Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

The roof installation was done professionally, correctly, and efficiently. Communications was prompt and Russell Parnell and the team were both polite and professional, making the whole project quick and hassle-free. Roof looks great, and there were no issues before, during, or after installation including getting TDI inspection and WPI-8 form submitted.

Alliance Roofing made the whole process easy and clear. From the start, Russell was kind and patient. He took the time to walk through everything and answered all my questions. The crew was efficient and professional. They finished the entire roof replacement in one day and left everything spotless. The new roof looks great. It was a smooth experience from start to finish. I highly recommend Alliance Roofing.

I chose Alliance because I truly appreciated the time Russell spent explaining every step of the process. He did not rush me and answered my questions thoroughly. He helped me understand what was best for my home. The crew replacing the roof were here bright and early. They finished up the first day and cleaned up the yard and flowerbeds afterwards. The roof looks great! Thank you!

We had a very pleasant experience with Alliance Roofing. We called for an estimate, the sales rep, Russell Parnell stopped by that day. He was very polite and knowledgeable not pushy. We called him in a few days to say we accepted his quote. They were here in just a few days to do the roof. They did a great job and cleaned up in one day and it was complete.

Their and professional approach made the entire process smooth and efficient. And our new roof looks great.

Frequently asked

Does Texas issue a state roofing license?
No. Texas has no statewide roofing license. Confirm a contractor's standing instead through insurance, BBB accreditation, and association status like RCAT.
Is Alliance Roofing an RCAT Member or a Licensed Roofing Contractor?
The RCAT directory lists Alliance Roofing Company, LLC as a Member. That reflects paid association membership, which is different from RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL/RRL/CRL); Alliance Roofing is not listed as holding that separate credential.
What is GAF Master Elite certification?
GAF Master Elite is GAF's top contractor certification, reserved for roughly the top 2 percent of roofing contractors nationally based on licensing, insurance, and reputation. Alliance Roofing's own site states it holds this certification.
Is WPI-8 windstorm certification relevant for a Pearland roof?
Yes. Pearland sits in Brazoria County, one of the 14 first tier coastal counties covered by the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA). Homes in TWIA's designated catastrophe area generally need a WPI-8 certificate, issued after inspection of qualifying windstorm resistant construction, to get TWIA windstorm coverage. Ask Alliance Roofing directly whether they handle WPI-8 inspections and paperwork for your specific address, since not every property in Brazoria County falls inside the TWIA coastal boundary.
What roofing materials does Alliance Roofing work with?
The company installs and repairs asphalt shingle, metal, clay and concrete tile, and TPO flat roofing systems.
Does Alliance Roofing offer Class 4 impact resistant shingles?
The Houston area sees both hail and coastal wind events. Ask Alliance Roofing which shingle lines they carry and whether Class 4 impact resistant options are available, since these can qualify for insurance discounts.
Is Alliance Roofing insured?
Homeowners should request current proof of general liability and workers compensation insurance directly from Alliance Roofing before signing any contract, regardless of its BBB or GAF status.
How long has Alliance Roofing been in business?
The company's own site states it was founded in 1990; BBB records show the business starting in January 1991 and accreditation beginning in 1993.
What permits are needed for a roof replacement in Pearland?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting is set city by city. Confirm permit requirements with the City of Pearland or Brazoria County, or ask the contractor to confirm before work begins.
What should I ask before signing a contract with a coastal area roofer like Alliance Roofing?
Ask for proof of insurance, whether they handle TWIA/WPI-8 documentation if you are in the coastal zone, manufacturer certification details, a written scope of work, and clear payment and warranty terms.
