About

OakTree Management Group is a roofing and exterior storm restoration contractor. The "Management Group" name describes the structure rather than the trade: the company is a licensed roofing and restoration general contractor that leads with roof replacement, roof repair and hail and windstorm restoration, then handles the rest of the exterior and interior work a storm claim usually pulls in. BBB files it under Roofing Contractors, General Contractor, Roof Inspection, Storm Damage Repair and Hail Repair, and it appears on GAF's own contractor directory as a GAF Certified roofing contractor. The company was established in 2016 and runs three Texas offices. The listed Boerne address is 26254 I-10 West, Suite 110, Boerne, TX 78006, which sits in the Leon Springs and Van Raub stretch of the I-10 corridor on the Bexar County side of the Bexar and Kendall county line, so the county is Bexar even though the mailing city is Boerne. Additional offices are at 1908 Yaupon Trail, Suite 201, Cedar Park, and 8101 Boat Club Road, Suite 180, Fort Worth. Between them the company covers San Antonio, the Austin and Cedar Park corridor and the north Fort Worth area. Beyond roofing, OakTree lists seamless gutters, siding, windows and doors, garage doors, fencing, painting, solar panel installation and interior repairs. Its lead-in is a free 48 point storm damage inspection covering the roof, the rest of the exterior and interior damage, and the company says its inspection staff are Haag certified, which is a claim stated by the company rather than one we could confirm on a public Haag register. The same applies to its IKO RoofPro Select and National Roofing Contractors Association claims. What is independently verifiable is the GAF Certified listing on gaf.com and the BBB accreditation, which dates to 2017 and carries an A+ rating.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0691 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Oak Tree Management was fantastic! They work with your insurance company and really advocate for you! Plus, they load roofing materials on your house as opposed to your driveway! No worries about theft. Further, it speeds up the install process. Our entire roof replacement was completed in a little more than half a day. Wow! Highly recommend Oak Tree!

I had my roof replaced recently due to damage from a hailstorm last May. I was fortunate enough to be outside my house late last summer and met Will Bacon who was walking the streets of my neighborhood on behalf of Oak Tree Management Group. After talking to him for 30 minutes or so, I agreed to let him inspect my roof. I am glad I did! Unlike most “salesmen”, Will was very easy going yet a consummate professional and knowledgeable about his craft. He gave me some written information on the company and talked at length about roof replacement, materials, timing, and follow-up. He gave me his contact information and told me to read through the brochures and warranty information and to think about it and call him if I wanted to discuss it further. What a change from most of the experiences I have had with salespeople – most of whom are very aggressive, demanding, and pushy and want to “close the deal” before they walk away. Will was none of that. After reviewing the info he left, I contacted him a day or two later and agreed to let OTMG replace my roof. My initial impressions of Will did not let me down. Throughout the entire process he was constantly keeping me up to date on scheduling and, once commencement of the job was imminent, the progress of the job itself. He took care of filing supplemental claims with my insurance company prior to the start of work to ensure that I was getting all that I was entitled to. Furthermore, he was onsite during the day of the repair until the job was finished. I could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend anyone considering a roof replacement to give Will a call and talk to him. If Will’s attitude and level of customer service is representative of all employees of the Company, there is no reason why anyone should ever have any trepidations about who to call if they ever need roof repair or replacement. I can say with complete confidence that I do not believe you will be disappointed.

Nobody really likes to get their roof done. Working with Will from OakTree made it easy and seamless. His knowledge, professionalism, and humor sealed the deal with us. He communicates with you from start to finish. No issue is too small for him. The work is quality. I would recommend this company and Will to neighbors and friends.

I have used OakTree Management Group to replace my roof on multiple occasions after pretty destructive hail storms. They always guide the customer through the entire process with care and patience. Best part is that they know the insurance game & the exact language to use to get your necessary repairs fully paid and sometimes even additional supplemental coverage to help pay for unforeseen damages. I also recommended them to my parents who have rental properties and they have always helped them come out on top. If you need a reputable and trustworthy roofing company, I highly recommend them. You won’t be disappointed because they never give up helping you fight the insurance companies. Manny, Tim and the whole team is absolutely top notch!

