About
Needham Roofing Inc. is a Dallas based commercial, industrial, and multi-family roofing contractor with its office at 5485 Belt Line Road, Suite 380, Dallas, Texas 75254. The address geocodes to Dallas city, Dallas County. The company was founded in 1996 by Steve Needham, who is listed as owner and president on both the company site and the BBB profile, and it says the Needham name has been in the roofing industry for five decades across multiple generations. This is not a residential storm chasing operation. The published focus is apartment communities, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities, covering roof replacement, repairs, preventative maintenance programs, insurance replacement work, and storm damage assessment. The company states it has installed more than 100 million square feet of roofing since 2000 and that its operations span roughly 35 states, with Dallas as headquarters. Needham Roofing is a BBB Accredited Business with an A plus rating and has been BBB accredited since 1989. Public information about this company is comparatively thin for a firm of its size because its marketing is aimed at property managers and owners rather than homeowners, so there is no consumer facing service area page or product list to draw on.

Insurance & credential verification
Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.
Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0645 or the company name.
Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

We had storm damage and honestly didn’t know much about how the insurance side of roofing worked. These guys helped us through the whole process and made it way less stressful than I expected. They came out quickly, inspected everything, met with the insurance adjuster, and helped make sure the damage was properly documented. What I appreciated most was they never made me feel pressured or confused. They kept me updated, answered my calls, and actually took the time to explain things. The crew worked hard, cleaned up really well after the job, and the roof came out great. Overall just a really good experience with a company that seems to actually care about their customers. I’d definitely recommend them if you need roofing work or help dealing with an insurance claim.
Very messy, left lots of nails all over the place at my apartment complex. Caused a nail to go into my tire day, just shoveled shingles off the roof with no regards to vehicles or the fact there were children present.
Used them 8 years ago for six residential buildings. Within 5 years each building had at least one leak. Now most buildings have at least two leaks, and shingles are routinely flying off in rainstorms. I have had to caulk and seal down many places on the roofs to try to stem the leaking roofs. Roofs also have "waves" in them where there are visual dips in the roofs. Must have used inferior materials. Was okay for about 5 years, but I was hoping to get at least 15 to 20 years of good service from these roofs. For the price, should have gotten longer lasting work that should have stayed sealed down. Update 9/16/20: two more leaks! Egads, such poor longevity and workmanship. Update 3/18/21: Multiple ridge line shingles blew away, and a giant section of about 10x10 blown up or away. Saw many shingles where the plastic strips were never removed to allow the shingles to seal down. No wonder they lifted and blew away! Gutters they put back were level or reverse pitched!! Boy, was I ripped off.
This company is not built on principle and definitely not integrity.. This company did work in my community and caused damage to my car. I’m sure without video evidence they would of denied it, but it’s clear as day ! Foreman came out (I was at work looking on camera) before he assessed damage his concern was where the camera was! Every time I call it’s “ I will have someone call you back” , seen the foreman his reply “my boss should reach out soon” yet to hear anything or have my wrong corrected ! But judging by the reviews I just read it all seems to make since . I just want the scratches off my car that your employees caused
Been using Needham for over 5 years on various projects both big and small in Seattle, SoCal and TX. Very professional, competitively priced, and detail oriented. Their supervisors are always available to consult on any roof issues.
