About

RTS Roofing LLC is a Round Rock based roofing and exterior renovation contractor serving Williamson County and the north Austin metro. The company's own site and the RCAT directory agree on the phone number and on a Round Rock address (2904 East Piper Sonoma Court, 78665), and RCAT records the business as established on 1 April 2001. Nothing on the company's website explains what the letters RTS stand for, so this listing does not assign a meaning to them. The About page names Ed Neura as owner and credits him with 41 years of roofing industry experience. Services run from roof replacement, repair and new installation through commercial and residential work, seamless gutters, siding, soffit and fascia, chimney services, exterior painting and exterior stucco. Asphalt shingle, standing seam metal and TPO systems are named on the site. Hail is the centre of the company's pitch. RTS presents itself as a storm damage specialist, refers to impact resistant and hail resistant shingle options and to solar reflective shingles chosen for Central Texas heat, and offers help navigating insurance claims. It has been a BBB Accredited Business since 21 June 2011 with an A+ rating, and it holds a contractor profile in the Owens Corning contractor directory.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0632 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I highly recommend Ed Neura, RTS Roofing. What impressed me most was his professionalism and attention to detail, adding decorative touches and additional vents as needed that matched the shingles perfectly. Even though his crew did a thorough cleanup, Ed came by with his boys to check for any remaining scraps or nails. Not only did Ed and his crew do a superb job on my roof, he and his son Austin went above and beyond to help me rescue a squirrel trapped in my chimney! The situation was handled with compassion and without hesitation. If you want a roofer who truly cares about his customers, hire Ed Neura RTS Roofing!

RTS did an amazing job for us. We had a extremely difficult time with our insurance company and Ed was there the whole way and gave excellent professional advice. His many years of experience showed, his price was reasonable and workers were curtious and clean. We highly recommend Ed/RTS Roofing. You will not be disappointed.

RTS Roofing was highly professional. Ed, the owner, was hands‑on, clearly explained the issue with our roof leak. He provided a detailed contract, fair pricing, and photos of the repairs. He’s licensed and a member of the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) and the BBB, and it shows in the quality of his work. In 2021, we hired a veteran‑owned roofing company out of Plano whose owner declined to honor the continuing workmanship issue. That experience tarnished my trust with large companies. RTS Roofing restored that trust by demonstrating real professionalism, integrity, and pride in their work. Choosing the right roofer makes all the difference.

RTS Roofing replaced my 20-year-old roof and did repairs on my patio and patio roof. RTS Roofing did an excellent job of integrating the patio roof with the main roof for a fair price. Their attention to detail and knowledge of roofing and carpentry is excellent. The job was done in a timely manner and cleanup of the job site was excellent. I highly recommend RTS Roofing.

What an absolute pleasure working with Ed at RTS Roofing. Honest and transparent approach, 100% customer centric and does the work the right way, not the cheapest and fastest way. Quality workmanship. These guys deliver on what they say they’re going to do and when. I recommend this company for all your roofing needs!

Frequently asked

What does RTS stand for?
The company does not say. Nothing on rtsroofs.com, its RCAT record or its BBB file explains the acronym, so this listing does not guess at one. If it matters to you, ask the company directly.
Does Texas license roofing contractors?
No. Texas has no state roofing licence and no state roofing regulator, so anyone may trade as a roofer. Verify a contractor instead through current general liability and workers compensation certificates sent by the insurer, standing in a voluntary body such as RCAT, a readable BBB file, and any registration your city requires.
What is the difference between RCAT Member and RCAT Licensed?
RCAT, the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, runs two separate things. Membership is a paid trade association subscription. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through testing and experience requirements. The RCAT directory records RTS Roofing with a roofing licence credential rather than membership alone. Neither is a government licence.
Why does hail dominate roofing work in Round Rock and Georgetown?
Williamson County sits inside the Central Texas corridor often called Hail Alley. Spring storms regularly produce stones large enough to bruise asphalt shingle mats, knock granules loose and dent metal panels, vents and gutters. Hail, not ordinary wear, is the most common reason a roof in this area is replaced before the end of its rated life.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth the extra cost here?
Class 4 is the top rating under UL 2218, given to shingles that survive repeated strikes from a two inch steel ball without the mat cracking. In hail exposed Texas counties many carriers offer a premium discount for a Class 4 roof, and the product usually lasts through more storm seasons. RTS does refer to impact resistant shingle options. Ask your insurer what the discount is worth, then have the exact product and rating written into the contract.
Does the company help with insurance claims?
The site says it helps homeowners navigate hail claims and emphasises transparent pricing. Note what a Texas roofer can and cannot do: it can inspect, document damage with photographs, meet your adjuster on the roof and price the scope of work. It cannot act as your public insurance adjuster on the same claim, which is a separately licensed activity in Texas.
What roofing systems does RTS install?
The site names asphalt shingle, standing seam metal and TPO. TPO is the usual choice for the flat and low slope sections common on Central Texas commercial buildings and on some residential additions. Standing seam metal is often chosen locally for hail and heat performance. Confirm the exact product line and warranty before signing.
Do I need a permit to re-roof in Round Rock or Georgetown?
Texas has no statewide residential building code enforcement, so this is set city by city. Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Hutto, Leander and Pflugerville each run their own permit and inspection process for a roof replacement, and unincorporated Williamson County works differently again. Get it in writing who pulls the permit and who schedules the inspection.
How should I verify a roofer's insurance?
Have the certificate of insurance emailed to you by the insurance agent, not forwarded by the contractor. Check the policy dates, the general liability limits and whether workers compensation is included. Texas does not require private employers to carry workers compensation, so if there is none, understand who is liable if a worker is injured on your property.
What should I ask before signing?
Ask for a written scope covering tear off, decking replacement pricing, underlayment, ventilation changes, the exact shingle or panel product and colour, the workmanship warranty term, the payment schedule and the permit responsibility. Texas law lets you cancel a storm repair contract within a set period if your claim is denied, so read that clause and never pay in full before the work is done.
