About

Techline Roofing & Restoration is a New Braunfels based roofing contractor working on both commercial and residential buildings across the Texas Hill Country and Central Texas. Its office sits at 1535 FM 2673 in the Canyon Lake area of Comal County, and the company answers on 830-330-1800. The Better Business Bureau records the business as incorporated in January 2012 and lists it under the alternate name Techline Roofing & Solar, so the same operation appears publicly under two closely related brands. The commercial side of the work is the part the company describes in most detail. It installs Duro-Last single ply PVC systems, TPO and PVC flat roofs, standing seam and architectural metal, and concrete tile, and it names offices, multi-family housing, retail centers, municipal buildings, schools, hospitals, military bases, churches, warehouses and data centers among the building types it works on. Residential replacement, repair and insurance restoration run alongside that, together with solar and water mitigation. Owens Corning's own contractor directory lists Techline Roofing as a Platinum Preferred Contractor, which is the manufacturer's top residential tier and the level required to offer its strongest asphalt system warranty. The BBB shows the company accredited since September 2018 with an A plus rating. Techline states on its own site that it is a preferred contractor for more than a dozen national insurance carriers and a certified Duro-Last installer, and those two claims are stated by the company rather than confirmed in an independent directory. New Braunfels sits at the southern end of the Texas hail belt, so spring hail and wind driven rain are the practical concerns for roofs here.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0488 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Today I had my second experience with Techline Roofing. Scheduling was quick and easy. Both times they arrived when expected and fixed our issues quickly and efficiently. The staff is knowledgeable, professional. Fortunately for us, neither issue was major. However, I would not hesitate to hire Techline for any future roof work we may need.

From my first contact with Easton to the crew that did the job, I couldn’t be more pleased with Techline Roofing. When I ran into an issue with my insurance company, Omar and Easton jumped right in and took care of it. The installation crew was awesome. Worked non stop and cleaned up everything. I highly recommend Techline and talk with Easton. He’s very knowledgeable and polite young man.

Nikki and Omar are always quick to respond to my real estate issues, or even when there is a large storm. Watched them grow from a 1 girl band back 9 or so years ago. Wouldn’t trust my roof to anyone else. They have excelled and won the “how to win life long customers in a biz…” book.

Frequently asked

Where is Techline Roofing & Restoration actually based?
Its main office is at 1535 FM 2673, New Braunfels, Texas 78133, in the Canyon Lake part of Comal County. The company's own contact page also lists an Austin office at 5920 W William Cannon Drive Building 3 and a Wichita Falls office at 807 8th Street, each with a separate local phone number.
Why does the business name not match the domain techlinerfg.com?
The domain is confirmed as theirs. The company's structured site data gives the URL as techlinerfg.com, the BBB profile for the business lists that same website, and a second domain, techlineroofs.com, redirects straight to it. The RFG in the domain is simply shorthand for roofing.
Is Techline the same company as Techline Roofing & Solar?
Yes. The BBB profile is filed under Techline Roofing & Solar with Techline Roofing and Restoration, LLC recorded as an alternate business name, at the same address and the same phone number. The website also brands itself around roofing, solar and restoration.
Does Texas issue a state roofing licence?
No. Texas has no state roofing licence, so nobody in the trade is state licensed as a roofer. What you can check instead is general liability and workers compensation insurance, standing with the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, and whether the city or county your property sits in requires the contractor to register or pull a permit.
What does RCAT Licensed mean, and how is it different from RCAT Member?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas runs two separate things. Membership means the company pays dues and belongs to the association. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through testing, experience and insurance requirements. Techline is recorded at the Licensed level, which is the higher of the two.
Is hail a real concern in New Braunfels and the Hill Country?
Yes. Comal County and the wider Central Texas corridor sit at the southern end of the state's hail belt and take damaging spring storms most years. Ask any bidder about impact resistant Class 4 shingles, which are tested to resist hail impact and which many Texas carriers discount premiums for.
Are impact resistant shingles worth the extra cost around New Braunfels?
Often yes. Class 4 impact resistant shingles are tested against simulated hail strikes and many Texas insurers apply a premium discount for them, which can offset part of the upfront cost over time. Ask your carrier what discount it offers before choosing, because the size of it varies a lot between insurers.
Who handles the building permit and inspection?
Texas has no single statewide building code for this, so requirements are set city by city and county by county. A New Braunfels city address, an unincorporated Comal County address and a Canyon Lake address can each have different rules. Confirm in writing who is pulling the permit before work starts.
What roofing systems does Techline install on commercial buildings?
The company describes Duro-Last single ply PVC as its main commercial system, alongside TPO and PVC flat roofs, standing seam and architectural metal, and concrete tile. It lists offices, multi-family housing, retail centres, municipal buildings, schools, hospitals, military bases, churches, warehouses and data centres among the property types it works on.
What should I ask for before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Ask for a current certificate of insurance sent directly from the insurer rather than a photocopy, a written scope listing the exact shingle or membrane and the underlayment, separate workmanship and manufacturer warranty terms in writing, who pulls the permit, and confirmation of the manufacturer credential. Owens Corning Platinum Preferred and similar tiers can be checked free on the manufacturer's own contractor locator.
