Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0370 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Finally!!! This is not a fly-by-night , wham bam thank you ma’am company. The team sent to my house to repair a previous contractors FUBAR roof installation from 2019 was amazing. I was amazed at the detail in workmanship the master roofer used to seal around the chimney. We are planning all our remodels now with FUSION taking point.

If you are looking for a new roof, then look no further. Chris is a honest guy, who will treat you right. I needed a new roof and he communicated every step of the way. They use quality materials and labor to ensure the job is done right the first time. They did an amazing job with the clean up to the point you can’t tell they were here with the exception of the amazing looking roof. I strongly recommend Chris with Fusion Restoration Services for your next roof or repair. You won’t be disappointed.

I highly recommend Fusion Restoration Services and Chris Coker in particular if you are needing a new roof. Chris explained the process and stayed involved throughout the job. He also reviewed for me the materials used and best practices on roof replacement. The crew arrived as scheduled, completed the replacement efficiently, and left a clean site afterwards.

Frequently asked

Is Fusion Restoration Services licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas has no state roofing license, so no Texas roofer can be state licensed. Fusion Restoration Services holds the RCAT licensed roofing contractor credential, a voluntary program of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas that involves testing and insurance verification. Always ask for current insurance certificates as well.
What is the difference between RCAT membership and the RCAT licensed credential?
Membership means a company has joined the trade association and pays dues. The licensed roofing contractor credential is earned separately through RCAT's exam and insurance verification. Fusion Restoration Services carries the licensed status.
How long has Fusion Restoration Services been in business?
Its BBB profile records the business as started in April 2010, and it has been BBB accredited since May 2011 with an A+ rating. The company itself cites 20 years of roofing experience on its team.
What services does the company offer besides roofing?
Alongside complete roof systems and roof repairs for residential and commercial properties, it installs windows and takes on home remodeling projects.
Does Fusion Restoration Services help with insurance claims?
Yes, insurance claim help is central to how the company presents itself; it aims to make the claim process as smooth and easy as possible. As with any storm claim, you file with your insurer, the insurer approves the scope, and you should get the contractor's scope and the adjuster's summary to match before work starts.
What areas does the company serve?
It is based in Rosenberg with a Richmond mailing address and serves residential and commercial customers in the greater Houston area, plus jobs in the greater Dallas area.
Is hail or hurricane wind the bigger roofing risk in Fort Bend County?
Both matter. Fort Bend County sees severe thunderstorms with hail as well as tropical-system winds coming inland from the Gulf. Impact-resistant Class 4 shingles help with hail, and correct nailing patterns and sealed underlayment details help with wind, so ask your roofer to address both.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it near Houston?
Often, yes. Class 4 shingles resist hail damage better, and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for impact-rated roofs. Ask your insurance agent what discount applies and weigh it against the upgrade cost.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Rosenberg or Richmond?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting is decided city by city. Rosenberg and Richmond each have their own building departments and rules, and unincorporated Fort Bend County differs again. Confirm before work starts and get in writing who pulls any required permit.
What should I confirm before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Request certificates of liability and workers compensation insurance sent directly from the carrier, a written scope listing exact materials and warranty terms, local references, and a clear payment schedule. Be wary of any contractor who offers to cover your deductible; that practice is illegal in Texas.
