Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Ascend roofing did an outstanding job on a leak I had on my roof. They showed up on time and explained all the details of the repair. Moe and Oscar were polite, professional and knowledgeable. They completed the repair quickly and cleaned the area throughly. I will recommend them to family and friends. Reasonable pricing!

Logan really came through for us in helping navigate the challenges with our insurance company. After much back and forth we were finally able to move forward and get a roof replacement. Installation was very professional and I'm confident we'll get many years of good service from it.

We had a severe hail storm hit us the morning after I had surgery and the morning of our baby shower, Logan was the first roofer of the day to knock on our door and the first thing he asked after he introduced himself was if everyone in the house was ok and if we needed anything at all, he didn’t try to get our business, he didn’t try and tell us how his company was the best in Texas, he showed us he cared and I knew from there we would be using Ascend. Throughout the whole process Logan communicated everything effectively and efficiently, even helping us with our insurance company and getting our shingle color approved through the HOA by contacting them directly. The day before the roof was installed our baby was born and he brought us a card congratulating us. The roof install was quick and it looks amazing and the cleanup afterwards was remarkable. All around having to deal with getting a new roof is a nightmare but I can say it was the opposite working with Logan and his team.

Amazing job from start to finish! Logan was diligent and made sure the insurance adjuster noted all damage so we would get maximum reimbursement for the hail damage to our roof, gutters, fence, and garage door. He provided great advice on shingle selection and the team was on time on finished the project in the expected time frame. Couldn’t be happier with our selection of rooking company and would highly recommend them. Thanks Logan!

Frequently asked

Is Ascend Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a statewide roofing license. Ascend Roofing is a plain Member of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT), which reflects paid association membership rather than RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential.
What does RCAT Member status mean for Ascend Roofing?
It means the company belongs to and pays dues to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. It is not the same as RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor designation (CRRL/RRL/CRL), which Ascend Roofing's RCAT listing does not show.
Is Ascend Roofing insured?
The company's own materials do not publish specific insurance coverage amounts. Homeowners should ask Ascend Roofing directly for a current certificate of general liability insurance before signing any contract.
Is Ascend Roofing BBB accredited?
Yes, Ascend Roofing has held BBB accreditation with an A rating since October 28, 2024.
Does Ascend Roofing handle hail damage in North Texas?
Hail is the leading cause of roof damage across North Texas. Homeowners should ask Ascend Roofing directly whether they install Class 4 impact-resistant shingles and how they support insurance claims, since specific hail-related services were not detailed on the company's website.
Does the Frisco area require a roofing permit?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting is handled city by city and county by county. Homeowners near Frisco should confirm current permit requirements with their local building department before a reroof begins.
How long has Ascend Roofing been in business?
Public BBB records show a business start date of March 9, 2024, making this a relatively new, small operation as of 2026.
What roofing materials does Ascend Roofing use?
The company states it uses top-quality materials from established manufacturers but does not name specific brand partnerships on its website, so homeowners should ask directly about material options for their project.
What should I ask Ascend Roofing before signing a contract?
Ask for a current certificate of insurance, confirm RCAT membership, get manufacturer warranty terms in writing for the specific materials proposed, and request references from recent local jobs given the company's newer track record.
Where is Ascend Roofing actually based?
Public BBB records list the company's registered address in Frisco, Texas, differing from an older Plano-area address associated with the company in some directories. Homeowners should confirm the current operating address directly with the company.
