Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0576 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

Lancaster did an amazing job on my roofing project. I had to deal with this as a single mom and their team took all of the worry out of the process for me. From dealing with the insurance company to scheduling the work to the work itself. Lancaster has amazing team!! The workmanship is impeccable. In live in Corinth and will recommend them to everyone I know.

My elderly father in law needed some screws replaced on his metal roof of his house and he did not need to be on a roof. Lancaster Roofing assessed the repairs and suggested replacing all the screws while they were there. While on the roof, they noticed the vents and stacks needed to be reworked to prevent leaks. They sent pictures and were given the okay for the rework. Lancaster Roofing went above and beyond to ensure an elderly persons house was repaired and secured. They were very professional, courteous and finished in a timely manner. I highly recommend Lancaster Roofing for your roofing needs!

I don’t have a home, but when LRC approached me Jimmy was super nice and cared about relationship. I sent him over to my mother-in-law’s house in the Wellington of Flower Mound. She had some hail damage but overall in decent shape. Jimmy said he caulked some potential areas that could leak and to keep in touch if anything major happens in the future. I would recommend this roofing company to anyone who wants to deal with good/honest people. Thanks Jimmy!

We highly recommend Lancaster Roofing. As Frisco residents, we had the opportunity to interview and research many companies to repair our hail damaged roof. Indeed, we were impressed with Lancaster’s presentation as well as their many five star reviews. This dedicated company explained all the details of the replacement process and worked diligently with our insurance company. Choose Lancaster Roofing! You will be completely satisfied!

I was in a bind and needed some last second repairs before we could sell our home. Lancaster Roofing responded and went out of their way to help. Because of their responsive service, we were able to meet our deadline, sell our old home, and move with no issues. I highly recommend them. They're a solid company with integrity, and they respond when you need them to.

Frequently asked

Is Lancaster Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
There is no state roofing licence in Texas, so no roofer holds one. What this company does hold, according to its own site, is the Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL) from the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas, which is a voluntary industry credential rather than a government licence.
What is the difference between RCAT Member and RCAT Licensed?
RCAT Member simply means the company pays association dues. The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned separately and requires examination and further criteria. Lancaster Roofing is recorded here with the Licensed credential.
Does it work on homes or only commercial buildings?
Both. The site keeps separate commercial and residential sections. Commercial work is the stronger emphasis, with flat and low slope systems, while residential covers shingles, standing seam metal, stone coated steel and tile.
Which flat roof system is right for a North Texas building?
It depends on the deck, the insulation, roof traffic and how long you plan to hold the building. TPO and PVC single ply are the common choices for reflectivity and cost, modified bitumen suits high traffic and complex details, and spray foam or a coating can extend a sound existing roof rather than tearing it off. Ask for the reasoning behind whichever system is proposed.
Should I choose impact resistant shingles in Denton County?
Denton County sits squarely in the North Texas hail belt, so Class 4 impact rated shingles are the usual upgrade. Many Texas carriers give a premium discount for a Class 4 roof. Confirm the discount with your insurer before deciding, since it varies widely.
Does Flower Mound require a roof permit?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting is set town by town. The Town of Flower Mound does require permits for roof replacement. Ask your contractor to confirm the permit was pulled and the final inspection passed before releasing final payment.
How quickly does the company respond?
The site states it aims to respond to service requests within about twelve hours and offers free comprehensive roof evaluations. Treat that as the company's own service claim and confirm the timeline when you call.
Is it BBB accredited?
No. Its BBB file was opened in January 2021 and BBB states it does not have enough information to issue a rating. That is not a black mark, just a thin file, so lean harder on direct references and proof of insurance.
Which phone number should I use?
The company's own website and contact page give (214) 247-6388. Other listings carry different numbers, including (214) 499-7881 on its BBB profile and (817) 239-8589 on a Yelp listing. The site number is the one to prefer.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Ask for a certificate of insurance sent directly from the insurer showing both general liability and workers compensation. Ask whether crews are in house or subcontracted. Get the exact system, membrane thickness or shingle line, warranty type and warranty term written into the contract. Confirm the permit responsibility. And never accept an offer to waive or absorb your insurance deductible, which is against Texas law.
