Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0440 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

When Harvey hit, we were in Oklahoma for a funeral and were unsure of what to expect upon our return. When we returned home, we noticed a small leak in the guest room about three inches in diameter. Wes came out, checked our roof and sure enough there were some missing shingles and the leak was coming from the rubber from one of the vents. They came out and fixed it within the week! They did an amazing job! Such an amazing job we hired them to help us with new windows in our living room. The original builders of our home did not install the windows correctly to begin with and even had extra sheet rock hanging in our breakfast nook window. Will and his team fixed everything and installed the windows. They did an amazing job! I cannot rant enough about their work! We were looking at Window World because their windows are cheaper, but from the research I gathered they hire whoever for installation and it could be someone with no window installation experience. Yikes! That made me too nervous since this was a big job and not a simple fix if you mess it up. So after all the companies, contractors, and research we decided on Allstate Contracting and I’m so glad we did. They will not let you down! Will is a straight shooter with projects and cost, his employees are hard working, and his office manager is on top of her game! I 100% recommend them!

This company just almost killed us on the roadway. 1748 and 1448 intersection drove right through a red light. No emergency lights signals and we had to slam on our breaks to avoid a head on collision. This driver was seriously inebriated to be so thoughtless. Never would I suggest anyone use this business.

To date, I have referred Allstate to every person that has asked me for a contractor and below is why. After Harvey destroyed my home we got several estimates from various contractors. Allstate was not the lowest but the most detailed bid and Tommy took the time to go over the bid multiple times and explained it till we understood it. From the start Allstate stood out as being more patient and personal. Over the past 9 plus months we have worked with Allstate with Tommy’s the general contractor; we found him to be a caring, hardworking, and honest person. He returned phone calls and texts the same day and even responded to texts when he was on vacation or the weekend. Now that the job is wrapping up we actually miss Tommy being here every day. Not many people would ever say that about their contractor. Dont’t get me wrong, the process was not seamless but, every error/mistake was owned up to and fixed with no hassle or renegotiation. They fixed it on their dime and to our satsification. Despite adding some upgrades Allstate stayed within the bid! All the way around we could not be happier with the service and quality of work that we have received from Allstate Contracting. Our new home is now the best on the block and we have Tommy and Allstate Contracting to thank! At a minimum you need to get a bid from this company. They will not be the cheapest but you will get more than you pay for.

Tommy's crew did a fabulous job. He is diligent and on time. He returns your phone calls promptly. He checks the crew out to make sure everything is going smoothly. I know listening to this is hard to believe...Tommy stands out over all the MEDROCRITY in this world we live in. This really should be the NORM not a surprise when you find out someone does what they say they will do. His crew did a fabuous job on the roof and also the siding. Very timely and a great job well done. I would recommend him to do anything of this caliber. You will enjoy working with Tommy. Another very satisfied customer. Sheila Mylar

BAD BUSINESS!!! Non-professional and show up for appointments that aren't scheduled. Showed up to the house literally banging on the door and when he didn't get an answer he stayed outside the house until someone came out. His communication skills are very poor for he doesn't return phone calls and when he doesn't receive the expected amount from the insurance he just flat out drops you without any warning or any calls. So when he's first hired for business he places this hideous sign in your yard to promote his business and how we knew he had fired himself was that he went by the house unexpected again when nobody was home and removed the sign!
