About

The Roofing Pro, LLC is a North Texas exterior contractor whose work spans roof replacement and repair, gutters and leaf guards, siding, fascia and soffit, interior and exterior painting, windows and outdoor structures, plus paintless dent repair for hail damaged vehicles. Its BBB file describes residential roofing replacement and repair handled both through insurance claims and without insurance involvement, and puts the business start at 26 July 2020. Identity is worth being careful about here, because several unrelated North Texas companies use a similar name. This listing is the company at theroofingpro.com on (469) 961-1821, RCAT record 1289, with the Commercial and Residential roofing credential. It is not DFW Roofing Pro of McKinney, Dallas Tx Roofing Pro, Denton Roofing Pro or Colleyville Roofing Pro, all of which are separate businesses on separate domains. On address, the record is a split one. The company's own website says it is home based in Colleyville and serves the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and its BBB, Facebook and Nextdoor pages all sit at 1005 Glade Rd, Suite 125, Colleyville. The RCAT registration behind this record is at 1121 Dallas Dr, Suite 2, Denton 76205. That Denton address is a genuine multi tenant class B office building with individually leased suites, not a mailbox store or a coworking brand, so it is a real leasable office. What we could not confirm is that anyone works there: it does not appear on the company's own site, there is no separate Denton phone line (RCAT carries the same Colleyville number), and no Denton BBB profile, Google listing or named local staff surfaced. Homeowners in Denton should read this as a registered Denton office of a Colleyville based DFW contractor, and ask the company directly if a local crew base matters to them.

Highlights

Carries RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential for both commercial and residential work, which is not the same as plain RCAT membership.
Handles roof, gutters, siding, paint and paintless dent repair under one contractor, so a single hail event can be dealt with across the roof, the exterior and the car in the driveway.
Works both insurance claim and non claim residential replacements, per its BBB profile.
Holds an A+ BBB rating, although the profile is not BBB accredited.
Trading since 2020 according to BBB records, with a published street address, phone and email rather than a lead form alone.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0563 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Hey Dallas/ Fort Worth, this may come as a surprise, but there is actually a roofing company here that truly cares! Diego with the Roofing Pro is amazing! He happily answered all of our questions and reassured us every step of the way, and he did all of it with a smile on his face without every coming across as “sales-ey” I was also shocked to find out that Texas doesn’t require roofers to be licensed, but Diego cares so much about his customers and his reputation that he chooses to hold a roofing license in Texas. I hope I’ll never have to replace my roof again, but if I do the only company I’ll be calling will be the Roofing Pro. Thank you Diego!

Diego at The Roofing Pro came out because I was sure I needed a new roof. He took the time to actually inspect it and told me straight up I didn't need one yet. That kind of honesty is rare in this industry. When the day comes that I actually do need a new roof, Diego is the first call I'm making. Highly recommend

Diego was professional, reliable, and great to work with. He communicated clearly throughout the project, delivered quality workmanship, and made the entire process smooth and stress free. I highly recommend him for any roofing needs.

Daniel Rodriguez was the project manager for the replacement of my roof which was damaged during a hail storm. He did an outstanding job all throughout the project. I was kept well informed through email, text messaging and phone calls. I asked plenty of questions and he was always very responsive with accurate answers in a timely manner. He was able to walk me through the insurance process and explain all of the details in the estimates. Daniel uses a very professional yet relaxed and friendly approach to the roofing business. When it came time to execute the project Colin Burns and Daniel made sure all of the materials were correct and delivered on time. The project was completed in just over one day. The roof and new gutters look awesome and the cleanup was immaculate. From my experience the customer service and quality was impeccable and they take pride in it. No complaints. I highly recommend The Roofing Pro for your next roofing project.

Diego is really great to work with. He is extremely responsible and easy to communicate with. His crews are timely and Diego set expectations throughout the process so there we always had an understanding of what was going on. Very helpful with insurance claim. Highly recommend, good people to give your business to. They do projects both large and small.

Frequently asked

Where is The Roofing Pro actually based?
Its own website says it is home based in Colleyville and serves the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and its BBB, Facebook and Nextdoor profiles all give 1005 Glade Rd, Suite 125, Colleyville. The RCAT registration behind this Denton listing is at 1121 Dallas Dr, Suite 2, Denton 76205. Both carry the same phone number, (469) 961-1821.
Is the Denton office a staffed branch?
We could not confirm that it is. 1121 Dallas Dr is a real multi tenant office building in Denton with individually leased suites, so the address itself is legitimate and is not a mailbox store or a coworking brand. But the company does not publish it on its own website, there is no separate Denton phone line, and we found no Denton BBB profile, Google listing or named local staff. Treat it as a registered Denton office rather than a confirmed staffed branch, and ask the company directly if that matters to you.
Several North Texas companies use a name like this. How do I know I have the right one?
Match the domain, the phone and the RCAT record together rather than the name alone. This listing is theroofingpro.com, (469) 961-1821, RCAT record 1289. DFW Roofing Pro (McKinney), Dallas Tx Roofing Pro, Denton Roofing Pro and Colleyville Roofing Pro are separate businesses on separate domains.
Is this company licensed by the State of Texas?
No, and neither is any other Texas roofer. Texas issues no state roofing licence. The credential that does exist is RCAT's, and RCAT lists this company as a Licensed Roofing Contractor for commercial and residential work.
What is the difference between RCAT Member and RCAT Licensed?
A plain RCAT Member has paid dues and signed up to the association's code of ethics. The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is earned separately, with testing and experience requirements behind it. The two are not equivalent and a company should not present membership as a licence.
Should I still ask for proof of insurance?
Yes, every time, from any Texas roofer. Because there is no state licence backstop, the insurance certificate is the main protection you have. Ask for a current general liability certificate emailed to you by the insurance agent rather than handed over by the salesperson, and ask whether the crews are covered by workers compensation.
Denton County gets hard hail. Are impact resistant shingles worth it?
Denton sits inside the North Texas hail corridor, where a roof can be hit several times in its life. Class 4 impact rated shingles (tested to UL 2218) cost more up front but most Texas carriers apply a homeowners premium discount for them. Ask your own carrier what credit it actually gives before you decide, because the size of that discount is what determines payback.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof around Denton?
Texas has no statewide building code that settles this, so permitting and inspection are set city by city and county by county. Check with the building inspections department for the jurisdiction your property sits in, and make sure the contractor pulls whatever permit is required rather than starting without one.
Why does a roofer offer paintless dent repair?
Because the same hail storm that pits a roof usually dents the cars parked under it. The Roofing Pro lists paintless dent removal alongside roofing, gutters, leaf guards, siding and painting, which lets one storm be dealt with across several parts of a property in one go.
What should I ask before signing?
Ask to see the RCAT record and a current insurance certificate from the agent. Ask who will physically be on your roof and whether they are employees or subcontractors. Get the workmanship warranty in writing, separate from any manufacturer warranty. Ask what happens if the insurer pays less than the estimate. And note that Texas law does not permit a contractor to absorb or waive your insurance deductible, so treat any such offer as a warning sign.
