About

Redemption Roofing and General Contracting is a residential and commercial roofing contractor headquartered at 33130 Magnolia Cir, Suite 14, Magnolia, Texas, in Montgomery County. The BBB lists the business as started on 20 February 2013 and accredited since 21 March 2013 with an A+ rating, and names Adam M. Sabel as owner. The Magnolia office is the company's headquarters and runs its Greater Houston work. The company offers a full range of residential and commercial roofing, including new roof installation, roof repair, roof replacement, free roof inspections, storm damage restoration for hail, wind and water, and insurance claim assistance. Its crews work with asphalt shingles, metal, slate and clay tile, and it is also a Gutter Helmet dealer in the Houston area. On its own website the company describes itself as a GAF Master Elite certified roofer and a CertainTeed SELECT ShingleMaster. From Magnolia the company serves Conroe, Montgomery, Spring, The Woodlands, Tomball, Kingwood and the wider Greater Houston area. It is a member of the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce and is listed in RCAT's directory. Montgomery County is inland, so the roofing story here is hail, straight line wind and heavy rain rather than coastal windstorm certification.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0324 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I had an excellent experience with Redemption Roofing & General Contracting. I contacted them to repair panels and repaint my chimney, and they exceeded expectations at every step. Their professionalism was evident from the start—the process was efficient, well-organized, and completed in a timely manner. Not only were they significantly more affordable than the two other quotes I received, but the quality of work was top-notch. The chimney looks fantastic! The crew was respectful, courteous, and made sure to clean up thoroughly once the job was done. I’m extremely satisfied with the results and would confidently recommend Redemption Roofing to anyone in need of reliable, high-quality service.

Seth and Baily were amazing to work with. Once things got started, they were in regular contact with me, providing updates and appointments. The work they did to my roof and home was excellent. I highly recommend them.

Had several estimates and Redemption not only gave the best price but had additional features/services included in the estimate that the others offered at extra cost. Everyone involved were great to deal with and friendly as well as knowledgeable and excellent workers. Had old roof off and new on in half a day including replacing some roof decking. Wish I could give them a 10 instead of 5 ! Special thanks to Brody for his help .

We are very pleased by the quality and timeliness of Redemption's replacement of our hail damaged roof, once the public adjusting process convinced our HO insurance company to pay the hail damage claim that it had denied thrice. We discovered that Redemption differs form the typical roofing contractor. They have the necessary adjusting resources and patience to work through repeated insurance claim denials in order to achieve satisfaction for their customers' legitimate hail damage. Your patience also matters. Stay the course with Redemption Roofing. You'll be glad you did. jsb

Frequently asked

Is Redemption Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
Texas issues no state roofing licence, so no Texas roofer holds one. What Redemption Roofing does hold is RCAT's separately earned Licensed Roofing Contractor credential, which is an industry credential from the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas rather than a government licence. Always verify insurance separately.
What is the difference between RCAT Member and RCAT Licensed?
Plain RCAT membership means a company pays association dues. The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through examination and continuing education. They are not equivalent. Redemption Roofing is recorded at the Licensed level.
Does Redemption Roofing have more than one office?
Yes. The company runs a Magnolia headquarters in Montgomery County and a second office in Spring Branch, Comal County, roughly 200 miles away, serving San Antonio and the Hill Country. Each office has its own street address, its own local phone number and its own BBB profile.
Which areas does the Magnolia office cover?
The Magnolia headquarters covers the Greater Houston side of the business, including Magnolia, Conroe, Montgomery, Spring, The Woodlands, Tomball and Kingwood. The Spring Branch office covers San Antonio, New Braunfels, Bulverde and Boerne, so call the office nearest you.
Do I need WPI-8 windstorm certification in Montgomery County?
No. WPI-8 certificates and TWIA windstorm inspections apply only to the 14 first tier Gulf Coast counties. Montgomery County is not one of them, so a WPI-8 is not part of a normal reroof here. Coastal Texas homeowners have that requirement, inland Montgomery County homeowners do not.
Are impact resistant Class 4 shingles worth it near Magnolia?
They can be. Montgomery County sees hail as well as strong straight line wind. Class 4 shingles carry a UL 2218 impact rating and many Texas insurers apply a premium discount for a verified Class 4 roof. Ask the contractor for the rating documentation and ask your insurer what credit it gives before you decide.
How do permits work for a reroof in the Magnolia area?
Texas has no statewide building code, so requirements are set locally. Work inside city limits (Magnolia, Conroe, Tomball) usually needs a city permit, while unincorporated Montgomery County has different rules again. Ask your contractor to confirm which jurisdiction your address falls under and who is pulling the permit.
How should I verify a roofer's insurance in Texas?
Request a certificate of insurance issued straight from the insurance agent, not a PDF forwarded by the contractor. Check general liability limits and whether workers compensation is in force. Texas does not require private employers to carry workers compensation, so confirm what is actually covered and that policy dates span your project.
Can my roofer handle my hail insurance claim for me?
A roofer can document damage, take photographs and provide a detailed estimate, and can meet the adjuster on site. Negotiating or adjusting the claim itself is public adjuster work, and Texas law bars a roofing contractor from acting as a public adjuster on a property it is contracted to repair. Be wary of anyone offering to waive or absorb your deductible.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract?
Ask for the written scope (tear off versus overlay, decking replacement rate and price, underlayment type, ventilation, flashing and drip edge), the exact shingle or panel product, the length of the workmanship warranty and who backs it, the manufacturer warranty tier, the payment schedule, and confirmation the permit is pulled in the contractor's name.
