Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0322 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Elevated roofing is an incredible contractor to work with, their commitment to excellence from being of this process to the end was shown through, Ken Rankin. This gentleman was attentive to details, great communicator and listener as well. He exceeded our expectations and delivered well beyond the time of completion quoted. If we ever have to go this way again, Elevated roofing w/Ken Rankin would is the company we will “Choose” Satisfied Customer!

I sent multiple referrals to Elevated Roofing, and I can confidently say they are top-notch. I’m a roofer here in Oklahoma, so I don’t make referrals lightly. Matt and Daniel are amazing to work with—professional, knowledgeable, and extremely responsive. Their communication is excellent from start to finish, their crews are respectful, and the quality of their work truly stands out. They install GAF products and follow proper installation practices, which shows in the final result. Every project I’ve seen them complete has been clean, well-managed, and done the right way. I would absolutely trust Elevated Roofing with my own projects and will continue sending referrals their way.

Sean from Elevated Roofing was exceptionally professional and knowledgeable. They had an over all quick response time and got the job started in a weeks time. The roofing job itself only took a half day. They kept everything clean and tidy. I was one of the individuals hit by the tornado in March and hail a few weeks later. These downpours we’ve had lately made me realize how bad shape my roof was in. I will definitely recommend Elevated Roofing to all of my friends and colleagues. Thank you.

Had a fairly quick repair but much higher beings our home is 3 stories. Thomas responded to repair request on Yelp quickly and came to fix it quickly. Our initial estimate went higher due to the height of house and a specialty ladder needed. Even so, much cheaper than Angie's List and another local roofer who said it was handyman's job not roofer's.

I had a great experience with Elevated Roofing! When I needed my chimney tarped urgently due to approaching storms, Andrew and Daniel were amazingly helpful. They responded quickly and provided excellent service. I highly recommend Elevated Roofing for their promptness and helpfulness, especially when dealing with urgent roofing issues.

Frequently asked

Is Elevated Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas has no state roofing license, so no roofer in Texas can be state licensed. Instead, look for the voluntary licensed credential from the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT), proof of insurance and manufacturer certifications. Elevated Roofing advertises that it is licensed with RCAT and fully insured.
What does GAF Master Elite mean?
Master Elite is GAF's top residential contractor tier, held by a small fraction of roofers, and it allows the contractor to offer GAF's strongest workmanship backed warranties. Elevated Roofing's Master Elite status and President's Club badge appear on its profile in GAF's own directory.
Does Elevated Roofing help with hail damage insurance claims?
Yes. The company focuses on storm and hail damage restoration in North Texas and states that it assists homeowners through the insurance claim process, starting with a free roof inspection.
Should I consider Class 4 impact-resistant shingles in North Texas?
The Frisco and North Dallas area sits in Texas Hail Alley, so many homeowners upgrade to Class 4 impact-rated shingles. Some Texas insurers offer premium discounts for them, so ask both your roofer and your insurance agent before choosing materials.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Frisco?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement for this, so permitting is handled city by city. Confirm current requirements with the City of Frisco's building inspections department before work begins; a reputable roofer will know the local rules.
Does Elevated Roofing do commercial roofing?
Yes. In addition to residential work, the company offers commercial roofing services across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including industries such as hospitality and retail.
Can Elevated Roofing install solar?
Yes. The company offers solar roofing for homeowners, including GAF's Timberline Solar shingle system, alongside its standard roof replacement services.
What is a FORTIFIED Roof?
FORTIFIED is a voluntary construction standard from the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS) that strengthens a roof against high wind and severe weather. Elevated Roofing's GAF profile lists a FORTIFIED Roof certification.
What should I ask any Texas roofer before signing a contract?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly from the insurer, local references, a written scope with materials and warranty terms, and confirmation of who pulls any required city permit. Be cautious with door-to-door storm chasers asking for large deposits.
Does Elevated Roofing offer emergency service?
Yes. The company advertises 24/7 emergency tarping and repair for storm-damaged roofs in its service area.
