About

Brettco Roofing II, LLC is a long running Dallas and Fort Worth roofing contractor. Its BBB file shows the business started on July 1, 1988 and has been a BBB Accredited Business since July 1, 1990 with an A+ rating. Holly Green is president and the company's About page says she has been central to the business since 1988. The company describes itself as women owned and says it holds DBE, WBE and SBE certifications. Brettco splits its work into three lanes: homeowners, homebuilders and commercial. Residential work covers reroofs, repairs and maintenance, rain gutters, detached structures and remodel or addition roofs, with hail and wind damage repair called out. Commercial and new construction work is handled by the same office, and emergency service is advertised as available 24 hours a day. On materials the company lists composition shingles, standing seam and other metal systems with warranties up to 30 years, and tile in concrete, clay and slate. It names Owens Corning, CertainTeed and Atlas as its main product lines. Owens Corning's own contractor directory lists Brettco as a Preferred Contractor. The company also states a CertainTeed Select ShingleMaster credential and long standing involvement with the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association, including board and past president roles.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

City/county registration Required in Fort Worth Permit office ↗Contractor Registration (Development Services Department; Fort Worth Building Administrative Code Sec. 118). Registration is required here to pull a roofing permit; we have not confirmed this company's own status, so check it before you sign.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0223 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Brettco Roofing and Holly Green are the very best! I have asked Brettco Roofing for assistance on roof leaks for the past 15 years. Ms. Green came out in person… This most recent leak in my roof was fixed!!! John, so very professional and personable, made sure that everything was taken care of. I requested 3 estimates. One company stated that I needed a new roof… $36K…. My roof was 2-years old! Do your research! Brettco Roofing, I will never use another roofing company! Thank you Ms. Green, thank you, John!

When I called they would be able to come check my roof. I was told that they would be in the neighborhood and they would have them run by take a looks and fix it.If they could. I recently had shoulder surgery and I had some lights out in my kitchen. That I was unable to replace. I asked if there was any chance that they could replace these six lights due to my condition. I was told no problem. They would be more than happy to do it. brettco roofing and all the people that work for him are so wonderful and understanding. Your friend is looking for a roofing company.I would definitely recommend them one hundred percent. They do awesome work. And they are very caring. Fantastic experience from start to finish. We had our roof replaced, new gutters, leaf guards, updated windows. Painted the exterior of the house. Power washed and stained and sealed our fence. The whole exterior looks fresh and updated. Quality work, great communication! Highly recommend Brettco Roofing! Larry Z

Brettco Roofing did an outstanding job on our roof repairs recently. From start to finish, their team demonstrated outstanding professionalism, clear communication, with expert knowledge and workmanship. John provided a timely and reasonable estimate. The crew arrived on time, thoroughly assessed the issue, kept the worksite clean and safe, and they completed the job on schedule. The crew identified problem areas we hadn’t even noticed, explained everything clearly, and completed the work with great attention to detail and quality. If you’re looking for a roofing company that is honest, skilled, and dependable, I highly recommend Brettco Roofing. They’ve earned our trust, and we’ll absolutely call on them again when the need arises.

Very honest! High-quality work! Reasonable price! We had a very large (nation-wide), hard-sell, siding and window contractor come out to look at squirrel-damaged siding. Salesman pointed out multiple roofing “issues” they could “fix” with a new roof as well. Decided to call Brettco because I was very pleased with roofing jobs they did on a previous house of mine and M-I-L’s house. They did a very thorough roof inspection and reported the roof was fine. I asked who they recommended for siding repair and turned out they could do it, as well as painting my soffit and fascia which were a little tired and faded. Their painter revived a front door that I was afraid was too far gone! The siding replacement and painting of all siding, soffit, and fascia was perfectly executed, and they left absolutely no mess behind! I have dealt with a bunch of contractors over the years, both at work and on my houses. Brettco is the only one I have ever endorsed publicly or on social media!

Frequently asked

Is Brettco Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas issues no state roofing licence, so nobody roofing in Texas holds one. The checks that matter are the company's RCAT standing, its insurance certificates and its BBB record. Brettco holds the RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential in the record we hold and has been a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating since 1990.
What does RCAT Licensed mean, and how is it different from RCAT Member?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas offers plain membership, which means paid dues, and a separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) that requires testing and insurance proof. Licensed is the higher bar. The two should never be described as the same thing.
Where is Brettco Roofing actually located?
The address in the footer of the company's own website is 3200 Curtis Dr STE 200, Fort Worth, TX 76116. Its BBB file and other directory records list a Fort Worth 76126 address on S FM 1187 Road, and the company's own site describes it as based in Aledo, Texas. Aledo is in Parker County, which is likely why the association record carries a Parker County tag on a Fort Worth city.
How long has the company been in business?
The BBB record shows a business start date of July 1, 1988, and the company's marketing says over 30 years serving the DFW area. BBB accreditation dates to July 1, 1990.
Does Brettco handle hail and wind damage?
Yes. Hail and wind damage repair and seasonal maintenance are named services, and 24 hour emergency service is advertised. Tarrant and Parker counties sit squarely in the North Texas hail belt, so storm work is routine.
Should I ask for Class 4 impact resistant shingles?
It is worth asking. A Class 4 shingle has passed the UL 2218 impact test and many Texas carriers offer a premium discount for one. The size of the discount differs by insurer, so confirm the credit with your agent first and then have the roofer price the Class 4 upgrade next to the standard product.
What roofing materials does the company install?
Its homeowner page lists composition shingles, metal roofing including standing seam with warranties up to 30 years, and tile in concrete, clay and slate. The brands named on the About page are Owens Corning, CertainTeed and Atlas.
Does it work with homebuilders and commercial property owners?
Yes. The site has separate sections for Homeowners, Homebuilders and Commercial, so new construction and commercial roofing are handled alongside residential replacement and repair.
Who pulls the permit and who inspects the work?
There is no statewide building code administration in Texas, so permitting is handled by the city or county. A Fort Worth reroof and a Parker County reroof follow different rules. Ask in writing who is pulling the permit and make sure the final inspection is booked before you release the last payment.
What should I confirm before signing?
Ask for current general liability and workers compensation certificates sent by the insurer, a written scope naming the exact shingle or metal system, the workmanship warranty term in writing, and how decking replacement is priced if rot shows up after tear off. Under Texas law you must pay your own deductible, so treat any offer to waive or absorb it as a red flag.
