About

BEST Contracting Services is a Frisco based roofing and general contracting company serving the north Dallas metroplex. Its office is at 2770 Main Street, Suite 194, Frisco, TX 75033, and its published phone number is (469) 570-2488. BBB records list the business as starting on October 28, 2014, incorporating in December 2018, and being run by managing member Angel Alvarez. The company has announced a second Frisco location at 2591 Dallas Parkway, Suite 300. Beyond roofing, the company covers painting, remodeling, brick and stone masonry, gutters and downspouts, fencing and window replacement, so a single contractor can carry a storm claim past the roofline. Its roofing work includes free roof inspections, free hail and wind storm damage assessments, and removal and replacement of asphalt, wood shake, metal and tile roofs. On the commercial side it lists TPO, PVC and EPDM rubber systems as well as commercial metal and asphalt. The company states it works with all insurance carriers on storm claims and describes a five step claim process. Frisco sits in Denton County inside the North Texas hail corridor, and hail is the main reason roofs get replaced here. The company is listed in Owens Corning's contractor directory and states it holds HAAG Certified Inspector credentials for residential roofs. Its BBB profile carries an A+ rating. Because Texas has no state roofing license, ask for a current certificate of general liability and workers compensation insurance and confirm who pulls the City of Frisco permit before work starts.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Insurance Required by RCAT Licensed credential (liability and workers’ comp cover are conditions of this credential; ask for the current certificate)

City/county registration Required in Frisco Check the registry ↗Contractor Registration (Building Inspections Division; City Code Article II - Contractor Registration). Registration is required here to pull a roofing permit; we have not confirmed this company's own status, so check it before you sign.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0451 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Angel and his crew did a great job providing repairs to our roof and chimney. Prompt, courteous and very professional, from the initial visit to provide an estimate, and all the way through the work and cleanup, and the final invoice matched the initial estimate. We definitely know who to call if we need any further such work in the future.

BEST Contracting Services "name" says it all... they simply are THE BEST!!! Everything about the experience of working with them from start to finish was exceptional! They provided us with a number of services from roof repair & installation, gutter replacement & installation, venting installation and exterior painting. Angel, the owner, provided us with impeccable service from beginning to end. He was very attentive to what we wanted to achieve, our preferences, as well as, other cosmetic changes we were interested in having done. His team was very well prepared, on-time and completely professional at all times. From their initial preparation, during and upon completion, they were extremely attentive and cautious to ensuring our home and surrounding areas were protected, well maintained and cleaned up upon completion. Angel, who was always authentically friendly, professional and very knowledgeable, made the entire process seamless and was extremely thorough, with exceptional attention-to-detail and follow-through throughout the entire process. He made it a priority to ensure that we were well informed about what would be entailed and in setting expectations of what we could expect throughout. Angel and his team provided a level of service that we have not seen, experienced or heard of with ANY other service providers that we have partnered with. He and the BEST Contracting Services team certainly are deserving of a "5 Star" rating and we would absolutely use them again, as well as, HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for their services.

Highly recommend Best contracting Services. They helped me out with a roof repair. They came in less than 24 hrs. They went above and beyond to fulfill my needs. On top of the high quality repair, they did a complete roof visual inspection and took the time to explain and answer all my questions. Their responsiveness and professionalism has earned my business as they will be my contracting company to go!

"We had Best Contracting Services replace every window in our home in Frisco with Burris Windows featuring Cardinal 340 glass, and we couldn’t be happier! The new windows look amazing and have already made our home feel cooler and more comfortable. Angel and his crew were on time, very professional, and kept everything clean throughout the project. We highly recommend Best Contracting Services for anyone looking for quality window installation, and we're telling our friends in our Meadow Hills Estates neighborhood, what great service we got.

Frequently asked

Is there a state roofing license in Texas?
No. Texas does not license roofing contractors at the state level. Verification here means checking current insurance, voluntary credentials such as RCAT, manufacturer certifications, and any city registration the local jurisdiction requires.
What does RCAT Licensed mean, and how is it different from RCAT membership?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas offers plain membership, which is a paid affiliation, and a separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential. The credential requires meeting RCAT's own standards. Ask a contractor to name which one they hold.
How much hail does Frisco actually get?
Frisco and the wider Collin and Denton county area sit in the heart of the North Texas hail corridor. Damaging spring hail is a recurring event, and most residential roof replacements in the area begin as an insurance claim.
What is a Class 4 impact-resistant shingle?
Class 4 is the highest rating in the UL 2218 steel-ball impact test. These shingles are built to resist the bruising and granule loss that hail causes. They are a common upgrade on north Texas replacement roofs.
Do Texas insurers discount impact-resistant roofs?
Many do, but the discount amount and the list of qualifying products differ by carrier. Confirm the discount with your own insurance company before selecting a shingle, and keep the product documentation for your file.
Does Frisco require a roofing permit?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting rules are set locally. The City of Frisco requires permits for roof work. Ask the contractor to confirm in writing that they pull the permit and that inspection is included in the price.
How does a hail insurance claim usually work?
You file with your carrier, an adjuster inspects and writes a scope, the carrier pays actual cash value less your deductible, work is completed, and the recoverable depreciation is released once you submit the final invoice. Your deductible is always your responsibility.
Can a contractor waive or absorb my deductible?
No. Under Texas Insurance Code Chapter 707 it is illegal for a contractor to pay, rebate or absorb an insurance deductible, and a contractor must tell you so in writing. Any offer to cover your deductible is a red flag.
What should be in the contract before I sign?
The full written scope, the shingle brand and product line, underlayment and ventilation details, decking replacement pricing, permit responsibility, workmanship warranty length, payment schedule, and the cleanup plan including nail sweeps.
How long does a roof replacement take?
The company states a typical residential replacement runs one to three days from start to finish depending on the size and complexity of the roof. Larger, steeper or specialty roofs take longer.
