Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Excellent service and quality work. I highly recommend them. Steve W. and the APR team handled 99% of the communication with our insurance company saving us so much time and frustration. And the class 4 roofing they installed reduced our HO insurance by about $2000 annually.

Michael Ginn was fantastic! I was very well informed from the first discussion about getting a roof installed to the finished product. Throughout the whole process I was given extensive details on what issues my roof had and exactly how it was going to be fixed. The installation was extremely professional and expedient. I would highly recommend going with American Patriot Roofing!

We would highly recommend American Patriot Roofing for any roofing repairs that you may have. They were recommended to us and did not disappoint. They were immediately responsive to our first phone call. Set up a time to do an estimate. The repairs were done with much care and respect to our property. They are dependable, trustworthy, and very conscientious. We highly recommend American Patriot Roofing for all of your roofing needs!

American Patriot Roofing did an outstanding job on our full roof replacement after hail damage. Logan Beadle was great from the beginning, taking the time to explain everything clearly and even coming back later that night to address some leaking areas because rain was in the forecast. That level of service meant a lot. Taylor Beadle was there when the insurance adjuster came for the assessment, and she was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and professional throughout the process. The company stayed in constant communication with me, negotiated with my insurance company, and was able to get an additional $17,000 approved for repairs. The roof looks beautiful, and they upgraded us to a Class 4 roof. The work crew was fast, efficient, and left everything clean when they finished. Taylor was there most of the day monitoring the work, and Jeromy Boulet came by at the end of the day to make sure everything had gone smoothly. I highly recommend American Patriot Roofing for their professionalism, communication, and quality of work.

Amazing experience helping us with a minor leak on our roof. The team was fast, courteous, and honest with us. Though I hope we never have a major roof issue, we can rest easy knowing that the American Patriot will be there to take care of us if we do! I'll be recommending them to everyone in the future.

Frequently asked

Is American Patriot Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas has no statewide roofing license, so no roofer, including American Patriot Roofing, can be 'state licensed.' The company is listed as an RCAT Member; homeowners should confirm current liability insurance directly, since RCAT status is not a substitute for insurance verification.
Is American Patriot Roofing an RCAT Member or an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
RCAT's directory lists American Patriot Roofing as a plain Member, meaning the company pays dues to belong to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. This is different from the separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor (CRRL/RRL/CRL) credential.
Does American Patriot Roofing help with hail damage insurance claims?
Yes, insurance restoration is central to the company's business. It offers inspections, damage documentation, and claim assistance for storm and hail damaged roofs, which is a common need in North Texas' 'Hail Alley.'
Does American Patriot Roofing install impact-resistant Class 4 shingles?
The company partners with Malarkey Roofing Products and works in asphalt shingle roofing; homeowners in hail-prone North Texas should ask specifically about Class 4 impact-resistant shingle options and any related insurance discount.
Is American Patriot Roofing BBB accredited?
No. According to the Better Business Bureau's own profile, American Patriot Roofing is not a BBB Accredited Business, though the BBB still shows an A+ rating for the company.
Does American Patriot Roofing pull permits for roofing jobs?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting is handled city by city. Homeowners should confirm directly with American Patriot Roofing and their local city whether a permit is required.
What should I ask American Patriot Roofing before signing a contract?
Ask for proof of current liability insurance, a written scope of work, warranty terms for the Malarkey shingle system being installed, and how insurance claim assistance is handled if the job involves a storm claim.

Does American Patriot Roofing offer emergency roof repair?
