About

Silver Ridge Roofing & Construction is a Houston roofing and exterior contractor at 7676 Hillmont St in Harris County, on (713) 903-8011. A website was found even though the source record had none: the company operates silverridgeroofing.com, which is the site listed on its BBB profile. BBB records the business as starting on 11 August 2023, structured as an LLC, and BBB Accredited with an A+ rating since 18 October 2024. The company states that its roots in construction go back to 2017 before the roofing business formally launched in 2023. The work spans roof inspections, repair, replacement and new installation, storm and hail damage repair, and insurance claims assistance, plus two exterior lines the company treats as core: siding installation, replacement and repair, and gutter work including seamless gutters, leaf guards and gutter repair. Both residential and commercial roofing are offered. Coverage is Greater Houston including Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Pearland, Spring and Conroe, extending to College Station, Beaumont and Austin, with the company also describing itself as a Houston and Dallas Fort Worth business. Houston sits inland of the coastal windstorm counties, so hail, straight line wind and heavy rain driven leaks are the practical local risks rather than coastal certification rules.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0653 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I had an outstanding experience working with Jose and the team at Silver Ridge Roofing & Construction. From start to finish, the entire process was professional, transparent, and stress-free. Jose first provided a thorough, no-cost roof inspection and documented everything with detailed photos and videos. This evidence was extremely helpful in getting my insurance company to approve the claim. He guided me through every step of the process and was always available to answer questions. Once the project was approved, the crew arrived early at sunrise and immediately got to work. I was amazed that they completed the entire roof replacement in a single day and were finished by around 3 PM. The workmanship, organization, and efficiency of the crew were truly impressive. They also did an excellent job cleaning up after the work was completed. What really sets Jose apart is that his support didn’t stop after the roof installation. He also helped me navigate the mortgage company payment process, which can be confusing and time-consuming. Having someone knowledgeable guide me through the paperwork and requirements made a huge difference. If you’re looking for a roofing company that delivers quality work, excellent customer service, and genuine support throughout the insurance and payment process, I highly recommend Jose and Silver Ridge Roofing & Construction. They exceeded my expectations, and I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to family and friends.

I can’t thank Bobby with Silver Ridge roofing enough for installing my roof in one day and walking me through what I thought was going to be an insurance nightmare. The process took a little time but Bobby was professional, patient and very accurate. The process started in October. He told me what to expect from the insurance and told me to be patient. Just as he predicted they denied my initial claim. He took photos and wrote up the necessary reports and did all the talking for me. Having him talk to the adjuster while I was on the phone allowed everything to be transparent and not question next steps. I followed his instructions requested an additional evaluation, he submitted photos to confirm his findings and my claim went from the insurance company only approving to cover $600 to covering my full roof minus the deductible. When this process started I told Bobby my insurance was set to renew in Feb and he told me everything would be taken care of. Even with 2 denials just as promised my roof was install last week in Jan. He not only deliver but delivered early. Thank you Bobby for great customer service and craftsmanship. He also provided me with a warranty to cover the work. Silver Ridge Roofing is definitely top tier. It’s very rare to find professional, honest and dependable contractor these days be Bobby and his team exceeded my expectations.

Frequently asked

Is Silver Ridge Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no Texas roofing company holds one and there is no state number to look up. The meaningful checks are the certificate of insurance, the company's entry in the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas directory, the BBB file and any City of Houston or Harris County registration that applies to your address.
What is the difference between RCAT Member and RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
They are separate and should not be treated as the same thing. Membership just means the company pays dues to the association. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is earned by an individual through testing and continuing education and is shown as CRRL, RRL or CRL. Silver Ridge is carried in the RCAT directory with the Licensed status.
Am I looking at the right Silver Ridge?
Silver Ridge is a common trading name and there are unrelated Silver Ridge roofing companies in other states. The Houston company is the one at 7676 Hillmont St, Houston, TX 77040 on (713) 903-8011, with silverridgeroofing.com as its website. Those three details match across its BBB file and the RCAT directory record.
Is Houston hail bad enough to justify impact resistant shingles?
Harris County is not the worst of Texas hail alley, but it takes damaging hail and strong straight line wind most years. Class 4 impact resistant shingles pass the UL 2218 steel ball test and often qualify for an insurance premium discount in Texas. Ask your carrier what the discount is worth on your policy before you commit to the upgrade cost.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in Houston?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting is set locally. The City of Houston, unincorporated Harris County and neighbouring cities such as Katy, Pearland and Sugar Land each have their own rules. Ask the contractor which jurisdiction your address falls in, whether a permit is required and who is pulling it.
How does a Texas roof insurance claim usually work?
You report the damage, the insurer sends an adjuster, and the adjuster writes a scope and issues an actual cash value payment first. Recoverable depreciation is released after the work is completed and invoiced. Your deductible is yours to pay: it is illegal in Texas for a contractor to pay, waive or rebate it, so treat any such offer as a reason to stop.
Can a roofer negotiate my claim for me?
No, not unless they are separately licensed as a public adjuster. A contractor can inspect, photograph, write a scope and be present when the adjuster visits, which is genuinely useful. Adjusting or negotiating the claim on your behalf is a licensed activity in Texas and a roofing contractor cannot legally do it.
Should I sign anything at the free inspection?
No. Take the written report and the photographs, then step away and think. Do not sign a contract, an authorisation to contact your insurer or an assignment of benefits on the same visit, especially in the door knocking wave that follows a Houston storm. A genuine contractor will still be there next week.
What should I ask for before hiring?
Ask for a certificate of insurance covering general liability and workers compensation, issued directly by the agent. Ask whether the crew are employees or subcontractors. Get the shingle or panel product named exactly along with underlayment, the manufacturer warranty tier and the separate workmanship warranty term, and get the full scope and payment schedule on one document.
Does this directory endorse Silver Ridge Roofing & Construction?
No. This site is editorially independent. We report RCAT standing and public records as we find them, verify insurance separately, and link the primary sources so you can check them yourself. Ratings shown on a profile come from Google only, and nothing in a listing is for sale.
