About

Rowley Roofing & Construction is a veteran owned roofing and construction company based at 110 Rose Lane, Suite 209 in Frisco. Frisco straddles two counties, and that address sits in the 75036 ZIP, which is the Denton County side of the city, so Denton is correct for this listing. The company has been a BBB Accredited Business since 8 February 2010 and holds an A+ rating. The company says it was established in 2009 by Colson Rowley, a US Marine Corps veteran, together with his wife Mandi, a former insurance adjuster. The BBB file gives a matching business start date of 1 January 2009. Work covers residential and commercial roofing, storm restoration after hail and wind, roof repair, free roof inspections, window installation, rain gutter installation, and fence building and staining across the DFW Metroplex. Rowley lists RCAT and the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association among its affiliations, along with the Frisco and Little Elm chambers of commerce. Its published service area covers roughly forty North Texas cities including Frisco, Denton, Little Elm, The Colony, Prosper, Celina, Plano, McKinney, Lewisville, Flower Mound and Dallas. The company states on its own site that it is not a public insurance adjuster and that its role is limited to evaluating damage and carrying out repairs.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We recently had our roof replaced by Rowley Roofing in Frisco, TX and couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the initial consultation & inspection to the final cleanup, everything was handled professionally and proficiently. Daniel Santana, our contact, and his team showed up on time, communicated clearly throughout the process, and completed the job exactly as promised. We gave the company 5 Stars because 6 were not available. That’s how great the experience was. The quality of the workmanship really stands out—our new roof looks fantastic, and you can tell they paid attention to every detail. They also did a great job protecting our property during the project and left everything spotless when they were finished. Better than our landscape company does. It’s not always easy to find a contractor one can trust, but this company far exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing a roof replacement or repair. You will get no hype, no smoke and no mirrors from Rowley. Just years of applied experience and skills combined with great communication. It was so refreshing to have a seamless and pleasurable experience for such an important job.

Doing a quick review first, 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Then a lengthy voice to text. Hail storm. I saw their signs, and I called Rowley Roofing. Mandi flawlessly dealt with the insurance company. Colson and his team did an awesome job on the roof, and Colson himself consulted with me on the color of the gutters, which sounds trivial, but going from white to dark bronze, really improved the look (picture attached). I should’ve posted this review last summer, but I didn’t. I’m doing it today because I got outstanding customer service once again. 2025 hail storm in Richardson. I called Rowley Roofing, and Colson tarped the ridge of my roof that had shingles blown away. His guy appraised the roof as a full replacement covered by insurance. I called the insurance company. Their “clams specialist III” said 4K to replace certain shingles and the cracked skylight. This is less than my deductible, so they would pay zero. I asked him if he could take another look at it, or if he had a boss that could. He said no, he was the final deal. I go back to Rowley roofing and Mandi says you should really hire a third-party adjuster because you do need a full roof replacement. She did say this would be out-of-pocket for me, but upon a roof replacement, they would cover this cost. So lo and behold after my adjuster and their adjuster reviewed the roof, it’s agreed on a $28K payment. This took about three months. When it finally came time to choose the shingles and gutters, I went with a little darker shingles, but just replace the white gutter with white. Colson discussed with me the aesthetics of the gutter and recommended a dark bronze., I resisted because most of the neighborhood had white gutters. In the end, I took his advice, and it was a great decision. Rowley roofing replaced the roof in less than a day. No leftover trash, nails, whatever. And that new gutter color looks great (picture attached). I’m posting now because I’ve finally had enough with my skylight and brightness causing a glare on the TV. I either wanted blinds inside or cover outside. I ordered a cover for the outside. I called and asked Colson what it would cost for them to go up there and install it, and he said he’d just do it this Friday if I leave it on the patio. Which I did and, which he did. No cost to me, and great customer service by him. I fully recommend Rowley Roofing. 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️!

