About

USA Home Roofing & Exteriors is a San Antonio roofing and exteriors company operating from 10221 Desert Sands St, Suite 204 in Bexar County. Identity is confirmed on two independent records rather than on the company's own claims. Its RCAT member record carries that San Antonio address, the (210) 935-8444 phone number and the usahome-roof.com domain, and its Better Business Bureau profile lists the same street address and the same phone. The domain therefore belongs to this San Antonio company and not to a similarly named firm elsewhere in the country. BBB carries the business under the broader name USA Home & Commercial, records a business start date of 2 March 2005 and incorporation on 2 March 2017, rates it A+ and lists it as BBB Accredited since 12 September 2017. John Mora is named as managing member and Nancy Vaca as member. BBB also shows a second San Antonio address at 18756 Stone Oak Pkwy, Suite 200, so both listed locations sit inside the same city rather than representing separate city branches. The work spans residential and commercial roof inspection, repair and replacement, plus built up roofing on low slope commercial decks, siding, window replacement and exterior painting. The company holds a contractor profile in GAF's own San Antonio directory. The GAF Master Elite tier and the associated Golden Pledge warranty that the company advertises on its own website are recorded here as stated by the company, because GAF's directory page blocks automated access and the tier could not be read directly from it.

Covers the whole exterior, adding siding, window replacement and painting to residential and commercial roofing.

Named principals on the BBB profile, John Mora as managing member and Nancy Vaca as member, rather than an anonymous listing.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Great work done and very punctual. Sent emails keeping us informed of the process, when materials would be delivered and what time crew would get here to start working on roof. Crew leader did a great job keeping me informed throughout the day and let me know when the job was finished. They did both my house roof and my shed in on day. I really liked that they show you how they. completely strip the roof down to the plywood.

My experience with USA Home Roofing was nothing but excellent from the initial contact to the end. John Mora and his team; Kevin & his office personnel, Nancy Vaca, have been a joy to work with. John's schedule was quite busy, but he and Kevin came out and inspected my 30 year old roof and a back apartment. There was a lot of sun damage and weathering with missing shingles and raccoon damage where they made a hole for nesting. The roof has different slopes and pitches with a lot of square footage, so it required a few days of work. They finished and started on the back roof. It was all completed successfully and looks amazing. They ran a magnet to scan for nails around my property and my adjoining neighbors also. They cleaned up and left it very clean. I appreciate having found them on Google reviews and on the BBB. I highly recommend John and his team to anyone searching for reputable roofer who stands for integrity and professionalism and stands by his word. Thank you, John, for giving me peace of mind.

I couldn’t be happier with my experience using USA Home Roofing & Exteriors to replace my roof after hail damage. John Mora was my point of contact throughout the entire process, and he was extremely easy to work with—professional, responsive, and knowledgeable from start to finish. Communication was clear the entire time, which made the process smooth and stress-free. I had about 30 different roofing companies come by the house after the hail storm, but I ultimately chose USA Home Roofing & Exteriors largely because of how John presented himself. He was informative, straightforward, and never pushy, which really set him apart from the others. During the process, I also asked about additional upgrades outside of the original scope of work, and everything was handled without any issues. The workmanship was top-notch, the crew was respectful of my property, and everything was cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done. I’m very happy with the results and would absolutely recommend USA Home Roofing & Exteriors to anyone needing a new roof. THANK YOU JOHN!

They arrived early and worked diligently until the job was completed, all in one day. Cleaned up after themselves. Looks great and I’m very pleased with the work that was done.

Frequently asked

Is this the San Antonio company, and is usahome-roof.com really its website?
Yes to both. The RCAT member record lists the company at 10221 Desert Sands St, Suite 204 in San Antonio, with phone (210) 935-8444 and the website usahome-roof.com. The Better Business Bureau profile for San Antonio lists the identical street address and phone. Two independent records agreeing on address, phone and domain confirms this is the Bexar County company.
Why does the BBB profile show a different business name?
BBB heads the profile USA Home & Commercial, which is the broader entity name, while the roofing brand trading publicly is USA Home Roofing & Exteriors. The address, phone and named principals are the same on both, so it is one business using a wider corporate name and a roofing specific consumer brand.
Does Texas licence roofing contractors?
No. Texas issues no state roofing licence, so nobody in Texas is a state licensed roofer. The meaningful checks are current general liability and workers compensation insurance, the company's RCAT standing, its BBB record, and whether it pulls City of San Antonio permits. This company appears in the RCAT directory as a Member.
What is the difference between RCAT Member and RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
Member means the company pays dues to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is separately earned through testing and experience requirements and is a higher bar. This company is listed as a Member. The two are not interchangeable and no contractor should present dues paid membership as a licence.
Is the GAF Master Elite claim verified?
Partly. The company does hold a contractor profile in GAF's own San Antonio directory, which is verifiable. The Master Elite tier itself and the Golden Pledge warranty it advertises are recorded here as stated by the company, because the GAF directory page could not be read directly. Ask the company for its GAF certification number and the warranty document in writing before you sign.
Does hail matter in San Antonio?
Yes. Bexar County sits on the southern edge of the Texas hail corridor and takes damaging hail and straight line wind, most often between March and June. San Antonio saw one of the costliest hailstorms in Texas history in April 2016. Hail and wind claims are a normal part of local roofing work.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth it in Bexar County?
Often yes. Class 4 shingles pass the UL 2218 steel ball impact test and take moderate hail better than standard three tab or architectural shingles. Many Texas carriers give a premium credit for a Class 4 roof. Ask your own insurer what discount applies to your policy, since the credit varies and it changes whether the upgrade pays for itself.
Does a San Antonio roof need WPI-8 windstorm certification?
No. WPI-8 is the coastal windstorm inspection tied to the fourteen first tier Gulf Coast counties served by the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association. Bexar County is inland and is not in that programme, so WPI-8 does not apply to a San Antonio reroof.
Who issues the permit for my reroof?
There is no statewide Texas building code administration, so permitting is city by city. San Antonio jobs go through the City of San Antonio Development Services Department, and addresses in unincorporated areas go through Bexar County. Confirm in writing that the contractor pulls the permit in its own name and schedules the inspection.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract in San Antonio?
Ask for certificates of insurance sent directly from the insurer, the exact shingle line or membrane system and underlayment written into the scope, ventilation and flashing details, separate workmanship and manufacturer warranty documents, a milestone based payment schedule rather than a large deposit, and the permit and cleanup plan. Texas law bars a contractor from waiving or absorbing your insurance deductible, so treat any such offer as a red flag.
