Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0117 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

After being consistently screwed by another roofing company I contacted Haeber hoping for a better experience. My company has MANY stores in the Corpus Area. The lady who answered the phone wouldn't even make an effort to respond within 2 weeks. All I was asking for was an estimate. I'll keep looking... unfortunately.

Best Roofing company in the state. The company and its employees don’t cut corners or rush their work. Quality and experience trump all negative reviews. Invest in Haeber Roofing...Today

Frequently asked

Is Haeber Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not license roofing contractors at the state level. Haeber Roofing holds the voluntary RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential, a separately earned designation from the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas that requires an exam and proof of insurance.
Does Haeber Roofing have a website?
No working company website was found. The company can be reached at (361) 851-8142, and its details are consistent across its BBB profile, the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce directory, and its GAF contractor listing.
What kind of roofing does Haeber Roofing focus on?
Commercial and industrial roofing is the core of the business. Listings describe installation of all types of roofing plus roof repairs and new roof installation across Corpus Christi and surrounding areas.
How long has Haeber Roofing been in business?
BBB records show the business started in August 1978 and has been BBB accredited since April 1979, currently holding an A+ rating.
What is a WPI-8 windstorm certificate and does it apply in Corpus Christi?
Yes. Nueces County is in TWIA's first tier coastal territory, so roof work on structures that carry or want TWIA windstorm coverage generally needs a WPI-8 or WPI-8-E certificate showing the work meets the windstorm building code. The certificate is issued through the Texas Department of Insurance or by a Texas licensed professional engineer, not by the roofer.
Does Haeber Roofing advertise windstorm certified (WPI-8) work?
No such advertising was found, largely because the company has no website. Given its long commercial track record on the coast, ask directly whether your project will be built to windstorm code and who will arrange the WPI-8 inspection before work begins.
Can Haeber Roofing offer manufacturer backed guarantees?
Its GAF commercial contractor listing indicates the company can offer GAF's Diamond Pledge NDL Roof Guarantee on qualifying systems, with coverage terms up to 25 years. Confirm which guarantee applies to your specific roof system in writing.
Do commercial roof projects in Corpus Christi need permits?
Permitting in Texas is handled city by city, and Corpus Christi generally requires permits for commercial roofing work. Windstorm code compliance also affects TWIA insurability for coastal commercial property. An established local contractor should manage permitting.
Will insurance cover storm damage to a commercial roof on the coast?
Wind losses in first tier counties often fall under a TWIA windstorm policy rather than a standard property policy. Document damage promptly, file with the correct carrier, and get a written scope from the contractor to compare with the adjuster's estimate.
What should I confirm before hiring a roofer for coastal commercial work?
A current certificate of liability insurance, who arranges the windstorm (WPI-8) inspection, the exact roof system and wind rating specified, written warranty or guarantee terms, and a clear payment schedule.
