Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

After researching between asphalt shingles and metal shingles, we decided metal was the best option for us. Boston was very helpful, patient, and professional. The roof design we chose makes our house look great. I called our insurance to let them know we had just replaced our roof with a metal roof, and got a discount on our policy of around 20%.

If you’re looking for a reliable San Antonio roofing company, I highly recommend Priority Roofing. We recently had our roof replacement completed, and the entire experience exceeded expectations. Our Project Manager, Boston Corral, and his team were outstanding. Boston kept us informed every step of the way and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. From the inspection to the final installation, their attention to detail and professionalism really stood out. They used high-quality roofing materials, explained everything clearly, and made sure the work was done right the first time. The crew was hardworking, respectful of our property, and kept the job site clean throughout the project. If you’re a homeowner in San Antonio dealing with roof damage, considering a roof replacement, or needing a trustworthy roofing contractor, I can confidently recommend Priority Roofing and Boston Corral’s team. Great communication, top materials, and excellent workmanship from start to finish!

I had a seamless experience with Priority Roofing in San Antonio, especially with Josh Clark. He was incredibly polite, professional, and genuinely interested in understanding exactly what I was looking for, you don’t get that these days. He took the time to listen, answer all my questions, and make sure I picked the right roof that matched the scheme of my home. It’s a big cost that you’ll live with for the next 10-15 years. He made the entire process easy, never rushed me, and ensured I felt confident in my purchase, and assisted with dealing with the insurance. I have recommended Josh to my family and friends who are need of a new roof, and will continue to recommend him.

Outstanding technical and customer service! I emailed them regarding warranty work for our roof that was installed a couple years prior. From the beginning of our consultation, everyone was professional, knowledgeable and very timely. Although the repairs were minor, they treated it like I was getting a brand-new roof. My matter was taken seriously, and a team lead was dispatched the following day to survey the matter. Not only was the repair done expeditiously, but the technician also surveyed the entire roof to ensure no small issues that may be present was overlooked. I couldn't be happier with the entire process and how I was treated. They will definitely remain on my recommended business list, and I made sure I posted their company on our neighborhood Facebook page. I will definitely consult with them on an upcoming job at another property. Thank you to Lisa, Terry and Mauricio!

I had a fantastic experience with Priority Roofing all thanks to Joanna! I have to replace my roof due to the hailstorm and she made it a quick and easy process. And even put up with my nonsense with a smile! Fair, kind, knowledgeable, and personable are only a few among the many things that made everything great and smooth. If there is anything you need after a storm or anything for your home ask for Joanna! You will be taken care of! I don’t hope for another storm but I know who I’m calling if I need anything else. Thanks Joanna! Give that girl a raise! She is more than worth it!

Frequently asked

Does Texas require roofing contractors to hold a state license?
No. Texas has no state roofing license. Instead of a license number, homeowners should verify the contractor's insurance, check its RCAT status, and confirm any registration the city requires. Priority Roofing's San Antonio office is part of an RCAT member company.
Is this company an RCAT Member or an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
Those are two different things. RCAT membership means the company belongs to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is a separately earned certification. This listing reflects Member status; ask the company directly if you want proof of the licensed contractor credential.
Where is the San Antonio office located?
The office is at 7254 Blanco Rd, Suite 100, San Antonio, TX 78216. The local phone is (210) 793-3028 and hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Is the San Antonio office part of a bigger company?
Yes. It is a branch of Priority Contracting & Roofing LLC, founded in Dallas in 2016. The headquarters is at 1420 W Mockingbird Ln, Suite 540 in Dallas, and the brand operates offices in dozens of cities nationwide.
Does Priority Roofing help with hail damage insurance claims?
Yes. Storm restoration and insurance claim support is a core part of what the company does, and San Antonio has seen major hailstorms in recent years. Documenting damage promptly and getting a professional inspection before filing a claim is worthwhile.
What are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles and are they worth it in San Antonio?
Class 4 is the highest impact rating under the UL 2218 hail test. Many Texas insurers offer premium discounts for Class 4 roofs, so it is worth asking any roofer, including this one, to quote impact-resistant shingles alongside standard ones.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in San Antonio?
Texas has no statewide building code for this; permitting is decided city by city. Check current requirements with the City of San Antonio Development Services Department, and expect a reputable contractor to handle any required permits and inspections.
Can a roofer waive or absorb my insurance deductible in Texas?
No. Since 2019, Texas law makes it illegal for a contractor to waive, rebate or absorb a homeowner's insurance deductible. Treat any offer to eat the deductible as a red flag with any company.
What services does the San Antonio office offer?
Residential and commercial roof inspections, repairs and replacements, designer roofing systems, emergency roof tarping, and help navigating storm damage insurance claims.
How long has Priority Roofing been in business?
BBB records show the business started in July 2016 in Dallas. The San Antonio branch has held its own BBB accreditation since March 2023.
