Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We were in need of a new roof and after a discussion with our insurance company, State Farm, we decided to try the new program that they offer. It is State Farm's preferred vendor program. State Farm has vetted various companies and offer you the opportunity to meet with them as well as other companies that you choose. You are able to choose any company that you prefer. We met with Tom at Presidio Roofing (the State Farm preferred vendor) and 2 others. We couldn't have made a wrong decision by going with any of these companies. However, we decided to go with Presidio Roofing due to the ease of communication. Tom provided us with very detailed information about Presidio and also provided us photos and drone footage of the repairs necessary. I talked to the State Farm adjuster one time and Tom handled everything from there. They completed the replacement in 1 day with minor clean up the following morning. His crew is very hardworking and did an excellent job. Tom provided photos along the way. I would not hesitate recommending Presidio Roofing.

The best roofers in all of DFW! I've had the pleasure of working with Tom at Presidio a few times, and I can honestly say that Presidio is the best I have ever worked with! All my friends and family have horror stories about roofers that are out just to make a quick buck, but Tom is honest, on-time, and truly does bend over backwards for his customers! The quality of his work is excellent, and it's clearly obvious every time a storm comes through town... All of my neighbors that went with other roofers have had their "newly replaced" roofs damaged with shingles flying off after a couple of 30-40mph storms, while Presidio's work continues to hold strong after even the toughest of storms. We recently had a wind-storm in the Denton area a few weeks back (60+mph winds for hours!) and I had some minor damaged that needed to be fixed... Tom came by and did an excellent job at fixing the damage in a remarkably fast pace! But again, the quality of his work is what truly sets him aside from everyone else. I know his work will last and hold strong through this Summer's upcoming storms (this is North Texas, where they are inevitable). Door-to-door roofers may come and go and you never hear from them again, but I reached out to Tom at Presidio and he responded right away with a timeline that fit my work schedule. Truly the best!!!

I was looking for help with a problem i had before some expected heavy rain fall for a few days. This is my first call to Presidio but not my last. Tom was very professional in setting my expectations and working with me through text before his arrival, although the issue turned out to be larger than what could be accommodated for that day, Tom assisted with some temporary solution, and expertise on next steps, this along with helping me under pressure and answering my questions made this experience great! This is how any communication and support should be, thank you! Some photos of my home.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I don't leave reviews very often, but I really felt like these guys deserved one. Presidio Roofing came out because I had a small leak, and it ended up just being a missing ridge cap. Instead of telling me I needed a bunch of work, he climbed up there, fixed it on the spot, and made sure it was sealed before he left. My roof is only about 3 years old, and he took what had to be 80+ pictures while he was up there. He walked me through all of them, pointed out the good and the bad, and honestly most of the roof looked great. There were only a couple of small things worth keeping an eye on. It was refreshing to have someone actually explain everything instead of trying to scare me into buying a new roof. Before he left, he even noticed a section of my gutter hanging down and secured that too without me even asking. I walked away thinking, "Man... there are still good people out there." Dan was incredibly knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and genuinely seemed like he just wanted to help. I almost wish my roof had needed more work just so I could've hired them. Whenever the time does come for a new roof, I won't even bother calling anyone else. Presidio Roofing has earned my business.

These guys were absolutely amazing to work with. Crew did a great job as well even took extra care to make sure all debris was picked up so my dogs didn’t eat anything they shouldn’t. Very polite when I had stupid questions with a first time roof repair and insurance claim. When the insurance needed more information Nick was on it no questions asked. If you need your roof repaired these are the guys ignore the door knockers! Knowledgeable, friendly, and cost efficient.

Frequently asked

Does Texas require a state roofing licence, and does the Flower Mound office hold one?
Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so no roofer in Flower Mound holds one. What you can verify is current general liability and workers compensation insurance, association standing such as RCAT, manufacturer certifications, and any registration your town requires. This company is listed here as an RCAT Member.
What does RCAT Member mean, and is it the same as a Licensed Roofing Contractor?
They are not the same. RCAT Member means the company pays dues to the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately through testing and experience requirements. This company appears here as a Member, and the company's own website describes Presidio as RCAT licensed, so ask which individual holds which credential.
Is the Flower Mound location a separate business from Presidio in Denton?
It is the same company. Presidio Roofing has a San Antonio headquarters and city-branded offices in Denton, Flower Mound and Austin. Flower Mound and Denton hold separate BBB profiles, but each lists the other as a related business, and the Flower Mound BBB profile carries the Denton office's phone number. No member of Presidio's published team is based in Flower Mound.
What kind of address is 2001 Timber Creek Rd, Ste 116?
It is a single-room executive suite in a small suite building of roughly 5,260 square feet, marketed for lease with common wifi and a shared conference room and break area. That is a leased office rather than a standalone branch facility. If it matters to you where crews and materials are dispatched from, ask directly, since the North Texas operation is run out of Presidio's Denton office.
How significant is hail in Flower Mound?
Very. Flower Mound sits in the North Texas hail corridor, which generates more hail related roof claims than any other part of the state. Most full replacements in southern Denton County follow a storm rather than ordinary age related wear.
Should I install Class 4 impact-resistant shingles?
It is worth pricing in this market. Class 4 shingles are tested to withstand hail impact better than standard shingles, and many Texas insurers give a premium discount for them. Ask your carrier to confirm the discount in writing, then weigh it against the extra material cost over the life of the roof.
Do I need a permit for a roof replacement in Flower Mound?
Texas has no statewide building code, so permitting and inspection are handled locally. Flower Mound, Lewisville, Highland Village, Grapevine and the other towns in this area each set their own requirements. Confirm with the relevant building department and make sure the contract states who pulls the permit.
What services does the Flower Mound office list?
Its Flower Mound page lists roof repairs, roof replacement, new roof installation, metal roofing, flat roofing, commercial roofing, tile roofing, roof inspections including drone inspections, insurance claim roof replacements, gutter replacements and roof leak repair.
Which areas does it say it covers?
Its Flower Mound page names Lantana, Bartonville, Double Oak, Copper Canyon, Lewisville, Highland Village, Trophy Club, Coppell, Southlake, Westlake and Carrollton, plus parts of Tarrant County including Grapevine, Keller, Colleyville, Bedford, Euless and North Richland Hills, and parts of Dallas County including Addison, Farmers Branch and northwest Dallas.
What should I check before hiring any roofer here?
Ask for certificates of insurance sent directly by the insurer, a written scope naming the exact shingle line and underlayment, the workmanship warranty term and who stands behind it, whether crews are employees or subcontractors, who pulls the permit, and the payment schedule. Be wary of a large deposit before materials arrive, and remember that a contractor offering to cover your insurance deductible is not acting lawfully in Texas.