If you’re looking for a roofing company that truly delivers on every promise—and then exceeds it—I cannot recommend Jimmy Kissamitakis and the team at Rowley Roofing and Construction highly enough. From the very beginning, Jimmy set the tone with exceptional communication. Every step of the process was clearly explained, timelines were honored, and I always felt informed and confident in the work being done. In an industry where that level of transparency can be rare, it made a huge difference. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship is outstanding. You can immediately see the attention to detail in every aspect of the project. One of the most impressive upgrades was to my turrets—they honestly look better now than when my home was first built. That level of pride in their work really shows. The crew was professional, courteous, and incredibly respectful of my property. They worked efficiently without ever cutting corners and kept everything remarkably clean throughout the entire process. Not a single nail or piece of debris was left behind, which gave me real peace of mind—especially with a pool to protect and a dog running around. It’s clear they go the extra mile to make sure homeowners don’t have to deal with any added stress. What truly sets Jimmy apart, though, is his character. He went above and beyond on multiple occasions, even taking the time to help me with a few things around the house that I couldn’t quite reach myself (being vertically challenged has its moments—LOL). That kind of kindness and willingness to help says everything about the type of person he is. There were absolutely no surprises—everything stayed within the agreed-upon budget, and the value for the quality of work is exceptional. It’s rare to find a company that combines honesty, skill, professionalism, and genuine care for their customers the way this team does. At the end of this project, I didn’t just gain a beautiful new roof—I gained trust in a company I would confidently recommend to anyone, and even a new friend in Jimmy. If you’re considering roofing work, do yourself a favor and call Jimmy and his team at Rowley Roofing and Construction. You won’t regret it. P.S. As a Seabee/Fly Girl, it pains me to admit how impressed I am with a Jarhead-owned company—but Jimmy and his team absolutely earned it!

Rowley roofing is a family owned local established roofing company. We have had them replace our roof twice when huge hail storms damaged roofs in our neighborhood. We chose them the first time because they are local and we returned to them again because they follow up on any service issues without question. They do answer their phones and return calls. They work with our insurance agent to get the proper approvals for quality work. They provide a guarantee and will not disappear like many fly by night roofers. Colson and Mandi Rowley are upstanding owners and their project manager Jimmy was always available to help and ensure things were completed to our satisfaction

Frequently asked

Which county is this company in, Collin or Denton?
Frisco is split between Collin County and Denton County. The company's office at 110 Rose Lane, Suite 209 is in the 75036 ZIP, which lies on the Denton County side of Frisco. Denton is therefore the correct county for this listing. It serves customers on both sides of the county line.
Does Texas license roofing contractors?
No. There is no state roofing licence in Texas and no state roofing regulator. Trust has to be built from other evidence: certificates of general liability and workers compensation insurance sent to you by the insurer, standing in a voluntary body such as RCAT or NTRCA, a BBB file you can read, and any registration your city requires.
What does RCAT Member mean here?
RCAT is the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The directory records this company at the Member level, which is a paid trade association membership. That is a different thing from RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL), which involves testing and experience requirements. Neither is a government licence.
Why is hail the main roofing issue in Frisco and Denton County?
North Texas sits in the part of the state often called Hail Alley. Spring and early summer supercells regularly produce stones large enough to bruise asphalt shingles, crack the mat under the granules and dent metal flashing, vents and gutters. Most premature roof replacements in Denton and Collin counties trace back to hail rather than age.
Should I choose Class 4 impact resistant shingles?
Class 4 is the highest impact rating under UL 2218 and is awarded to shingles that survive repeated two inch steel ball strikes without the mat cracking. Many Texas insurers offer a premium discount on a Class 4 roof, and the product usually survives more storm seasons than a standard three tab or architectural shingle. Ask your carrier what the discount is worth before committing, and get the exact product and rating written into the contract.
Can this company handle my insurance claim for me?
No, and it says so. Rowley states on its own site that it is not a public insurance adjuster and that its role is limited to evaluating damage and performing repairs. Under Texas law a roofing contractor cannot act as your public adjuster on the same claim. A roofer can document damage, meet your adjuster on site and price the scope, but negotiating the claim on your behalf for a fee is a separate licensed activity.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Frisco?
Texas has no statewide residential building code enforcement, so permitting and inspection rules are set city by city. Frisco, Denton, Plano, McKinney and the other Metroplex cities each run their own permit process for a full roof replacement. Confirm in writing which party pulls the permit, who pays the fee and who books the final inspection.
How do I check that a roofer is really insured?
Ask the insurance agent to email the certificate of insurance to you directly rather than accepting a PDF from the contractor. Check the effective and expiry dates, the general liability limits, and whether workers compensation is included. Texas does not require private employers to carry workers compensation, so if it is absent, find out who covers an injured crew member on your property.
How long does a typical DFW roof replacement take?
Most single family asphalt shingle replacements are a one to two day job for a full crew, plus time for the permit and material delivery. Complex roofs, steep pitches, metal, tile or flat sections, and any decking that has to be replaced once the old roof is off will extend that. After a large regional hail event, scheduling and material lead times are usually the longer part of the wait.
What should I ask before signing a storm damage contract?
Get the full scope in writing including underlayment, ventilation, decking replacement pricing, the exact product and colour, the workmanship warranty and the payment schedule. Texas law lets you cancel a contract for storm damage repairs within a set period if your insurance claim is denied, so read that clause. Be wary of any contract that assigns your insurance benefits away or that demands a large deposit before materials arrive.
