roofer in Texas holds one. What you can verify is insurance, a BBB record, city or county registration where required, and voluntary industry credentials. Calvary has been BBB Accredited with an A+ rating since August 2025 and is recorded here with the RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor status.
What is the RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential?
RCAT is the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. Plain membership means paid dues. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is separately earned through documented experience and examination, and it is the higher of the two statuses. Calvary is recorded here as Licensed. It is an industry credential, not a government licence, so still check insurance.
Is the company certified by a shingle manufacturer such as GAF or Owens Corning?
We did not find Calvary on any manufacturer's own contractor directory, so no manufacturer certification is listed here. That is not a mark against the company, since certification is optional and often tied to volume. If a manufacturer's enhanced warranty matters to you, ask directly which certifications the company currently holds and ask to see the certificate.
How old is the company?
The BBB records Calvary Roofing and Construction LLC as incorporated on 25 February 2022. The website's reference to over a decade of combined experience describes the owners' background in construction and general contracting, not the age of the company. Both facts are worth holding together when you weigh a workmanship warranty.
Should I fit Class 4 impact resistant shingles in Smith County?
It is worth pricing. Class 4 is the top UL 2218 impact rating and is designed to take hail without cracking the mat. Many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for a Class 4 roof, though the amount varies by carrier and is never automatic. Ask your insurer what the credit would be, then compare it against the material upcharge over the life of the roof.
How soon after a hail storm should I get an inspection?
Soon. Hail bruising frequently does not leak straight away, and Texas policies expect prompt notice of damage. A dated inspection with photographs is worth having even if you do not file, because it establishes the condition of the roof. Calvary advertises same day inspections and full property storm damage evaluations.
Can a roofer pay or waive my deductible?
No. Texas law makes it an offence for a contractor to pay, rebate, waive or absorb an insurance deductible on a property claim. Any offer of a free roof that works by covering the deductible should end the conversation, because it normally means the estimate submitted to the carrier has been inflated.
Do I need a permit to reroof near Lindale?
Texas has no statewide building code office, so permitting is handled locally. Inside the Lindale city limits it goes through the City of Lindale, and addresses outside city limits fall to Smith County. Requirements differ again in Tyler and in Gregg County around Longview. Get it in writing who pulls the permit before work starts.
What should I ask before signing a contract with any East Texas roofer?
Ask for current certificates of insurance for general liability and workers compensation sent to you directly by the insurer. Then get the written scope covering underlayment, drip edge, starter course, decking replacement rate and ventilation, the manufacturer warranty and the separate workmanship warranty in years, who pulls the permit, the payment schedule, and how rotten decking changes the price.
How do I spot a storm chasing roofer after an East Texas hail event?
Storm chasers show up within days of a hail event with out of state plates and disappear before warranty claims start. Look for a permanent local address, a listed local number, a BBB record, and a workmanship warranty from a company likely to still be trading. Never pay in full up front and never sign anything assigning your insurance benefits without reading it.
