About

Final Touch Roofing & Remodeling is a family owned roofing and exterior remodeling company started in 1993 by Paul Kropf, who still runs it with his family. The Rosenberg office at 2518 1st St serves Fort Bend County and the greater Houston area, and the company also operates a second office in College Station for the Brazos Valley. BBB records show the corporation has been in business since March 1993 and accredited with the Houston BBB since 1995, holding an A+ rating. The company is a GAF Master Elite contractor, a factory certification GAF's own directory confirms and that GAF says is held by only about 2 percent of North American roofers. Work covers composition shingle, metal, tile, and flat TPO roofing plus commercial roofs, along with remodeling services such as James Hardie siding, windows, patio covers, and skylights. The company states it carries 2 million dollars in liability coverage and workers compensation. Final Touch also runs a community give-back program, working with Habitat for Humanity, Helping a Hero, Meals on Wheels, the Fort Bend Fair and Rodeo, and other local organizations.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0192 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Katy Memorial Services cleaned a customer’s tile roof. We observed several broken tiles and notified the customer. I referred the customer to Final Touch Roofing as they have done great work for me in the past. The customer told me that Final Touch Roofing came out quickly, offered a fair price, & had the tiles fixed within a few days. That is great service and I will continue to call Final Touch Roofing because of this and previous experiences.

This company is great. Me and my family have used them for over 20 years. They back up their word with their work. This is the only company that I use for roofs and interior work

Final Touch did an exceptional job replacing our roof. Ted thoroughly explained the shingle and roof ventilation options, the warranty, and answered all of our questions. His team arrived on schedule and finished the project the same day. Their post-project cleanup was equally thorough. We've recommended Ted and Final Touch to several friends, and they've all been thrilled with the quality of their work. After more than a year, our roof still looks as good as the day it was installed!

This is our 2nd roof replacement with Final Touch Roofing, 13 years ago and again in February 2023 for a total roof lost from hail. In fact, we have had Ted come out several times after the first replacement to check the roof. He has done this many times at no charge. This is the kind of company who cares about their customers as evident of the visits to our home when we thought we needed a roof inspection. Tim is very professional and his roofing crew are incredible. We love the fact that they nail by hand and do not use nail guns. They have a very large crew and finished roofing our home in one day. The clean up was incredible too. I have a lot of shrubbery i was concerned about but all my plants were fine! They returned the following day for visual look for any needed repairs. Ted came out a few days later and made his inspection. His roofing supervisor will be coming out within the next few days to do a final inspection. My husband retired from a job as building superintendent overseeing a very large facility. He has always sought businesses who are exemplary in the services they provide. We highly recommend Ted and Final Touch Roofing and have referred them to many of our friends and neighbors.

Frequently asked

Is Final Touch Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas has no state roofing license, so no roofer in Texas is state-licensed. Trust signals instead are voluntary credentials and insurance. Final Touch is listed with the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) and holds an A+ BBB rating; the company states it carries 2 million dollars in liability insurance plus workers compensation. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before work begins.
What does GAF Master Elite mean?
Master Elite is GAF's highest factory certification for residential roofers, and GAF says only about 2 percent of North American contractors hold it. It requires proper insurance, a proven reputation, and ongoing training, and it lets the contractor offer GAF's strongest system warranties. Final Touch's Master Elite status appears on GAF's own contractor directory.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
RCAT membership means a company belongs to the state trade association. The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is a separate, voluntary license earned by passing an exam and meeting insurance requirements. Final Touch is listed as an RCAT Member. Since Texas has no government license, ask any roofer which of these applies to them.
What areas does the Rosenberg office serve?
The Rosenberg office at 2518 1st St is the company's home base for Fort Bend County and the greater Houston area. A separate College Station office covers the Brazos Valley. Each office has its own phone line, so call the Rosenberg number for Fort Bend and Houston projects.
What roofing materials does Final Touch install?
The company installs GAF composition shingle systems, metal roofing including standing seam and stone-coated steel, concrete and clay tile, slate, and flat roofing using TPO single-ply or GAF Liberty modified bitumen for smaller flat areas. It also handles commercial roofs.
Does Final Touch do more than roofing?
Yes. The remodeling side offers James Hardie siding, replacement windows, patio covers, and skylights, which lets homeowners bundle exterior work with a roof project under one contractor.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Rosenberg?
Texas has no statewide building code for permitting, so requirements are set city by city. The City of Rosenberg and Fort Bend County have their own rules for reroofing permits and inspections. A local contractor should know the current requirements; confirm with the city before work starts.
Does hail matter for roofs in Fort Bend County?
Hail and wind storms hit the Houston region regularly, and hail claims are a major part of Texas roofing. If you are reroofing, ask about Class 4 impact-resistant shingles; some Texas insurers offer premium discounts for them. Also have your roofer document any storm damage before you file a claim.
How long has Final Touch Roofing been in business?
BBB records show the business started in March 1993 and has been BBB accredited since March 1995. It remains family owned, with founder Paul Kropf and family members active in the company.
What should I ask a Texas roofer before signing a contract?
Ask for a certificate of insurance naming you as certificate holder, the physical office address, manufacturer certifications you can verify online, a written scope with materials and warranty terms, and references from recent local jobs. Be wary of storm chasers with no local office; Final Touch has maintained the same Rosenberg location and phone for years, which is the kind of stability to look for.
