Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0587 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

cannot say enough good things about Integrity First Roofing & Construction. They recently installed new gutters on our tiny home and we are extremely happy with the results. Corey Maxwell, along with his team were courteous, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with throughout the process. They helped us choose the best option and most perfect matching color for our home, and the finished product looks really cool and beautiful! Their professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. If you're looking for a trustworthy roofing and gutter company, I highly recommend them!

We had a great experience with Integrity First Roofing & Construction from start to finish. Their pricing was very reasonable for a retail roofing job, and they communicated with us every step of the way, so we always knew what to expect. When our insurance company initially denied our claim, they helped guide us through the public adjuster/appraisal process, making what could have been a stressful situation much easier to navigate. The crew arrived on time, completed the work as scheduled, and was professional and courteous throughout the project. They also did an excellent job cleaning up when they were finished, leaving our property spotless. We’re very happy with the quality of the work and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable roofing contractor.

I was a little apprehensive at the start of the process, mainly because roofing projects can be a big investment and you never really know what to expect. However, Integrity Roofing did a great job from start to finish. Their team was professional, communicative, and took the time to answer all of my questions so I felt comfortable with the work being done. The crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and kept everything clean throughout the project. Most importantly, the final result looks great and the quality of the work speaks for itself. Overall, I’m very pleased with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend Integrity Roofing to anyone needing roofing work done.  Special shout out to Corey Maxwell, he really made the process smooth and kept me up to date!  Thank you!

The ownership, the service team are extremely professional, the installation team was very efficient and did an amazing job. They protected our pool, bushes, AC units and did a very thorough clean up. They aligned our vent pipes and painted them to match. The gutters were replaced and the leaf guards were reinstalled. Getting a new roof is a process and this team worked with the insurance and help answer all questions. Our 2 neighbors also got their roofs replaced and they are all completely satisfied as we are also. I can personally recomend these people to replace your roof and you will be satisfied with the, work, product and service.

Nick Holifield with Integrity First is incredible. He walked us through the whole roofing process with care and professionalism. We truly felt cared about and listened to. He communicated well with us, which is appreciated so we were always kept up to date. His crew was fast, professional, and they carefully cleaned the yard for nails and debris afterwards. Our roof and accessories are beautifully done!!!! I cannot express enough thanks for a job more than well done!!! It was more than we asked for!

Frequently asked

Is this company licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not license roofing contractors at state level, so no Texas roofer holds a state roofing licence. The company's website displays a number labelled License No. 1092697, but the issuing body is not stated on the site, so do not read it as a state roofing licence. The checks that do mean something are current general liability and workers compensation insurance, RCAT standing, BBB record and city registration.
What does the RCAT status Licensed mean?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas runs two separate things. Plain membership means a company pays dues. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through RCAT's own requirements. Integrity First is recorded at the Licensed level, which is the earned RCAT credential. It is an industry association credential, not a government licence.
Which manufacturer certifications are actually verified?
Owens Corning lists the company as a Preferred Contractor on its own contractor directory at the 5566 Main St Suite 208 Frisco address, so that one is independently confirmed. The company also advertises GAF Master Elite, GAF President's Club and CertainTeed ShingleMaster status. Those were not found in GAF's or CertainTeed's own contractor directories during research, so ask to see the certificates if an enhanced manufacturer warranty is part of your decision.
Is the Frisco office in Collin County or Denton County?
Frisco straddles the county line, so both are possible for a Frisco address. This company's office at 5566 Main St, Suite 208 is on a Collin County parcel, recorded with the Collin Central Appraisal District. Denton County parcels in Frisco sit further west. The distinction matters for property tax records and for county level permit and appraisal lookups, not for the roofing work itself.
Does Frisco require a permit for a roof replacement?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so it is set city by city. Frisco runs its own building inspections division and a re-roof normally requires a permit and a final inspection. Ask in writing that the contractor pulls the permit in its own name and books the inspection, and keep the closed permit for when you sell.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth it in Frisco?
Frisco is in the heart of the North Texas hail corridor, so usually yes. Class 4 is the highest rating in the UL 2218 steel ball impact test and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for a documented Class 4 roof. Confirm the discount with your own carrier before you commit, and keep the product data sheet and the invoice naming the exact shingle.
What is the difference between the 50 year warranty and a workmanship warranty?
The company advertises a 50 year manufacturer warranty, which comes from the shingle manufacturer and covers the product, usually with conditions about the full system being installed by a certified contractor. A workmanship warranty is separate and covers installation errors by the roofer. Ask for both in writing, ask what registration step is needed to activate the manufacturer warranty, and ask whether either transfers on sale.
How does a North Texas hail claim usually run?
You report the damage, the carrier's adjuster inspects, and the first payment is normally actual cash value with recoverable depreciation released after the work is complete and invoiced. Texas law prevents a roofing contractor from acting as a public insurance adjuster on a claim it is also bidding, so a contractor may point out damage at the adjuster meeting but cannot negotiate the claim on your behalf.
Should I accept an offer to have my deductible covered?
No. Texas Insurance Code Chapter 707 makes it unlawful for a contractor to pay, waive, rebate or absorb an insurance deductible, and it exposes the homeowner as well. A straight estimate shows the deductible as your own out of pocket cost. Free roof and no deductible pitches are a signal to walk away.
What should I ask before signing a contract?
Ask for insurance certificates sent by the agent, a written scope naming shingle brand, line, colour, underlayment, ventilation, flashing and decking allowance, the workmanship warranty term, who pulls the permit, whether crews are employees or subcontractors, and how change orders are priced. Check that any advertised manufacturer certification is current, and avoid large deposits before materials are delivered.
