About

Veritas Roofing, LLC is a residential and commercial roofing contractor headquartered at 621 South Freeway, Suite 210, in Fort Worth, Tarrant County. BBB shows the business started on 24 January 2018 and accredited since April 2018 with an A+ rating, naming John M Koepp as chief executive. The company's own team page describes founder Johnny Koepp as a Fort Worth native and US Army veteran, and lists roughly ten named staff across field operations, production, communications, office administration and commercial roofing. Owens Corning's own contractor directory lists Veritas Roofing, LLC at the same 621 South Fwy Suite 210 address and the (817) 455-0117 number at Platinum Preferred level, the top tier of the Owens Corning contractor program. The company additionally states Carlisle Authorized Applicator status and a limited lifetime workmanship warranty; those are stated by the company and were not confirmed at an independent source. Its site also describes itself as licensed by RCAT, while the RCAT directory record for the company shows a membership dating to 2019, so this listing keeps the RCAT status as supplied and flags the difference. The Fort Worth address is a genuine staffed headquarters rather than a mail drop. It carries the same suite number on the company's own site, on its BBB profile as the accredited principal address, and on Owens Corning's independent directory, and the leadership page names resident Fort Worth staff. Work spans steep slope residential (asphalt, synthetic, stone coated steel, slate, clay tile and standing seam metal) and low slope commercial (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen and coatings), with storm damage restoration, free emergency tarping, gutter replacement, HOA support and insurance claim support alongside. Tarrant County sits in the North Texas hail corridor, where hail and wind driven damage drive most roof replacement.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I highly recommend Veritas Roofing. From the moment Mike McCary arrived, I knew I’d found the right company. He was professional, personable, and thorough—walking me through the inspection, answering every question, and explaining the full roofing process and shingle options. Veritas replaced the roof on our home and workshop, also completing new siding and trim on the workshop beforehand. Mike kept us informed throughout and was on-site the entire installation day. They even handled communication with my insurance company. After dealing with other companies’ high‑pressure sales and inflated quotes, Veritas truly lived up to its name. “Veritas” means truth, and that’s exactly what you get—honesty, commitment, and quality workmanship

For three years State Farm denied our hail claim on our roof. We tried a couple of different roofers that went through the process of trying to get the claim approved, and got no where. This past March, we met with Veritas and began the process of fighting with State Farm again. Right from the start, we could tell Veritas was different from the other companies we’d talked to. They were highly detailed, professional, and explained everything clearly why State Farm was liable for the claim. Once the claim was finally approved, the construction process could not have been better. I’ve worked in the construction industry for decades and every project has its hiccups, but Veritas made this a very smooth process. Austin and Ed are true professionals who work with amazing crews. The roof and gutters look awesome. Thank you Austin, Ed, and the Veritas team.

Cole and Gavin were amazing, the work was as well. They were responsive with every inquiry, polite, and completely on top of everything that was coordinated (roof, garage door replacement and gutters). The reason I went with this company was the initial inspection was a 45 minute-ish appt, with no upselling. The prior company was here for 3 hours pressuring me to pick shingle colors and to start a claim while they waited. Would absolutely recommend Veritas to others.

Veritas Roofing and Clay Jenkins, were outstanding from start to finish. Communication was consistent and responsive—even when it was tough to coordinate. They clearly know the roofing and insurance world inside and out, and they gave practical, honest advice that helped us navigate a process that often felt stacked against homeowners. Their inspectors were experienced and thorough, and they also have strong working relationships with top-tier, licensed independent roof appraisers—something that really mattered in our case. Our insurer initially denied the claim, and Veritas stayed in the fight. They guided us through the time-consuming, technical Texas Roofing appraisal process and helped get it resolved. They also kept their commitments. Timelines were tight at times, but they hit the schedule and got the work done as promised. Clay was personable and a man of his word. If he said something would happen, it did. If something wasn’t guaranteed, he said so plainly. In the end, aside from our deductible, we paid nothing out of pocket and got a full roof/deck replacement that looks great and is a major quality upgrade over what we had before. I’d recommend Veritas Roofing to anyone facing a roof replacement—especially if insurance is involved.

