About

Eagle Roofing & Construction is a family-owned roofing company based in Amarillo that has served the Texas Panhandle since 2018. The company handles residential and commercial roofing, including replacements, repairs, maintenance, inspections and storm damage restoration, and states that most of its work comes from repeat clients and referrals. It also offers exterior services such as gutters, windows and siding. The company operates from 3350 Olsen Blvd, Suite 1400 in Amarillo and serves Amarillo, Lubbock and the wider West Texas Panhandle. It backs full roof replacements with a stated 10-year workmanship guarantee and offers help with insurance claims after hail and wind storms, a frequent need in the Panhandle's hail-prone climate. Eagle Roofing & Construction has been a BBB Accredited Business since February 2020 with an A+ rating, and BBB records show a City of Amarillo roofing contractor registration (RRCON-000448). Texas has no state roofing license, so city registration, insurance and association credentials are the practical trust markers here.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Insurance Required by RCAT Licensed credential (liability and workers’ comp cover are conditions of this credential; ask for the current certificate)
RCAT status Licensed Roofing Contractor Verify ↗credential held by Rigoberto Garcia CRRL
City/county registration Required in Amarillo Permit office ↗Roofing Contractor Registration. Registration is required here to pull a roofing permit; we have not confirmed this company's own status, so check it before you sign.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0641 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I cannot recommend Eagle Roofing enough!!! I want to give a special thank you to Shae Godwin. He truly went above and beyond throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer all of my questions, and made sure my roof was taken care of every step of the way. It’s hard to find that level of service these days, and it did not go unnoticed. If you’re looking for a roofing company that is honest, and reliable … Eagle Roofing is the way to go. I am extremely happy with my roof and highly recommend them for any roofing needs!

I had such a great experience with Eagle Roofing and especially Gabe Mueller. Gabe was honest, professional, easy to communicate with, and really made the whole process stress-free from start to finish. He always kept me updated, answered every question I had, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was done right. The roof turned out amazing, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. I would absolutely recommend Eagle Roofing and Gabe to anyone looking for a company they you can trust.

What a great company to work with. I had a million and one questions and Kimberly/Cesar did a great job sticking with me, having patience and figuring out how to find my answers if they didn't have them. They also helped me with insurance so I can get the most out of my deductible so I can buy and upgrade my roof. I liked working with these guys and I liked how professional and driven the crew was. These are my roof guys for sure! Thanks guys!

We had an amazing experience with this roofing company from start to finish. The crew was professional, punctual, and extremely hardworking. They explained everything clearly, kept the property clean, and finished the job on time. The roof looks incredible and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. It’s hard to find companies this honest and reliable these days. Highly recommend and make sure you ask for Gabriel Mueller he gives you real fair pricing 🙏

Frequently asked

Does Texas require a state license for roofers?
No. Texas has no state roofing license, so no roofer in Amarillo is 'state licensed'. What you can check instead is proof of insurance, RCAT status, and city registration. BBB records show Eagle Roofing & Construction holds a City of Amarillo roofing contractor registration.
What does the RCAT listing mean for this company?
RCAT is the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. It has two distinct levels: plain membership, and a separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential that requires testing and vetting. This company appears in the RCAT system under the Licensed category, which is a voluntary professional credential, not a government license.
Why is hail such a big deal for Amarillo roofs?
The Texas Panhandle sits in hail alley, and hailstorms are the most common cause of roof replacement in the region. Regular inspections after major storms help catch bruised shingles and cracked vents before leaks develop.
Should I consider Class 4 impact-resistant shingles?
In a hail-prone market like Amarillo, Class 4 shingles are worth pricing out. They resist hail impact better than standard shingles, and many Texas insurers offer premium discounts for them. Ask any bidder to quote both options.
Will homeowners insurance cover my hail-damaged roof?
Most Texas policies cover sudden hail and wind damage, subject to your deductible and policy terms. Document the damage, file promptly, and have a roofer meet the adjuster if possible. Eagle Roofing & Construction states that it assists customers with insurance claims.
Does Eagle Roofing & Construction offer a warranty?
The company states a 10-year workmanship guarantee on full roof replacements on its website. Get any warranty in writing, and ask how it interacts with the shingle manufacturer's separate material warranty.
Do I need a permit to reroof in Amarillo?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting is handled city by city. The City of Amarillo requires roofing contractors to register with the city, and reroofing work generally goes through the city's permitting process. Confirm who pulls the permit before work starts.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract?
Ask for a current certificate of insurance sent directly from the insurer, a written scope with materials and price, local references you can call, the city registration number, and the warranty terms in writing. Be wary of anyone offering to cover your deductible, which is illegal in Texas.
Does this company work outside Amarillo?
Yes. Its website advertises service in Amarillo, Lubbock and the West Texas Panhandle.
How do I check this company's complaint history?
Its BBB profile shows the A+ rating, accreditation date, and any complaints with the company's responses. Reading how a roofer resolves complaints is often more informative than the raw complaint count.