Had my roof repaired due to the March hail storm last year. Mason was amazing! He walked me through the process from start to finish. Any paperwork I needed to file with my HOA he provided. My insurance sent an adjuster to the survey the roof and provided a repair amount. Mason filed a supplemental claim it was almost double to amount the adjuster filed. The work was completed in 2 days, with an additional half day for the gutters and drains. Bottom line, Oaktree is a company I would recommend and I would definitely ask to work with Mason!

Frequently asked

Is OakTree Management Group actually a roofing contractor, or a property management firm?
It is a roofing contractor. The "Management Group" name refers to the company structure, not the trade. Its own site leads with roof replacement, roof repair and storm restoration, the BBB files it under Roofing Contractors and Storm Damage Repair, and GAF lists it on the manufacturer's contractor directory as a GAF Certified roofer.
Texas does not have a state roofing licence, so what does "licensed" mean here?
There is no state roofing licence in Texas and no state agency that issues one. When a Texas roofer says licensed, ask what they mean. It usually points to a city or county registration, a general contractor registration, or the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas Licensed Roofing Contractor credential, which is a private industry credential rather than a government one. Always ask for the certificate of insurance separately.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
They are two different things and they are not interchangeable. RCAT Member simply means the company pays dues to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through testing and continuing education. OakTree Management Group holds the Licensed status in the RCAT directory.
Which county is the Boerne office really in?
Bexar. The address at 26254 I-10 West sits in the Leon Springs and Van Raub stretch of the I-10 corridor, which is on the Bexar County side of the Bexar and Kendall line even though the mailing address reads Boerne 78006. Most of the city of Boerne itself is in Kendall County, so the mailing city alone is not a reliable guide to jurisdiction.
Why does the county matter when hiring a roofer in this area?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement. Permitting, inspection and any contractor registration requirement are set city by city and county by county. A roof in unincorporated Bexar County, inside San Antonio city limits, in Fair Oaks Ranch and in the city of Boerne can each follow different permitting rules, so confirm who pulls the permit before work starts.
Are hail-rated Class 4 shingles worth it around San Antonio and Central Texas?
Often yes. This part of Texas sits at the southern end of the state's hail corridor and repeat hail claims are common. Impact resistant Class 4 shingles are tested to resist cracking from hail strikes, and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for them. Ask your carrier what the discount is before you choose the shingle, because it can materially change the payback period.
How does a hail insurance claim usually work on a Texas roof?
You report the storm date, the carrier sends an adjuster, and the adjuster writes a scope and an estimate. A roofer can meet the adjuster on site and point out damage that is easy to miss, such as bruised mats, damaged vents, dented gutters and torn flashing. The contractor cannot negotiate the claim for you unless they are a licensed public adjuster, and in Texas a roofing contractor is barred from acting as your public adjuster on the same job.
What should a storm damage roof inspection actually cover?
More than the shingles. A good inspection covers the field of the roof, flashing, vents, chimneys and skylights, plus the exterior items hail damages first such as gutters, downspouts, window screens, siding, garage doors and fencing, and any interior staining. OakTree's inspection is described as a 48 point walkthrough covering roof, exterior and interior.
Is this a coastal windstorm job?
No. Bexar County and the wider San Antonio and Austin service area are inland and fall outside the coastal windstorm designation, so WPI-8 windstorm certification does not apply. The relevant risk here is hail and straight line wind, not Gulf Coast windstorm.
What should a homeowner confirm before signing anything with any Texas roofer?
Get a current certificate of insurance for general liability and workers compensation sent directly from the insurer or agent, not a copy from the contractor. Get the scope, materials and colours in writing with a firm price rather than an insurance-proceeds placeholder. Confirm who pulls the permit. Ask whether the workmanship warranty is transferable and who honours it. And check the manufacturer certification on the manufacturer's own directory, since GAF, Owens Corning and CertainTeed all publish searchable contractor lists.
