Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

City/county registration Required in Dallas Check the registry ↗Contractor Certificate of Registration (Dallas City Code Chapter 52). Registration is required here to pull a roofing permit; we have not confirmed this company's own status, so check it before you sign.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0695 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Dennis Chavez and his crew at Texas Premier Roofing were excellent. Dennis was easy to talk to, professional, and obviously very knowledgeable about his work. He worked well with the insurance adjuster and made sure the full extent of the damage was understood by being on-site during the inspection and assessment process. His crew was efficient, respectful, and impressively tidy throughout the project. They clearly went the extra mile to prevent any additional damage during the work, and their cleanup afterward was outstanding. Getting a roof replaced can be stressful, but Dennis and his team made the entire process very smooth and straightforward. I would absolutely recommend Texas Premier Roofing to anyone needing roof repair or replacement.

Top-Notch Service from Start to Finish! We recently had our roof and copper gutters replaced by Texas Premier Roofing, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the very first consultation to the final cleanup, the entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. Ian, in particular, was a lifesaver. He guided us through every step, answered all our questions with patience, and made sure we felt confident in every decision. Having someone that knowledgeable and reassuring throughout such a big project made all the difference. The craftsmanship on the roof and copper gutters is outstanding. Not only does our home look stunning, but we also have peace of mind knowing that the work was done with precision and quality materials. The team was punctual, respectful of our property, and left everything spotless when they were done. If you’re looking for a roofing company that delivers excellent results with top-tier customer service, look no further than Texas Premier Roofing. Highly recommended!

This man was the best. He was here during the entire install and handled the insurance for me. He was honest and showed the entire process from front to start and knew exactly what our roof needed. Dalton Howell is a wonderful friend of ours and an excellent Project Manager. We will be using them again next time.

It was a very good experience for us with Dawson. We had our roof replaced recently and he explained everything throughout the process. He dealt with our insurance very well. Even though it was tough to deal with them at times. His team was very efficient in getting the job done. I would highly recommend his company to whoever needs it.

Great experience with Texas Premier Roofing. I would give ten stars if I could. Our roof was replaced exactly one month after a bad hail storm hit Abilene area on March 10th. We have done several improvements to our property inside the house and to the yard since we move in more than a decade ago. Therefore, we dealt with multiple contractors over time. This roofing company was a superior top-notch experience from the moment we met a project manager Andre Quintana to the work completion. He is a professional, motivated, always available, very well organized and approachable person. Truly exceptional asset to the company. He guided us through the entire insurance claim process and was present when adjustor arrived to assess damage. The crew to do the roof replacement arrived at 6 AM and clean up was finished at 8:30PM. They installed Class 4 shingles that more resilient to bad weather that regular class 3. Texas Premier Roofing operates in the entire state with the headquarter in Dallas but our crew were local roofers from Abilene. They were amazing. Worked more than 14 hours, did a great job with the roof, and left that property spotless. I highly recommend this company and Andre. Importantly, they have very reasonable pricing that was few thousand lower than their local competitors.

Frequently asked

Is this the same company as Texas Premier Contractors in Houston?
No. Texas Premier Roofing is a separate Dallas company at 6500 Greenville Ave, Suite 680, reached on 888.858.9010 at txpremierroofing.com. Texas Premier Contractors is a different Houston business with a different domain, address and phone. The names are close enough to confuse, so check the domain and phone before you call.
Does Texas licence roofing contractors at state level?
No. There is no state roofing licence in Texas. Trust is built from verified general liability and workers compensation insurance, RCAT status, city or county registration where it is required, and a genuine third party record such as a BBB file.
Is this company RCAT Member or RCAT Licensed?
It carries an RCAT directory listing. Note that RCAT membership and the separately earned RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential are not the same thing. Membership is dues based, while the licence is earned by a named principal through exams plus insurance and experience requirements. Ask which applies to the person quoting your job.
Are any manufacturer certifications verified for this company?
None were confirmed. The website shows a Trusted Roofing Associations section but does not name the associations or manufacturers behind it, and no GAF, Owens Corning or CertainTeed contractor directory profile was found. If a manufacturer backed warranty matters to you, ask for the certification number and check it in that manufacturer's own contractor directory.
Why do impact resistant shingles come up so often in Dallas?
North Texas sits in the part of the state that takes the heaviest hail losses, and Dallas County roofs are replaced on hail claims more than almost anything else. Class 4 impact rated shingles are tested against a steel ball drop and many Texas insurers discount premiums for them. This company advertises impact resistant materials in general, so ask for the exact product and its Class 4 rating in writing.
How long has the business been operating?
BBB records the business start date as 19 September 2023 and shows accreditation from April 2024, so it is a relatively young company. That is not a mark against it, but it does mean there is less of a track record to read than with a long established firm.
Who owns it?
The BBB profile lists Corey Peters and Ian Lyle as managing members, and the company describes itself as veteran owned.
Do I need a permit for a re-roof in Dallas?
Texas has no statewide building code covering this, so requirements are set locally. The City of Dallas requires a roofing permit for replacement work, and the neighbouring cities this company serves each set their own rules and inspection steps. Get it in writing that the contractor pulls the permit.
It lists eight offices. Does that change who shows up at my house?
Possibly. Every published office routes through the same central number and no branch phone numbers or hours are given, so ask which crew and which supervisor is assigned to your job, where they are based, and whether the labour is in house or subcontracted.
What should I get in writing before signing?
The shingle or membrane brand, product line and colour, underlayment and ventilation detail, the workmanship warranty length and who honours it, current certificates of insurance sent by the insurer or agent rather than the salesperson, permit responsibility, the payment schedule, and a clear statement that your deductible will be paid by you, since absorbing a customer's deductible is not legal in Texas.
