About

BlueRidge Roofing & Construction is an Amarillo based roofing contractor at 6900 W Interstate 40, Suite 151, working across the Texas Panhandle and out to the Lubbock area, Midland and Odessa, eastern New Mexico and western Oklahoma. It runs separate phone lines for each region. BBB records show the company was incorporated in January 2021 and started trading in February 2021, with Tim Reed as managing owner and Jennifer Reed as part owner. The company describes its team as roofing professionals with more than 20 years of experience across West Texas. Work covers both residential and commercial property: free inspections, full roof replacement, new construction roofing, flat roof systems, storm damage work and general repair and maintenance. Materials include composition shingles, wood shake, metal and specialty systems, and GAF's contractor directory lists the company for both residential asphaltic and commercial single ply roofing. The company describes itself as a GAF Master Elite contractor. It is BBB accredited with an A+ rating, accredited since July 2021, and lists Community Choice Awards for 2024 and 2025 and a 2025 Best of Amarillo win. The Panhandle roofing story is hail, wind and sun rather than coastal windstorm, and Potter County is nowhere near the TWIA first tier counties. On reviews, the company's own reviews page points visitors at its Google reviews without publishing a number, and we could not read the Google listing directly, so the Google rating and count are left blank here rather than guessed. Third party directories report a 5.0 average across roughly 126 Google reviews. If that is accurate it is a meaningful sample rather than a token one, but it comes from scraped listings and was not confirmed at source.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I am so pleased that I chose BlueRidge Roofing to replace our roof. Customer service was excellent in every way. I owe Will, the project manager, a big thank you for making sure there was no damage done to my yard and the amazing clean up after the roof was completed. I would highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend BlueRidge Roofing & Construction. I needed a roof inspection and shingles replaced. Kyler came the same day I called. I appreciated the quick response and the professionalism I received from Kyler that came to our house and the nice lady, Jennifer, answering the phone. I had a great experience with this company.

Amazing work and customer service!!! Tim at BlueRidge is amazing for what he did. First off, I called and got a free quote last year, but due to certain circumstances I wasn’t able to move forward with the project. A year later, no questions asked, he drove back out sixty miles one way from Amarillo to give us another quote. He came and checked on the project multiple times during the process. They did a complete roof replacement on my 120 year-old home. They were open and honest with me from the start that it would not be an easy job. But just four days, and they had this project done. The crew was professional, courteous, and worked hard from sun up to sun down. They cleaned every piece of material that came off the house. Then rolled the yard multiple times to get as many nails as they could. I highly recommend them for any roof repairs or replacements you may need.

Everyone at Blue Ridge was extremely professional and responsive from the very start. Shout out to Tyson, who managed our project from start to finish. They were prompt, friendly, professional, and did an outstanding job on our new roof. They also did an amazing cleanup afterwards. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Frequently asked

Is this company licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no roofer in Texas can be state licensed. The company describes itself as insured, licensed and bonded to the standards of each community it works in, which refers to local registration rather than a state credential. Ask for current general liability and workers compensation certificates and verify them with the insurer.
The listing says RCAT Licensed. What does that mean?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas runs a voluntary Licensed Roofing Contractor credential that is earned separately from ordinary dues paying membership, and it requires meeting RCAT's qualification, experience and standing requirements. It is held by a minority of Texas roofers. It is a strong industry signal, but it is still voluntary and is not a government licence.
What damages roofs in Amarillo and the Panhandle?
Hail and high straight line wind are the main events, and the Panhandle also gets driven dust, extreme temperature swings and occasional heavy snow load. Intense sun ages shingles between storms. Because Potter County is deep inland, coastal windstorm rules such as WPI-8 and TWIA certification play no part in a reroof here.
Should I pay extra for impact resistant Class 4 shingles?
In hail country it is usually worth pricing. Class 4 is the highest UL 2218 impact rating. Many Texas insurers offer a premium discount on a Class 4 roof, so ask your own carrier what the discount is and how long it applies, then weigh that against the upgrade cost.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Amarillo?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting is set by each city and county. The City of Amarillo has its own building department requirements, and the smaller Panhandle towns and unincorporated county areas each differ. Confirm locally, and make the contract state who pulls the permit and who pays.
What does GAF Master Elite mean?
Master Elite is GAF's highest contractor tier and it is what allows a roofer to offer GAF's strongest warranties, including the Golden Pledge limited warranty, on qualifying systems. The company describes itself at this level and is listed on GAF's contractor directory. Ask to see the specific warranty document for the exact system quoted, because enhanced warranties depend on installing the full manufacturer system.
Does the company work outside Texas?
Yes. Alongside the Texas Panhandle, Lubbock area and Midland Odessa, it publishes phone lines and service pages for eastern New Mexico, including Clovis and Portales, and states that it also covers western Oklahoma. Only its Texas coverage is listed in the service areas on this page.
Can it handle commercial and new construction work?
Yes. Its services cover commercial property alongside residential, including flat roof systems, storm damage, general repairs and maintenance, and new construction roofing. GAF lists the company under both residential and commercial contractor categories.
How should I read the 5.0 rating?
Check the sample size before you trust any perfect score. The company's own reviews page links to its Google reviews without stating a number, and we could not read the Google listing directly. Third party directories report roughly 126 Google reviews at 5.0, which would be a solid base if accurate, but that figure comes from scraped listings and is unconfirmed. Open the Google listing yourself and read a spread of recent reviews.
What should I check before signing a Panhandle roofing contract?
Ask for live liability and workers compensation certificates and verify them with the insurer. Get a written scope naming the shingle line, underlayment, ventilation, flashing and a decking replacement rate. Confirm who pulls the permit, what the workmanship warranty covers and whether it transfers. Never accept an offer to cover your insurance deductible, which Texas HB 2102 has made illegal since September 2019.
