About

Silverado Roofing Group is a commercial and residential roofing contractor working out of Collin County, with its main office at 6401 Eldorado Pkwy, Suite 121 in McKinney and a second address at 11625 Custer Rd, Suite 110 in Frisco. BBB records show the business started on 9 September 2014, and the company's own About page names Wendy Odell as founder and COO, describing her as one of the few women to have founded a roofing contracting firm in the market. The work skews commercial and multi-family. The site carries dedicated pages for TPO, modified bitumen, torch-down, gravel (built-up), flat and metal systems alongside shingle roofing, multi-family and residential roofing, roof inspections, restoration services and remodeling. BBB additionally lists gutters and fire and water damage restoration. Coverage is described as the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and the wider state of Texas, with commercial-only work in several neighbouring states. The company appears in GAF's own commercial roofing contractor directory. Its website displays GAF and Owens Corning brand logos, but no specific manufacturer programme tier was confirmed at a manufacturer directory. BBB gives the business an A+ rating and records that it is not a BBB Accredited Business. Silverado states on its site that it is licensed in Texas and Louisiana. Texas issues no state roofing licence, so in Texas that language refers to local registration rather than a state credential.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Insurance Required by RCAT Licensed credential (liability and workers’ comp cover are conditions of this credential; ask for the current certificate)

City/county registration Required in Frisco Check the registry ↗Contractor Registration (Building Inspections Division; City Code Article II - Contractor Registration). Registration is required here to pull a roofing permit; we have not confirmed this company's own status, so check it before you sign.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0311 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Silverado Roofing is a high quality, trustful roof company in Dallas, TX. I'm living in California, picking a good roof company is challenging. Introduced by my insurance agent, I got to know several roof companies including Silverado. Talking with these companies, I feel that Brad of Silverado Roofing is a trustful person, with patience and great integrity. That's why I choose Silverado. In fact, they did a wonderful job, I'm 100% satisfied. Brad showed me pictures and videos while doing the roof replacement job. Silverado is one of the best roofing company, if not the best. I highly recommend Brad and Silverado Roof to all who has any roof needs. You won't be regretted.

Just had an overall excellent experience with Brad and the team from Silverado Roofing. They worked with me every step of the way after the hail storm in 2025. Their contractor crews did very high quality work to fix our roof, fence, gutters, trim, repainting, etc. And they help us work with our insurance company to make sure that we were properly reimbursed for all of the covered claim damage. Two thumbs up, guys! Thank you!

Brad did a great job, was friendly and helpful. Mike & Wendy went above and beyond. We’re getting a lot of compliments on the work. Very pleased with our results!

We hired Silverado Roofing to repair a chimney leak. WE, the homeowner, provided them with photos of the leaking chimney. The company did not do any of the research themselves. Silverado worked on the wrong chimney. The leaking chimney we hired them to repair has not been repaired and is still leaking. Silverado wants us to pay them for doing the wrong job! Silverado refuses to admit and correct their mistake and do the job we hired them to do. One photo shows the chimney we hired them to fix. The photo we provided them. The 2nd photo shows they worked on the WRONG chimney.

Brad and Silverado Roofing has done a great job on our roof twice due to the awful North Texas hail. He worked flawlessly with our insurance company making the whole process painless. Their team did perfect work and left everything better than they found it. They cleaned everything up and we found no leftover nails. Which is common with roofers. I couldn’t be happier. Give Brad a call and he will take great care of you!

Frequently asked

Is Silverado Roofing Group licensed by the State of Texas?
No roofer is, because Texas does not issue a state roofing licence. The company's website states it is licensed in Texas and Louisiana. In Texas that wording refers to city or county registration rather than a state credential. Ask for the certificates of general liability and workers compensation insurance and confirm them directly with the insurer.
What does the RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor status mean?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas runs a voluntary programme separate from plain dues-paying membership. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned through testing and insurance requirements. It is an association credential, not a government licence, and it is not the same thing as simply being an RCAT member.
Where is the company actually based?
The head office is 6401 Eldorado Pkwy, Suite 121, McKinney, TX 75070, and BBB also records 11625 Custer Rd, Suite 110, Frisco, TX 75035. Both sit in Collin County.
What types of roof does it work on?
Its own site carries pages for TPO, modified bitumen, torch-down, gravel (built-up), flat and metal roofing plus shingle roofing, and it separates commercial, residential and multi-family work. Roof inspections, restoration and remodeling are also listed.
Does hail matter for a roof in Frisco or McKinney?
Yes. Collin County sits in the North Texas hail belt, where spring storms regularly drop hail large enough to bruise asphalt shingles and dent metal panels and vents. Damage is often not visible from the ground, so a post-storm inspection is worth booking even if the roof looks fine.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it here?
For most North Texas homes they are worth pricing. Class 4 is the top rating in the UL 2218 steel-ball impact test, and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for a qualifying roof. Ask your insurer what discount applies before you choose, since the saving varies by carrier.
Does the company hold manufacturer certifications?
It is listed in GAF's own commercial roofing contractor directory, and its website displays GAF and Owens Corning brand logos. No specific programme tier, such as a Master Elite or Platinum Preferred designation, was confirmed at a manufacturer's own directory, so treat any tier claim as unverified until the manufacturer's contractor locator shows it.
Is it a BBB Accredited Business?
No. BBB gives Silverado Roofing Group an A+ rating but records that it is not a BBB Accredited Business. Accreditation is a paid programme and its absence is not by itself a mark against a contractor, but the two things are often confused.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Frisco or McKinney?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting is set city by city. Both Frisco and McKinney require a permit for roof replacement in most cases, and the contractor should pull it. Confirm with the city building department before work starts and make sure the permit is in the contractor's name.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Ask for current insurance certificates, a written scope naming the exact shingle or membrane and the underlayment, the workmanship warranty length and who honours it, whether the crew is in-house or subcontracted, and the payment schedule. Never pay in full up front, and be wary of anyone asking you to sign a contingency agreement on the doorstep after a storm.
