About

Level 7 Companies is a roofing and exterior contractor based at 32501-D Gordon Side Road in Fulshear, Fort Bend County, working across the greater Houston area and Southeast Texas. The company presents itself as a turnkey roofing, gutter and custom metalwork group handling residential, commercial and new construction projects, and says the Level 7 name refers to Division 7 of architectural specifications, the section that covers roofing and waterproofing. Its own site describes over 15 years of combined construction experience among the team rather than a single founding date. The published service list covers residential and commercial roofing, new construction roofing, free roof inspections, emergency roof repair, hail damage repair, metal roofing, tile roofing, gutters and downspouts, gutter cleaning, balcony waterproofing, decks and skylights, and sheet metal work. The company lists CertainTeed ShingleMaster and Master Shingle Applicator status, GAF certified residential contractor status, Tesla Solar Roof installer status and Fortified Roof certification, plus membership in the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, the Houston Area Roofing Contractors Association, the Tile Roofing Industry Alliance and the Greater Houston Builders Association. A Level 7 Construction LLC profile does appear in GAF's own contractor directory for Fulshear, and a Level 7 Companies, LLC listing appears in the Tile Roofing Industry Alliance directory. Texas has no statewide roofing licence, so a Texas roofer's trust basis is insurance, association standing, manufacturer program status and any city or county registration. Fort Bend County is inland and is not one of the 14 TWIA first tier coastal counties, so WPI-8 windstorm certification does not apply to roofs in Fulshear, Katy or Richmond. The risk that matters here is hail and straight line wind, which is why Class 4 impact resistant shingle options and a written, photo documented inspection are worth asking about before signing anything.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I started noticing some issues with my roof after a heavy storm, so I decided it was time for a replacement. After contacting Level 7, I felt confident in their service. Daniel explained the whole process clearly and the team completed the work on time. The new roof looks great and my home feels much safer now. I’m very satisfied and highly recommend Level 7 for reliable roofing services.

One star is too good for this company. Level 7 was hired by our builder, Alair Home dba Central Texas Signature Homes, Brandon from Level 7 came out to my home to check water damage going to our porch ceiling. We have been in our new house for less than two years but the contract date Level 7 has with our builder, Alair Homes, was just over two years. Brandon, the inspector, looked at the area of the leak, did not even get on the roof to inspect, and immediately said that he saw that the company had failed to install properly. He said he remembered my home as he had worked on our roof himself. He said he would get back to schedule the repair. After several weeks and several texts to Brandon asking when the repair can be done the repair has yet to be scheduled. No communication unless I initiate it. And texts are often not returned. Brandon didn't even give me a quote in case Level 7 would not cover the cost of the repair. Had another company come out and they took these pictures pointing out the inadequacies of the original install and areas which were likely causing the leak. This is a new roof, less than Would not recommend. They do shoddy work. See pictures attached.

William David Homes started using Level 7 roofing this past year. Having seen their work, it was an easy choice whom to use for my own home. They knocked it out of the park. The striated metal roof is my favorite part of the house! Thank you Brian Lancaster and Kyle Long!

Level7 did an excellent job on our reroof. The crew was here at 6am and didn’t leave until 8pm. Everything exceeded our expectation. Thank you Kyle for all of your supervision.

Frequently asked

Is Level 7 Companies licensed by the State of Texas?
No, and neither is any other Texas roofer. Texas does not issue a state roofing licence. What you can check instead is proof of general liability and workers compensation insurance, standing with the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, manufacturer program status such as GAF or CertainTeed, and whether the company pulls the permit your city requires.
What does the RCAT Member status on this listing actually mean?
RCAT has two separate things that are easy to confuse. Plain Member means the company pays dues and belongs to the association. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (RRL, CRL or CRRL) is earned separately through testing and experience. Level 7 Companies is carried here as a Member, which is association standing, not a government licence and not the RCAT licence credential.
Does a roof in Fulshear or Katy need WPI-8 windstorm certification?
No. WPI-8 applies only in the 14 first tier Gulf Coast counties covered by the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association. Fort Bend County is inland and is not one of them. If a contractor tells you a Fort Bend roof needs a WPI-8, that is a red flag.
What should I be asking about for hail instead?
Ask whether Class 4 impact resistant shingles make sense for your home, and whether your carrier offers a premium discount for them. Many Texas insurers do. Also ask for the inspection to be documented with dated photos, so you have evidence if you later file a claim.
Does Level 7 handle insurance claims for storm damage?
The company lists hail damage repair and emergency roof repair among its services and works in the insurance restoration sector. A roofer can document damage and meet your adjuster on site. Under Texas law a roofer cannot act as your public adjuster or negotiate the claim on your behalf, so be cautious with anyone who offers to.
Who pulls the permit, and does Fulshear require one?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting and inspection rules are set city by city and county by county. Fulshear, Katy, Richmond, Sugar Land and unincorporated Fort Bend County each handle it differently. Ask in writing who is pulling the permit and confirm the requirement with your own city's building department before work starts.
What roofing materials does Level 7 install?
Its site lists asphalt shingle, metal and tile roofing, along with gutters, downspouts, custom sheet metal and balcony waterproofing. Tile and metal are less common among general Houston area roofers, so it is worth asking to see recent local examples of whichever system you are considering.
Does the company do commercial and new construction work?
Yes. Level 7 markets residential, commercial and new construction roofing, and describes itself as a turnkey exterior building solutions group. If your project is a builder or property manager job rather than a single family reroof, ask for references from the matching category.
How do I verify a manufacturer certification a roofer claims?
Look the company up on the manufacturer's own contractor locator, not on the roofer's website. GAF, CertainTeed and Owens Corning all publish searchable directories. A logo on a contractor's homepage is a claim. A profile in the manufacturer's directory is evidence.
What should I get in writing before signing?
Get the full scope including decking replacement, underlayment, flashing, ventilation and disposal. Get the manufacturer's warranty tier and the separate workmanship warranty in years. Get current certificates of insurance sent directly from the insurer or agent. Confirm who pulls the permit, and never pay the full amount up front.
