About

Major League Roofing is a Frisco based roofing contractor working the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex from an office at 2770 Main Street, Suite 181, in the Denton County side of Frisco. The Better Business Bureau lists the business as starting in September 2013, and RCAT records give an August 2013 establishment date, so the company has been trading for roughly a decade. Jason Hamilton is listed as president and Steve Nathan as chief financial officer on the BBB profile. The company's website covers a broad residential and commercial range: roof installation, residential roof replacement, new construction and fortified roof replacement, commercial and multi family roofing, roof repair, roof ventilation, gutter service, hail and storm damage work, emergency roofing and tarping, and insurance claims restoration, with free inspections and consultations. The BBB profile adds metal, flat, tile and cedar shake roofing to the material mix. Listed service areas run across North Texas, from Frisco, Plano, McKinney and Little Elm out to Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Sherman and Denison. CertainTeed's own contractor profile confirms the company as a CertainTeed ShingleMaster, credentialed since 2013, which is a verified manufacturer credential rather than a company claim. The BBB shows the business as accredited since November 2014 with an A+ rating and hours listed as open 24 hours. Texas does not issue a state roofing licence, so the trust basis is that RCAT status, the CertainTeed credential, BBB accreditation, and current insurance the homeowner should confirm with the insurer directly.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Registration is required here to pull a roofing permit; we have not confirmed this company's own status, so check it before you sign.

Confirm this licence yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search — search #03-0305 or the company name.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I had an excellent experience with Major League Roofing from start to finish. After the major hailstorm last year, I first met Rachael and Brody, and they guided me through the entire process with professionalism and care. Their communication, honesty, transparency, and attention to detail were outstanding every step of the way. From the roof installation to the final documentation, everything was handled efficiently and professionally. They made what could have been a stressful experience incredibly smooth and hassle-free. I highly recommend Major League Roofing and truly appreciate the exceptional service they provided.

The team at Major League Roofing provided true 5-star service during our roof replacement and gutter installation. From the initial consultation and inspection to the final cleanup, everything was handled professionally and on schedule. The MLR team also walked me through the insurance claim process, which was extremely helpful. It’s refreshing to work with a family-owned business that has been in the industry for a long time and clearly takes pride in their work.

They were professional, honest, and kept us informed throughout the process. The work was done neatly, and they left everything spotless when they finished. It’s such a relief to have the leak completely fixed — highly recommend Major League Roofing for any roof repairs!

Frequently asked

Is Major League Roofing licensed by the State of Texas?
No, because Texas does not issue a state roofing licence. Our record lists the company as holding RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor status, an industry credential earned through the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas. It is not a government licence. Confirm current general liability and workers compensation cover with the insurer before signing.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
RCAT Member simply means the company pays association dues. The Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is a separate qualification earned by a named individual through testing and continuing education. The two are not equivalent, so ask a contractor which one it actually holds.
Does the company hold a verified manufacturer certification?
Yes. CertainTeed's own contractor profile lists Major League Roofing as a CertainTeed ShingleMaster with a credential date of 2013. That credential matters because it is one of the qualifications CertainTeed requires before a contractor can offer its extended system warranties.
How long has the company been in business?
The BBB profile lists a business start date of 1 September 2013 and RCAT records list an establishment date of 1 August 2013, so roughly a decade of trading.
Which areas does it serve?
Its website lists Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Little Elm, Carrollton, Lewisville, Richardson, Garland, Irving, Dallas, Arlington, Fort Worth, Sherman and Denison. Its office is at 2770 Main Street, Suite 181, in Frisco.
Is it BBB accredited?
Yes. The BBB shows Major League Roofing as accredited since 10 November 2014 with an A+ rating.
Why do North Texas homeowners hear so much about hail?
Frisco sits in the corridor often called Hail Alley, where spring storms drive a very high volume of roof insurance claims. Hail rarely destroys a roof outright. It bruises the mat under the granules, which shortens the roof's life and is why a documented inspection after a storm matters more than kerb appeal.
Are Class 4 impact resistant shingles worth paying for here?
Often yes in North Texas. Class 4 is the top rating in the UL 2218 steel ball impact test, and many Texas carriers offer a premium discount for a qualifying roof. Ask for a Class 4 line item in the quote and confirm the discount amount with your insurer before you choose.
Who handles permits and inspections in Frisco?
Texas has no statewide residential building code administration, so this is set city by city. A Frisco roof replacement is permitted and inspected by the City of Frisco, and requirements differ in neighbouring Plano, McKinney and Little Elm. Ask the contractor to confirm in writing that it pulls the permit.
What should a homeowner ask before signing a storm damage contract?
Get the scope in writing including decking replacement, underlayment, flashing, ventilation and disposal. Ask whether the price is tied to the insurance settlement and what happens if the carrier pays less. Have the certificate of insurance sent to you by the insurance agency, not the contractor. Finally, confirm whether the warranty is manufacturer backed or backed only by the contractor.
