About
Xtreme Innovations Roofing & Construction is a Houston contractor registered at 7676 Hillmont St, Suite 105, in the northwest of the city. It works both sides of the exterior and interior trades: roofing for homes and businesses, plus kitchen and bathroom remodelling, siding, decks and porches, new additions, painting, drywall, carpentry and general handyman work. The site's own framing is that of a one-stop shop rather than a roofing specialist, so homeowners hiring for a roof should ask what share of the crew's week is actually spent on roofs.
The roofing credentials are real and checkable. The RCAT record for this company shows a Residential Roofing licence held by Dennis Cardona, which is the earned RCAT credential rather than plain dues-paying membership. The company is also BBB Accredited with an A+ rating, accredited since 27 May 2021. Its site carries the RCAT seal and a bilingual service note, and the business advertises free estimates and a satisfaction guarantee.
Coverage claims need reading carefully. The core, and the part supported by the Houston address and the Houston Area Roofing Contractors Association listing, is Houston and roughly thirty named surrounding communities including Katy, Sugar Land, Cypress, Spring, The Woodlands, Tomball, Humble, Pearland, Missouri City and Friendswood. The site also advertises Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Lubbock, Oklahoma and Colorado. We found no separate offices, local phone numbers or independent listings for those markets, so they are best read as stated ambitions rather than staffed branches. Harris County is inland, so the weather risks that matter here are hail, thunderstorm gusts and wind-driven rain.

Insurance & credential verification
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0650 or the company name.
Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Mr. Cardona from the start was professional and took the time to explain from start to finish the process and materials that they were going to use and with the speed and efficiency of the crew they had my house and garage done before lunch.
They are true craftsmen in their trade, I will always recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

We feel very lucky that they happened to be reroofing my neighbor’s home. We got to see first hand the impressive quality and workmanship before reaching out to them. I could really tell the difference in work , efficiency and professionalism between what I saw next door and all the other neighborhood roofs getting replaced. They tear down to the decking and replace the felt! Many roofers don’t do this and it’s important for many reasons I won’t go into.
There was no hesitation calling them to inspect my roof. I didn’t even look here for reviews.
We got a very fair estimate, work was done in one day and they left the place completely cleaned. The workers were very conscientious of the landscaping and the final product is extremely impressive.
Thank you very much Javier and Simon for your professionalism and making this an easy experience. And a HUGE THANK YOU!! to all the awesome workers doing the heavy lifting and staying until the job was perfect.

I wanted to leave a glowing review for Michael. He helped me navigate an insurance claim to get a brand-new roof and went above and beyond throughout the process. He ensured everything was done the right way, replacing not just the roof but also addressing the decking and any rotted areas. On top of that, he went out of his way to repair my fascia, which also needed attention. I couldn’t be happier with his work and would highly recommend him to anyone!

Frequently asked
Is Xtreme Innovations licensed by the State of Texas for roofing?
No Texas roofer is, because Texas does not issue a state roofing contractor licence. What is checkable instead is RCAT standing, insurance, and city or county registration where required. This company holds a Residential Roofing credential through RCAT attached to a named individual, which is a voluntary industry credential rather than a government licence, and that distinction is worth keeping straight.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
Membership is a matter of joining and paying dues. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is separate and earned through testing and documented experience, issued as RRL for residential, CRL for commercial, or CRRL for both. This directory records Xtreme Innovations as holding the earned credential, specifically a Residential Roofing designation. Companies that hold only membership should not be described as licensed.
Where is the company actually located?
The RCAT record gives 7676 Hillmont St, Suite 105, Houston, Texas 77040, in northwest Houston. BBB lists a mailing address in Hempstead, Texas and a second Houston address at 4600 SH-6 North, Suite 311, Houston 77084. All three are in the Houston area. The company's site does not publish a street address of its own, so ask which office your job will be run from.
Does Xtreme Innovations really serve Dallas, Austin, Lubbock and Oklahoma?
The site says so, but the evidence supports Houston as the operating base. We found no separate offices, local phone numbers or independent business listings in those other markets, and the RCAT, BBB and HARCA records all point to Houston. Treat the wider list as a stated ambition rather than confirmed branch coverage, and confirm directly if you are outside greater Houston.
What weather actually drives roof failures in Harris County?
Hail, straight-line thunderstorm gusts, and long soaking rain events. Houston roofs tend to fail at the details rather than in the field of the shingle, so deck attachment, underlayment quality, valley and flashing work, and proper attic ventilation matter more here than any single premium shingle upgrade. Ask any bidder to describe the underlayment and flashing spec, not just the shingle brand.
Are impact-resistant shingles worth it in Houston?
They can be. Houston takes hail less often than Dallas or Central Texas, but severe storms do hit and Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, the top rating under the UL 2218 impact test, also resist wind-blown debris. Many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for a Class 4 roof. Ask your carrier what the discount is before paying the upgrade, because in the Houston market the payback is more marginal than in Hail Alley.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Houston?
Texas has no statewide residential reroofing code, so it is set locally. The City of Houston generally does not require a permit for a straightforward like-for-like residential reroof, but does require one where structural work, decking replacement beyond a threshold, or a change of roofing system is involved, and unincorporated Harris County and the surrounding municipalities each set their own rules. Get it in writing who is pulling any required permit.
The company also does remodelling. Does that affect roofing quality?
Not necessarily, but it is a fair question to ask. A general contractor covering roofing, siding, kitchens, baths, decks and additions may be genuinely broad or may subcontract. Ask whether the roofing crew is in-house or subcontracted, how many roofs they complete in a typical month, and who supervises the tear-off and dry-in. The breadth is a real advantage when storm damage runs from the roof through to interior finishes, since one contractor can carry the whole scope.
How does a Houston storm damage insurance claim usually run?
You report the date of loss, an adjuster inspects, and the carrier issues a scope and estimate. Most Texas policies pay actual cash value first and release the recoverable depreciation once work is complete and invoiced. Under Texas law a roofing contractor may not act as a public insurance adjuster on a claim they are also contracted to repair, so be cautious with anyone offering to handle both sides.
What should I ask before signing?
Ask for the certificate of insurance sent directly from the insurer or agent, showing general liability and workers' compensation. Ask which RCAT credential holder oversees the job. Get workmanship and manufacturer warranties written as separate line items with separate durations. Pin down the shingle line, colour and impact rating in the contract. Confirm whether the crew is in-house. Do not sign a contract that is contingent on your insurer approving a particular figure.
