About

TXO Restoration is a Fort Worth based commercial roofing and exterior restoration contractor at 3220 Collinsworth St, Fort Worth 76107, in Tarrant County. Its BBB profile records the business as started and incorporated in August 2016, and lists Jeff Sterrett and Calvin Jones as members. The company brands itself publicly as TXO Roof & Restoration and works mainly for commercial and multifamily property owners and the insurance industry rather than one off residential jobs. The roofing side covers new construction installation, replacement, repair and maintenance across laminated shingle, TPO, EPDM and PVC single ply, modified bitumen and built up asphalt, R panel and standing seam metal, and clay, concrete and slate tile. Beyond the roof, the company handles waterproofing and remediation, siding and stucco, masonry, framing and carpentry, decking, balconies and stairwells, drywall, painting, pressure washing, fencing and railings, and it responds to fire, water, flood and storm damage. It publishes a 24 hour emergency line alongside its main Fort Worth number. Two manufacturer credentials were confirmed at the manufacturers' own contractor directories. Owens Corning lists TXO Restoration LLC with an Owens Corning Roofing Preferred Contractor badge at the Collinsworth Street address, and Polyglass lists the company as a Preferred Contractor in its Club Premio SELECT tier at the same address and phone. On the BBB side the picture is mixed and worth stating plainly: the Fort Worth BBB profile shows an A+ rating but also states the business is not BBB accredited.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0457 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We had an excellent experience with XTO Restoration. They worked with our insurance company and made sure everything we needed was covered, which made the whole process much less stressful. Communication was great from start to finish, and we always knew what was going on. The team did an excellent job not only on the roof, but also on the solar screens, staining of the fence and deck, and the patio metal roof. The quality of work and attention to detail really stood out. We would definitely recommend XTO Restoration to anyone needing of service.

Eddie and the TXO team are great! I have used them to repair a parking garage stairwell roof that had a branch growing from it and also to paint exterior handrails, a perimeter iron fence, doors and cladding, garage stairwell walls and ceiling and parking lot light poles at two properties. Punch lists are minimal and communication is great. I highly recommend!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with TXO, especially Eddie and Mel, and they have been amazing to work with. Their communication, attention to detail, and quick response time have been outstanding. We had some unexpected pool repairs come up, and TXO handled everything smoothly. They added new tile, fixed the skimmer, redid the coping, and gave the pool a thorough cleaning. By the time they were done, the pool looked brand new, and we were able to open right on time! We’re also working on proposals for our 2026 projects, and they’ve been quick to respond and come out to the property whenever needed. Eddie and Mel truly go above and beyond, and TXO is a company you can count on. Highly recommend!

They do everything!! They tried to hit the ground running when the quote was approved by my management company, but unfortunately weather did not permit (Extremely High Winds). Once they started though they didn't stop! They built carports for us, ours were damaged in a large storm and they look fantastic. Eddie was very professional and kept me updated at all times. Can't wait for our next project with them!

TXO was fantastic to work with from start to finish. The team was professional, responsive, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free with constant communication. They provided a clear and very in-depth estimate, kept us informed every step of the way, and completed the job before expected. The quality of the work exceeded our expectations, and our roof looks great. Highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing services!

Frequently asked

Does Texas issue a state roofing licence?
No. There is no statewide roofing contractor licence in Texas, so no roofer here is state licensed for roofing. Verify insurance instead. Ask for current certificates of general liability and workers compensation sent from the insurer, and check the company's trade association standing and BBB record.
What is the difference between RCAT membership and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
RCAT membership means a company joined the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas and pays dues. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (RRL, CRL or CRRL) is earned separately through examination and continuing education. Membership does not confer the credential and the two should never be treated as the same thing.
Is TXO Restoration BBB accredited?
No. Its BBB profile with BBB Heart of Texas shows an A+ rating, but the same profile states the business is not BBB Accredited. Those are two different things, and this listing reports both rather than blurring them.
Which manufacturer credentials are actually verified?
Two. Owens Corning's own contractor directory shows TXO Restoration LLC with an Owens Corning Roofing Preferred Contractor badge at 3220 Collinsworth St, Fort Worth, and Polyglass's own contractor directory lists it as a Preferred Contractor in the Club Premio SELECT tier at the same address and phone. Both were read on the manufacturer's site, not taken from the contractor.
Does TXO work on flat and low slope commercial roofs?
Yes. Its published roof system list includes TPO, EPDM and PVC single ply, modified bitumen and built up asphalt, plus R panel and standing seam metal. That is a commercial and multifamily focused system list rather than a residential shingle only one.
Does the company do work beyond the roof?
Yes. It advertises itself as a full service exterior restoration contractor and lists asphalt and concrete, decking, balconies, landings and stairwells, drywall, fencing and railings, framing and carpentry, masonry, painting, pressure washing, remodelling, siding and stucco, and waterproofing and remediation.
Does TXO handle emergencies?
The company publishes a 24 hour emergency number on its own site alongside its main Fort Worth line, and lists fire, water, flood and storm damage mitigation among its services. Confirm response times and coverage for your property directly with the company.
How much of a problem is hail in Tarrant County?
North Texas is the heart of Texas hail country and Tarrant County sees damaging hail in most spring storm seasons. For steep slope roofs, Class 4 impact resistant shingles are rated against a steel ball impact test and usually earn an insurance premium discount. On low slope commercial roofs, ask about hail rated membranes, thicker mil single ply and cover boards, which matter more than the shingle rating.
Do I need a permit for a commercial reroof in Fort Worth?
Usually yes, and it is set locally. Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permit and inspection requirements are decided by each city and county. Fort Worth, Dallas and Cedar Hill each run their own process. Ask the contractor to confirm the requirement for your jurisdiction and to pull the permit under its own name.
What should a property owner ask before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Ask the insurer to send certificates of general liability and workers compensation directly. Get a written scope naming the membrane or shingle, thickness or weight, insulation, cover board, fastening pattern and flashing details. Ask who deals with your insurance carrier. Separate the manufacturer system warranty from the workmanship warranty and confirm whether a manufacturer inspection is part of the job. Avoid paying the balance before final inspection.
