About

Reliable Roofing & Sheet Metal LLC is a Pasadena based roofing contractor working across the greater Houston area. The company was founded in 2013 and runs its head office at 2016 Robinhood St in Pasadena, with Fidel Rojo-Nunez listed as owner on its Better Business Bureau profile. Alongside the Harris County office the company publishes separate contact numbers for Galveston County (Santa Fe) and Liberty County (Dayton), which gives a sense of how far east and south of Houston it actually works. The work mix is residential and commercial roofing plus sheet metal, which is the second half of the company name and not a bolt on. Published services include roof repair, roof replacement, roof maintenance, metal roofing and sheet metal fabrication, siding, and custom patio covers. The site frames much of the work around storm response, which in this part of Texas means wind driven rain, hail bruising, and blown off shingles after a front moves through. The company has been a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business since October 2017 and carries an A+ BBB rating. Its own website lists a long service area covering roughly 60 to 67 named communities across Harris, Galveston, Brazoria, Chambers, Liberty, and Jefferson counties. Homeowners should still ask for a current certificate of insurance naming them, since accreditation and association membership are not the same thing as proof of coverage.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #01-0516 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We recently had our roof replaced and couldn’t be happier with the results. The crew was professional, hardworking, and completed the job quickly. Communication was great throughout the entire process, and they made everything easy to understand. The new roof looks amazing, and they left the property clean when they finished. If you’re looking for a roofing company that does quality work at a fair price, I definitely recommend giving them a call!

Reliable Roofing and Sheet Metal did an outstanding job replacing my roof after a recent hailstorm. They assisted in identifying the storm damage and provided invaluable assistance by guiding me through the insurance claims process. The crew was polite, punctual, and highly skilled, delivering quality work that left the new roof looking great. Furthermore, they maintained a clean job site and left my yard completely free of nails and debris when the project was finished. Carlos provided excellent communication throughout the entire process, which was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Reliable Roofing and Sheet Metal.

Our home has never looked so good. Thank you Fidel and the Reliable Roofing team for the job you did on our home. It’s like a brand new house. We’ve never had anything like this done for our home, so it was very important for us to trust and feel comfortable with whom we hired. Fidel made us feel we were part of his family and his team, from the painters, and roofers, worked as if they were working on their own home. The attention to detail and the professionalism they displayed, was something to admire. We will keep in touch Fidel, there’s definitely more that we want to do to our home and you are the person we trust to do it.

I chose them based off the reviews I read. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Not only were they Reliable like the name of their company but they were at my house in 30 mins to give me a quote, and in less than a week they roofed my house, detached garage, repaired a section of eve that was rotting away, tore down 2 old patio awnings, and rebuilt me some really nice patio awnings. Fidel is a man of his words and is very good at what he does. He communicated throughout the whole process and made sure we were happy with the work. Definitely would recommend Reliable Roofing to any of my friends, family, or neighbors

Frequently asked

Is Reliable Roofing & Sheet Metal licensed by the State of Texas?
No roofing company is, because Texas does not issue a state roofing licence. What exists instead is the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT) credential programme, city or county registration where a municipality requires it, and the contractor's own liability and workers compensation insurance. Our directory records this company's RCAT standing as Licensed Roofing Contractor, which is the separately earned RCAT credential rather than plain dues paying membership.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
An RCAT Member pays annual dues to the association. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL, or CRL depending on the track) is earned separately through testing and continuing requirements. The two are not interchangeable, and a company can be one without being the other. Ask a contractor which one they hold before treating the RCAT logo on a truck as a qualification.
How long has this company been in business?
The company's own website says it was founded in 2013, and its Better Business Bureau profile lists a business start date of 5 April 2013. That gives a consistent picture across two independent sources.
Does the company handle both residential and commercial roofs?
Yes. Its website advertises residential roofing, commercial roofing, and sheet metal work, along with repair, replacement, and maintenance. Sheet metal fabrication is part of the core offering rather than a subcontracted extra.
How far from Pasadena will they travel?
The website publishes a long service list covering the greater Houston area and reaching out to Galveston, Beaumont, Katy, The Woodlands, and communities in between. The company also publishes separate phone contacts for its Galveston County and Liberty County coverage, which suggests genuine reach rather than a pin dropped on a map.
Should I worry about hail on a Houston area roof?
Less than in North Texas, but it still happens. Houston area storms more often bring wind, wind driven rain, and debris impact. Impact resistant Class 4 shingles are worth pricing on a replacement anyway, because most Texas carriers offer a premium discount for them and the upcharge is often modest on a full tear off.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof around Pasadena or Houston?
Texas has no statewide building code for this, so permitting and inspection rules are set city by city and county by county. Pasadena, Houston, and the smaller municipalities nearby each set their own requirements. Ask the contractor to confirm in writing whether a permit is being pulled and who is pulling it.
How do I verify a roofer's insurance rather than take their word for it?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly from the insurance agent, not a PDF forwarded by the salesperson, and ask that your name be added as a certificate holder. Check that both general liability and workers compensation appear and that the policy dates cover your install window. Texas does not require workers compensation for private employers, so its absence is a real risk you should price in.
What should be in the contract before I sign?
The shingle or panel brand and product line, the underlayment, the number of layers being removed, flashing and vent replacement, the ridge and starter products, the deck repair rate per sheet, the warranty split between manufacturer and workmanship, the payment schedule, and the cleanup and dumpster plan. Anything a salesperson promises verbally should be written on the contract before you sign.
Is a BBB accreditation the same as a licence?
No. BBB accreditation is a paid membership with a conduct standard and a complaint handling process attached. It tells you something about how a company responds to disputes. It does not verify trade competence, insurance, or any government permission to work.