We had a great experience from start to finish with this roofing company. From the initial estimate to the final cleanup, the entire process was smooth, well‑organized, and stress‑free. The team was professional, punctual, and easy to communicate with, which made a big difference during a major home project. The crew worked efficiently and clearly took pride in their craftsmanship. Our new roof looks fantastic, and we appreciate the attention to detail throughout the installation. They kept the work area clean, respected our property, and made sure everything was thoroughly cleaned up when the job was done.

Frequently asked

Is Veritas Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no Texas roofer holds one. The checks that exist are private or local: RCAT status, general liability and workers compensation insurance, BBB accreditation, manufacturer certification, and city registration where required. Veritas Roofing is a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating and is carried in this directory as an RCAT Member.
The company's site says it is licensed by RCAT. What does that mean?
RCAT, the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, runs two distinct things. Ordinary membership means paid dues and agreement to the association's code of ethics. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through testing and documented experience. The RCAT directory record for Veritas Roofing shows a membership dating to 2019, which is why this listing records RCAT Member. Neither status is a government licence, and the two should not be treated as interchangeable.
What is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred contractor?
Platinum Preferred is the highest tier of the Owens Corning contractor network. Owens Corning says Platinum Preferred contractors carry current training, meet its installation and customer service standards, and can offer the program's strongest warranty options on qualifying Owens Corning systems. It is a manufacturer program, not a government credential. This listing confirmed the status on Owens Corning's own contractor directory profile registered to the Fort Worth address.
Is the Fort Worth office a real office or just a mailing address?
It reads as a genuine staffed headquarters. The 621 South Freeway Suite 210 address appears on the company's own site, on its BBB profile as the accredited principal address since 2018, and independently on Owens Corning's contractor directory, and the company's team page names roughly ten resident staff including its Fort Worth based founder. Those are the kinds of independent registrations a mail drop or coworking desk does not usually accumulate.
Where else does the company operate?
Beyond Fort Worth it lists offices or market coverage in College Station, Round Rock, Houston and Oklahoma City, with additional named coverage across Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Lewisville, Cedar Park, Austin and a set of Oklahoma suburbs. Each of those locations should be judged on its own merits. This record covers the Fort Worth headquarters only.
How much does hail matter in Tarrant County?
A great deal. Fort Worth and the surrounding metroplex sit in the North Texas hail corridor, one of the most hail affected areas in the country, and hail plus wind driven storm damage drive the bulk of residential roof replacement here. A post storm inspection is a normal part of owning a roof in Tarrant County.
Are impact resistant (Class 4) shingles worth it in Fort Worth?
Class 4 is the top rating in the UL 2218 steel ball impact test and is the class most worth discussing in this market. Many Texas insurers offer a premium credit for a Class 4 roof, though the discount varies by carrier and is never automatic. The company also lists stone coated steel and synthetic shingle options it describes as hail and impact resistant. Confirm the specific product and any discount with your own insurer, and get the product name and rating into the contract.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Fort Worth?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting is set city by city. A reroof inside Fort Worth city limits goes through the City of Fort Worth development services process, and surrounding Tarrant County cities each run their own. Ask the contractor in writing who pulls any permit and who schedules any inspection.
What low slope commercial systems does the company install?
Its commercial list covers TPO, EPDM, PVC and modified bitumen installations, metal roofing, roof coatings and commercial roof repair. For a commercial or HOA building, ask which specific membrane system is being proposed, what the manufacturer warranty covers on that system, and how it differs from the separate workmanship warranty on labor.
What should I check before signing a contract with any Texas roofer?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly by the insurance agent, covering general liability and workers compensation. Get a written scope separating tear off, decking replacement pricing, underlayment, flashing and ventilation. Keep the manufacturer material warranty and the workmanship warranty distinct in writing, confirm who pulls the permit, and read carefully before signing anything that assigns your insurance claim benefits to the contractor.
