About
Empire Roofing is a large commercial and industrial roofing contractor headquartered at 4801 Esco Drive in south Fort Worth. Ronnie and Sandra McGlothlin founded the company in 1982 with a crew of eight, and it grew into one of the biggest commercial roofers in Texas, reporting more than 500 employees and around 90 million dollars in annual revenue before its sale. Since July 2021 it has operated as Empire Roofing, a Tecta America Company, part of the national Tecta America commercial roofing group, with branches across Texas and in several other states. The Fort Worth office is the corporate headquarters and serves the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, including Dallas and Arlington. Crews install and repair the full range of low-slope and metal commercial systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, built-up asphalt and gravel, standing seam metal), backed by an in-house metal shop, a waterproofing division, preventative maintenance programs and 24/7 emergency leak response. Homeowners should note that Empire Roofing is not a residential shingle company. Its work is for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings, and its client list includes national names such as American Airlines, CBRE and Kraft Foods.

Insurance & credential verification
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.
Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0035 or the company name.
Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Caleb was wonderful. He communicated every step of the way. He provided progress photos and explained each step to job. The work was done efficiently and cost effectively.
Hired them to do roof repairs. Had roof leaks show up approximately two weeks after they made repairs. When I called them to stand behind their work, they wanted to charge me a service call for coming out to look at it.
Tom and team were outstanding. They worked with us from beginning to end. Evaluated condition of roof and then worked directly with insurance to get like for like coverage, versus the low ball initial offer from insurance. Coordinated with us throughout the job and follow up on punchlist items was impeccable. Highly recommend and my neighbors are commenting on how great the new roof looks
From quoting to completion the team at Empire were 5 stars all the way. They were on time, fast, exceptional at installing and my most favorite trait was how clean they were! We left on vacation and came back to a complete roof with a clean yard and drive way. If you need a roof you should should only trust the team at Empire Roofing and you will have the job done right!
We had a leak on the roof above the porch. They found where the leak was coming from. Today we had a lot of rain, what we didn't have was a leak. Thank you empire roofing, Enrique Trevino and Bobby Flores.
