Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

City/county registration Not checked for CarrolltonTexas has no state roofing licence, and city rules differ: some require contractor registration, some run a voluntary registry, some neither. Ask this company and your local permit office.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #02-0456 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

It was a real pleasure doing business with Reclaim Roofing. They were very professional with the full process from the very start. They had to work hard with our insurance company and took care of business, and had great results. They communicated with us, and showed the progress every day. They kept us informed of every detail that needed to be addressed, and what to expect. I would highly recommend them for anyone needing there services. Great job gentlemen.

Adam Pagano· 6 years ago

We had major damage after a hail storm and Reclaim was out the next day to patch the roof from leaks until they were able to replace it. They were fast and efficient, replacing our roof quickly while working with us and our HOA and insurance company. Because of our good experience we used them again when it was time to sell our home and get some of the repairs done, everything from masonry, minor cosmetic work and rebuilding a lintel. Great service and would definitely recommend them to a friend.

During our project Reclaim was great at communicating the progress as well as issues. They worked hard to not impact our operations during the entire project. I would recommend Reclaim to anyone needing a new roof or repairs.

What a great company and what a great roof we now have. Adam went above and beyond to help us stay on schedule and on budget. He was always available any time we needed him and even helped with choosing our roof color. His crew was fast and polite and we really enjoyed our experience. If you’re looking to add a new roof or replace an old roof, ReClaim Construction and Adam has our vote.

Frequently asked

Does Reclaim Construction do residential roofs?
No. Everything the company publishes describes commercial and large loss work: healthcare, multifamily, education, industrial and retail properties. If you need a shingle roof on a single family home, look for a residential contractor instead.
Is this company licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence. There is no state roofing licence to hold or to check. Trust in Texas rests on proof of insurance, voluntary industry credentials such as RCAT status, and whatever registration the individual city or county requires.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas has two separate things. Plain membership means the company pays dues. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through testing and continuing education. They are not the same and should never be treated as interchangeable.
How do I verify a commercial roofer's insurance?
Ask for a certificate of insurance issued directly by the agent, not a copy forwarded by the contractor. Confirm general liability limits and workers compensation coverage, check the policy dates cover your build window, and ask to be named as certificate holder.
What roof systems are common on Texas commercial buildings?
Low slope commercial roofs in Texas are usually TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, built up or spray polyurethane foam, sometimes with a coating restoration instead of a tear off. Metal is common on warehouses and light industrial buildings.
Does hail damage commercial roofs the same way it damages shingles?
The damage looks different. On single ply membranes hail leaves punctures, fractured seams and bruising over the insulation, and on metal it leaves dents that can break the coating. A trained inspector uses test squares and core cuts rather than a walk around glance.
What does a HAAG certified inspector add to a hail claim?
HAAG certification is a recognised training programme for storm damage assessment. Reports written to that standard, with test square photos and measurements, tend to survive scrutiny from insurance adjusters better than an unsupported opinion.
Who pulls the permit for a commercial reroof in Texas?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting and inspection are handled city by city and county by county. Carrollton, Lewisville and Dallas all have their own rules. Confirm in writing that the contractor pulls the permit in its own name.
Should I get a roof assessment before a storm rather than after?
Yes. A dated pre storm condition report with photographs gives you a baseline, which makes it much easier to show an adjuster what changed. Reclaim advertises free commercial roof assessments and ongoing maintenance programmes.
What should I ask before signing a commercial roofing contract in Texas?
Ask for the certificate of insurance, the manufacturer certification level for the exact system being installed (Duro-Last Platinum and Carlisle certified are examples), the workmanship warranty term in writing, who pulls the permit, the payment schedule tied to milestones, and a written scope that names the membrane, insulation thickness and fastening pattern.
