Insurance & credential verification
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.
Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0593 or the company name.
Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Project One Roofing saved my bedroom ceiling—and our sanity—from the dreaded "drip... drip... drip" symphony during every heavy rain. For years we'd get a mysterious leak right over our bed after a downpour. Other companies came out, stared dramatically at the spinning roof vent nearby, and confidently declared, "It's definitely the vent letting water in!" I eventually ripped the vent off myself after a storm (DIY hero moment) and found... absolutely zero evidence of water coming down the rafter. Can you visualize my eye roll? Enter Ted Long from Project One Roofing. The man has hawk-like vision and the patience of a saint. While the rest of us were chasing phantom vent leaks, Ted spotted a single nail head barely protruding through a shingle—one lonely nail from the original install four years ago that had worked its way up just enough to channel water straight into our ceiling like a tiny evil funnel. He fixed it quickly, cleanly, and without any unnecessary upsell drama, and even sent me video evidence of the offending protrusion. No more drips, no more bucket-on-the-bed, and no more long glares at the ceiling during thunderstorms while trying to slumber. If you want someone who actually finds the real problem instead of guessing at the obvious one, call Project One and ask for Ted. Highly recommend—these guys are the real deal.
I recently had my full roof replaced by Project One Roofing and the entire experience was exceptional. From start to finish, the communication was always prompt and professional. A special shoutout to my project manager Chelsey Dunn! She was absolutely fantastic to work with. She took the time to explain the process, answered all my questions patiently, and was on-site constantly to ensure everything went smoothly. Project did have a hurdle (my home is 65 years old, they encountered some problems with the decking. Large portions of the lumber sheathing were broken and large pieces were falling out, leaving them no surface to secure the shingles to. I was made aware and pictures were provided. Chelsey again explained and asked to proceed with an OSB overlay so that they would have a nailable surface.) I cannot tell you the comfort and trust I received from her. The crew arrived on time, worked meticulously, and left the yard spotless. I’m totally in awe of this entire experience. If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, highly skilled roofing team, I highly recommend Project One! Danna Riley
Dalton Munn and the crew at Project One Roofing replaced my roof after a recent hail storm, and I could not be happier with the results. From the very first inspection to the final cleanup, the entire process was seamless and stress-free. Dalton is a true professional. He took the time to explain all of my options, answer my questions, and work directly with my insurance company to make sure everything was covered. His communication was excellent throughout the project, keeping me updated every step of the way. The roofing crew arrived on time, worked incredibly hard, and completed the job faster than I expected. The new roof looks fantastic, and the quality of the workmanship is top-notch. They left my yard completely spotless, with no stray nails or debris left behind. If you need your roof repaired or replaced, I highly recommend Dalton Munn at Project One Roofing. They do incredible work and truly care about their customers!
Working with Project One Roofing and Casey Wells was so seamless. It took less than a week from the moment Casey went out to give me a quote, to a brand new roof on our property, which was excellent as the property is under contract to sale. Their crew did a great job and Casey was professional, had good communication, and was on top of everything involving the project. He also answered any questions I had. I would definitely recommend using Project One Roofing and reaching out to Casey Wells for your roofing needs.
The Project One guys and gals are always an absolute pleasure to work with. We had problems with our insurance company wanting to cover our roof replacement even though I had video of the hail hammering our roof. Chris Hughes stepped in and went to bat for us and put in those extra hours to help us get approved. Very professional team and would recommend to anyone.
