About

Andrus Brothers Roofing's Lubbock office is part of the same Andrus family roofing business that Jerry and Steve Andrus started in Amarillo in 1981. The company expanded south to Lubbock in 1989 and has operated there for more than 35 years, offering free roof inspections and traditional, impact resistant, and stone coated steel metal roofing options. The Lubbock entity is registered separately with RCAT as a Licensed Roofing Contractor, a credential held by Jeremy Andrus (RRL), and has been BBB Accredited since 1994. It is recognized locally through the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and has picked up multiple Choice Awards and Best of Lubbock honors in recent years. Ownership is shared among several family partners, including Jerry Andrus, Melissa Andrus-Proffitt, and Jeremy Andrus, tying the Lubbock office back to the original Amarillo business. See notes for how the two RCAT listings relate.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0260 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I can't say enough about Andrus Bros Roofing -- from Trevor Andrus (personable, very helpful, responsive), to Abel and the roofing crew (courteous and thorough), to Robynne and office staff (very personable and helpful) - I had THE best overall experience and customer service!!! And the new roof looks amazing!! Having my house on the Market, thinking my 2020 roof would be sufficient for selling our home, the June 5th tornadic supercell storm and hail damage nixed that hope. I talked to 4 reputable roofing companies, and since my neighbor and dentist referred me to Andrus Bros, and then to be able to work with Trevor Andrus (so good to work with), I'm most pleased with having chosen Andrus Bros Roofing!! Thank you very much for a job well done and for the excellent overall experience and customer service I had with you!! I'm very appreciative!!!

Andrus Brothers replaced my roof and did an outstanding and very thorough and fast job. They arrived on time, worked hard, gave me a better roof and cleaned up after themselves. But the best part was the knowledge and help that I received from Wyatt Mote who came out to talk to me about what needed to be done and how to do it. Wyatt expertly walked me through contacting my insurance company and came out again to go over my whole property with the insurance adjuster and then when I received that report back and the insurance company detailed what it would cover, Wyatt went over how all of that worked and what some of the terms that didn’t know were. Wyatt worked seamlessly with the adjuster, the insurance company and me to insure that I got the very most that my insurance would cover and pay. As a septuagenarian who had never had a roofing claim before , it was great knowing that I was being treated fairly. Wyatt was patient and knowledgeable. I appreciate that.

Trayton, Mateo and crew are all excellent. Trayton handled each step of the process professionally, consistently and overall such a joy to work with. You don’t find people these days, with communication skills and who treat you with respect these days, like Trayton. The insurance company worked well with Andrus too! No issues with supplemental estimate being approved. The roof and skylights look amazing, and the crew was tidy and respectful. They thoroughly cleaned up all the nails too.

Awesome Experience! A hail storm came through Lubbock and our house took significant damage, especially to the roof. A neighbor suggested that I call Andrus Brothers Roofing, and thank goodness I did! They came to evaluate the roof almost immediately, then worked with the inspector to make sure that the estimate was appropriate. The installation of the roof was very quick, and I was amazed by the attention to detail. Not just the hand-nailed technique for the shingles, to ensure that every shingle is placed appropriately; but also the clean up, and going over the lawn with a magnet and essentially a fine-toothed comb. They were always available, excellent communication, and super friendly - everyone, in the office to the roofers to the Andrus Brothers themselves. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Andrus Brothers Roofing, because they are that awesome. Do yourself a favor, and call Andrus Brothers Roofing for all your roofing needs. Thank you!

I can't say enough great things about this company. Ty Porter (no relation, by the way) was wonderful throughout the whole process. He truly went above & beyond, is very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with - especially with our insurance company too! We would recommend him & this company to anyone needing a new roof!

Frequently asked

Is Andrus Brothers Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a statewide roofing license, so no roofer can be state licensed. The Lubbock office of Andrus Brothers Roofing is registered with RCAT as a Licensed Roofing Contractor, a credential held by Jeremy Andrus (RRL), separate from plain RCAT membership.
What is the difference between RCAT Member and RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
Plain RCAT Membership just requires paying dues. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL/RRL/CRL) is separately earned. Andrus Brothers Roofing's Lubbock RCAT listing shows the RRL credential for Jeremy Andrus alongside a stated Residential Roofing License number (01-0260).
How do I confirm Andrus Brothers Roofing's insurance coverage?
Request a current certificate of insurance directly from the company and confirm it with the issuing carrier before work starts. This listing reports credentials and public status only; homeowners should always verify insurance themselves.
Does the Lubbock office install impact resistant, Class 4 shingles?
Yes, the product line includes impact resistant shingle options alongside traditional composition shingles and stone coated steel metal roofing, which is relevant given West Texas's hail exposure.
Does Andrus Brothers Roofing offer free roof inspections?
Yes. The Lubbock office advertises free roof inspections and consultations, with a stated policy of not recommending a new roof unless one is actually needed.
What areas does the Lubbock office serve?
The Lubbock office serves Lubbock and the surrounding West Texas area. It is a separate branch office from the original Amarillo location (see notes for the family relationship between the two).
What roofing materials does the Lubbock office install?
Traditional composition shingles, impact resistant shingles, designer shingles, stone coated steel metal roofing, wood shakes and shingles, tile, and energy efficient roofing options.
Are roofing permits required in Lubbock?
Texas has no statewide building code, so Lubbock handles its own permitting and inspections for roofing work rather than a state agency.
What should I ask before hiring a roofer in Lubbock?
Confirm their RCAT status, ask for proof of insurance, get a written contract with materials and warranty terms spelled out, and check recent local reviews before signing.
How long has Andrus Brothers Roofing operated in Lubbock?
The Andrus family roofing business started in Amarillo in 1981 and expanded to Lubbock in 1989, giving the Lubbock office more than 35 years of local history. BBB records show the Lubbock corporate entity has been accredited since 1994.
