Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Dennis Garrett exceeds expectations when it comes to providing customer service and expertise for standing seam roofs. He helped guide me through the entire process including working with my insurance company so that I could receive the best pricing for my claim. He also provided me updates on a regular basis. In addition, he communicated the necessary information for me to make an educated decision regarding the type of roof I wanted. I have always wanted to replace my shingle roof with a metal one and this was a perfect opportunity for me to do so. The product is amazing and I cannot say thank you enough to Dennis, ARP Roofing, and the installation crew. Your professionalism is outstanding! Thank you.

We would like to thank ARP for a very professional, efficient and thorough effort from initial visit, quote, working with insurance to secure us more than originally estimated, to showing up on schedule thru completion of the project. We were hesitant on moving from composite to standing seam metal and Preston Williams was extremely knowledgeable and patient giving us the ups and downs of both but allowed us to make the final call without pressure either way. Can’t say enough positive things about Preston and his Team. Extremely pleased with service, quality and value received on our purchase. Thank you ARP and Preston! Robert & Chris Chadwick

Great company, great people, great experience. From start to finish. My salesman Josh went above and beyond making certain every concern I had was addressed. The follow through at the end to make sure everything was taken care of was just phenomenal. It was a first time experience making an insurance claim for hail damage and he patiently walked me through the entire process. Highly recommend these guys. Great company!

Frequently asked

Is ARP Roofing & Remodeling licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a statewide roofing license, so there is no state license to check. Instead, homeowners should confirm a roofer's insurance, its standing with trade groups like RCAT, and any city or county registration where required. ARP Roofing is a member of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT).
What does it mean that ARP Roofing is an RCAT Member?
RCAT Member status means the company pays dues and participates in the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. It is a different, separately earned credential from RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor designation (CRRL/RRL/CRL), so homeowners should not assume Member status alone certifies technical licensing.
Does ARP Roofing carry insurance?
According to the company's own materials, ARP Roofing carries $2,000,000 in general liability insurance. Homeowners should always ask any roofer for a current certificate of insurance before work begins.
Does ARP Roofing install impact-resistant shingles for hail country?
Yes. ARP Roofing's materials list impact-resistant shingles among its offerings, which matters in San Antonio and the surrounding Hill Country where hail is a leading cause of roof damage and insurance claims.
What roofing materials does ARP Roofing work with?
The company works with asphalt shingles, metal roofing, clay tile, single-ply TPO/PVC membranes, modified bitumen, and roof coatings, covering both residential and commercial systems.
Is ARP Roofing BBB accredited?
Yes, ARP Roofing & Remodeling has held BBB accreditation with an A+ rating since December 2017.
Does San Antonio require a roofing permit?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting and inspection requirements are set city by city and county by county. Homeowners in San Antonio and Bexar County should confirm permit requirements with their local building department before a reroof begins.
What should I ask ARP Roofing before signing a contract?
Ask for a current certificate of insurance, confirmation of RCAT membership status, manufacturer certifications for the materials being installed, a written scope of work, and references from recent local jobs.
Does ARP Roofing help with hail damage insurance claims?
The company lists storm damage restoration among its services, which typically includes helping homeowners document damage for an insurance claim, though homeowners should independently verify claim handling terms in writing.
Where does ARP Roofing operate in Texas?
ARP Roofing's offices serve San Antonio, the Texas Hill Country around Boerne, Austin, and Victoria, with its main San Antonio location at 10401 I-10W.
