About

WeatherShield Roofing & Sheet Metal is a commercial and residential roofing contractor at 377 Savage Lane in Aledo, in Parker County just west of Fort Worth. The address, the (817) 441-1446 number, the weathershieldroofs.com domain and the office@txroofer.com email all match across the company's own contact page, its BBB profile, its Yelp listing and its GAF contractor profile, so the identity is settled. The company's own material says it has served commercial developers, residential builders and homeowners across Texas since 2005, and Brandon Flowers is named on its About page as founder and chief executive alongside a listed leadership team covering operations, sales, commercial service, finance and marketing. Work covers commercial roof replacement and inspections, residential roofing, storm damage repair with insurance claim assistance, emergency leak repair, preventative maintenance programmes, in house sheet metal, and residential solar. Roof types listed include composition shingles, metal, single ply and multi ply commercial systems, tile and slate. GAF's own contractor directory lists WeatherShield Roofing LLC at 377 Savage Ln as a GAF Certified Plus contractor, which qualifies the company to offer the System Plus and Silver Pledge limited warranties on qualifying residential systems. Parker County and the western edge of the Metroplex sit inside the part of Texas that takes the most damaging hail, and the company positions itself as a year round local roofer rather than a storm chasing operation, stating that it keeps crews employed through the year and that it will still be reachable for later warranty calls. It reports an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, where it has been an Accredited Business since April 2012, and membership of the National Roofing Contractors Association. It appears in the RCAT directory as a Member.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Fast, efficient and job well done. Had few issues with shingles and chimney was redone. Chimney looks better than it did when house was 1st built. Repair tech left no trace behind- cleaned up debris and was out of there fast!

After dealing with disappointing contractors in the past, I was very cautious about who to trust with my roof. Choosing WeatherShield Roofing was the best decision I could have made. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. Rod went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and that I felt confident every step of the way. I’ll definitely be recommending WeatherShield to all of my friends and family.

Our roof was needing replaced due to some recent wind and hail damage, so I called Weathershield Roofing in Aledo due to their multiple positive reviews and recommendations from friends. Rod came out and did a thorough inspection and worked diligently with the insurance company to get the needed replacement completed as painlessly and quickly as possible. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and great to work with throughout the process. Would definitely recommend them if you need minor or major repairs done.

We had two other companies attempt to fix our roof leak, but they were more focused on selling us a new roof. Weathershield was the only one that took the time to find the true root cause of the problem and provide a proper repair. Special thanks to Rod and Jorge for their great communication and honesty. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked

Is this the same as the Weather Shield window brand?
No. Weather Shield is a national window and door manufacturer and has no connection to this business. This company is WeatherShield Roofing & Sheet Metal, a roofing contractor at 377 Savage Lane in Aledo, Texas, reachable on (817) 441-1446 at weathershieldroofs.com. There are also unrelated roofing firms using similar names in other states, so check the domain, address and phone before assuming a review or profile belongs to this company.
Where is Aledo and what area does the company cover?
Aledo is in Parker County, just west of Fort Worth on the western edge of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. The company's locations page names Aledo, Fort Worth and Dallas, with commercial and residential service in Aledo and Fort Worth and commercial service in Dallas, all run from the single Aledo office.
Does Texas license roofing contractors?
No. Texas has no state roofing licence, so no roofer in Aledo or anywhere else in the state can show you one. What is worth checking is current general liability and workers compensation cover confirmed directly by the insurer or agent, trade credentials such as RCAT status, manufacturer programme status confirmed on the manufacturer's own site, and any registration the city requires.
What does RCAT Member mean?
The Roofing Contractors Association of Texas has two distinct things. Member means the company belongs to the association and pays dues. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (RRL, CRL or CRRL) is earned separately through experience and examination. This company appears as a Member, which is not the same as holding the RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential.
What is a GAF Certified Plus contractor?
It is a tier in GAF's residential contractor programme. Certified Plus contractors have met GAF's requirements on insurance, experience and customer feedback and can offer the System Plus and Silver Pledge limited warranties on qualifying GAF roof systems. It is a manufacturer credential rather than a government licence, and it was confirmed here on GAF's own contractor directory against the Aledo address.
How bad is hail in Parker County?
Parker County sits inside the North and Central Texas belt often called Hail Alley, and damaging hail runs through most spring storm seasons. Damage is frequently invisible from the ground, so after a significant storm it is worth having the roof looked at even when nothing is leaking. Soft metal such as vents, gutter aprons and air conditioner fins usually shows the first evidence.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth it here?
Often yes in a hail exposed county like Parker. Shingles rated Class 4 under UL 2218 resist bruising better than standard products, and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for them. Ask your agent for the specific credit your carrier gives before choosing, since the discount and the qualifying product list vary between insurers.
How does a hail insurance claim usually work in Texas?
You report the loss to your carrier, an adjuster inspects, and the carrier issues a scope with an actual cash value payment first and the recoverable depreciation later once work is completed and invoiced. Your deductible is yours to pay, and Texas law makes it an offence for a contractor to promise to absorb or waive it. Read any contract that only takes effect on claim approval before you sign it.
Who issues the roofing permit in Aledo and Fort Worth?
Texas has no statewide building code, so it is set locally. The City of Aledo, unincorporated Parker County and the City of Fort Worth each run their own permitting and inspection rules, and Dallas differs again. Confirm in writing which jurisdiction your property falls under, who files the permit and whether the fee is included in the quoted price.
What should I ask before signing with any DFW roofer?
Ask for insurance certificates emailed directly by the insurer or agent. Ask for a written scope that names the shingle or membrane product, underlayment, flashing, decking allowance and ventilation. Separate the manufacturer material warranty from the workmanship warranty and get both terms in writing. Ask who supervises the crew on site, and ask how the company handles a leak call three years from now.
