About

Joe Ochoa Roofs & Even More is a Stafford based roofing and exterior contractor working across the Houston metro. The company was founded by Joe Ochoa Sr. in 1971 and is now run by the next generation of the family, with its office and sheet metal shop at 12939 Folkcrest Way in Stafford. The legal entity is Joe Ochoa Roofing, Inc., trading as Joe Ochoa Roofs & Even More, and it uses the domain ochoaroofing.com. The listing domain ochoaroofingtexas.com redirects there. GAF lists the company in its own residential contractor directory, and GAF's published President's Club award list for 2026 names Joe Ochoa Roofs & Even More of Stafford, Texas among its one star winners. President's Club is an award GAF makes only to contractors already holding Master Elite status, which is what the company claims on its own site. The Better Business Bureau shows the firm as a BBB Accredited Business since 1996 with an A+ rating. The work is broader than shingles. The company installs composition shingle, metal, slate, wood shake and shingle, clay and Spanish tile, concrete tile, TPO, PVC, EPDM and modified bitumen systems, runs a full sheet metal fabrication shop, and also handles siding and Hardie plank, windows, seamless gutters and leaf guards, radiant barrier, attic ventilation, skylights, chimney work and interior and exterior painting. It markets GAF Timberline Solar energy shingles as a solar roofing option. Stafford sits inland in Fort Bend County, so the local storm story is wind, hail and hurricane driven rain rather than coastal surge, and the company runs dedicated wind, hail and hurricane damage services alongside a roof insurance claims resource.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I want to ensure those of you looking for an excellent and trustworthy roofing company you’ll make the right choice with Ochoa Roofing & Beyond LLC. Ochoa Roofing installed my first roof replacement in 2002 and have maintained it until I decided to replace it again this year. Adolfo Jr has been looking after my roof since 2016 and was my obvious choice to manage the roof replacement. The “Beyond” in their name represents exactly what they stand for: Adolfo and Ochoa Roofing goes over and beyond to install high quality materials that include much more than the GAF shingles. You will feel safe under your new roof. Thank you Ochoa Roofing & Beyond and Adolfo Jr and his wonderful team for my beautiful new roof!

I truly love my new roof. Adolph is very professional and detailed. He draws you in by educating and showing the material that is been used and aftercare. Appointment time was honor so you are not sitting at home waiting. Clean up is 5 stars. I could go on and on. I will let my referrals speak. Need an excellent roof call Ocho Roofing.

Adolfo Jr is very professional. He takes his time to explain all the details and answers all my questions before, during and after the job. The price he quoted has the best value compared to my other quotes. The job was completed ahead of schedule. The crew did an excellent job and cleaned up thoroughly after they are done. I would highly recommend Ochoa Roofing and be sure to ask for Adolfo JR.

My experience with Ochoa Roofing was exceptional. Aldolfo was very professional and informative, he stayed in communication with me throughout the entire process. The crew arrived promptly as promised and the work was completed as agreed. Everything was left clean, neat, and free of debris as if they were never there. They went above and beyond to repair a small area of siding that was damaged and painted it to match. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone needing roofing service.

I had an excellent experience with Ochoa Roofing & Beyond for a roof and gutters replacement. From the very beginning of the quoting process, Adolfo answered all our questions and gave us all the options without pressuring us for a quick sell or upsells. The installation went as planned, the crew was always on time and cleaned up well. The crew also followed up a few days later for the walk around and the touch ups. Communication was really easy throughout the whole process. I highly recommend them.

Frequently asked

Does Joe Ochoa Roofs & Even More hold a Texas state roofing licence?
No, because Texas does not issue a state roofing licence to anyone. There is no such licence to hold. Judge a Texas roofer instead on current general liability and workers compensation certificates sent directly by the insurer, manufacturer certification, trade association standing such as RCAT, and any local registration the job requires.
What does the RCAT Member status on this listing mean?
RCAT is the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. A Member is a company that joins and pays dues. RCAT separately awards an earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) to individuals who complete its programme. The two are different, and Member status on its own does not mean someone at the company holds the credential.
Is the GAF Master Elite claim real?
GAF's own residential contractor directory carries a listing for Joe Ochoa Roofs & Even More of Stafford, Texas, and GAF's published President's Club award list for 2026 names the company among its one star winners. GAF only makes the President's Club award to contractors already at Master Elite level, so the claim is supported by GAF's own material rather than only by the company.
Why does GAF Master Elite matter to a homeowner?
Master Elite is the level at which GAF allows a contractor to register its strongest system warranties, which cover workmanship as well as materials. If that is the reason you are hiring the company, ask on paper which specific warranty is being registered on your roof, who registers it, and what the manufacturer requires you to install for it to be valid.
Does the company handle hail and windstorm insurance claims?
Yes, it runs dedicated wind damage, hail damage and hurricane damage services plus a roof insurance claims resource. Before signing, get in writing who deals with the adjuster, who pays the deductible (Texas law does not allow a contractor to absorb it), and what happens if the carrier approves less than the contract price.
What roofing systems can the company actually install?
Its published material list covers composition and composite shingle, GAF Timberline Solar energy shingles, metal, slate, wood shake and wood shingle, clay and Spanish tile, asphalt and concrete tile, and the flat and low slope systems TPO, PVC, EPDM and modified bitumen. It also runs its own sheet metal fabrication shop for custom flashing and metal detail.
Does it do commercial and flat roofs?
Yes. Commercial roofing is a listed service, and the flat and low slope membrane systems it names (TPO, PVC, EPDM and modified bitumen) are the ones normally used on commercial and low slope residential roofs. Elastomeric roof coating is offered as a maintenance option on existing low slope roofs.
Which areas does it cover?
The published service area is Stafford plus Houston, Sugar Land, Missouri City, Richmond, Rosenberg, Katy, Pearland, Friendswood, Alvin, Clear Lake, Bellaire, West University, River Oaks, Memorial, Heights and The Woodlands. That spans Fort Bend, Harris, Brazoria and Montgomery counties, so confirm your address is inside the coverage the office will actually schedule.
Who issues the roofing permit around Stafford?
Texas has no statewide residential building code enforcement, so permitting is decided city by city. A roof in Stafford goes through the City of Stafford, while jobs in Houston, Sugar Land or Missouri City go through those cities and unincorporated addresses follow Fort Bend or Harris county rules. Confirm in writing that the contractor pulls the permit.
What should a homeowner ask before signing a Houston area roofing contract?
Ask for insurance certificates emailed straight from the agent, a written scope naming shingle brand, line, colour, underlayment, flashing, decking replacement rate and ventilation, the manufacturer warranty and the workmanship warranty stated separately, a total price with no blank spaces, and confirmation of your right to cancel an insurance funded contract if the carrier denies the claim.
