About

Heaven Sent Roofing is a family-owned roofing, siding and stucco company based on Hardy Oak Boulevard in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio. The business started in December 2015, according to its Better Business Bureau profile, and has grown from a small roofing team into a broader exterior renovation operation. It has been BBB accredited since February 2018 and holds an A+ BBB rating. The company handles roof repair and replacement alongside hail, wind and storm damage work, with 24-hour emergency tarping available. It also installs and repairs siding and stucco, which is less common among San Antonio roofers, and it assists homeowners with storm claim documentation while stating plainly that it is not an insurance adjuster. Its service area covers San Antonio neighborhoods such as Stone Oak, Encino Park and Timberwood Park plus outlying towns from Boerne and Bulverde to La Vernia, Floresville and Seguin. Heaven Sent Roofing appears in the Owens Corning contractor directory under Heaven Sent Roofing LLC. Its BBB profile notes a 5 year labor warranty on complete reroofs.

Insurance & credential verification

Texas does not issue a state roofing license, so we verify companies the way homeowners actually can: confirming insurance coverage, checking RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas) status, and checking city or county registration where the local jurisdiction requires one. Every credential below links to the actual issuing organization's own public lookup — don't just take our checkmark for it. Always ask for a current certificate of insurance before signing any contract.

Confirm this listing yourself at web.rcat.net/rcat/search.

Confirm this yourself: ask the company for their certificate of insurance (COI). Note that RCAT's Licensed Roofing Contractor credential (CRRL, RRL or CRL) is earned and held by a named individual at a company, not by the business itself, which is why we name that person above where we know it; Texas issues no company roofing license at all. RCAT and NTRCA status can be checked in their own public directories (RCAT, NTRCA) — use the "Licensed"/"Accredited" filter to see more than plain membership. GAF's contractor verification tool and Owens Corning's Texas locator confirm those tiers directly; CertainTeed doesn't offer a comparable self-serve lookup, so ask to see that certificate in person. BBB accreditation and rating are on bbb.org. Houston's own published registered-roofer list is years out of date, so it isn't cited here at all — confirm registration by contacting the city directly. Corpus Christi's STAR program has its own online contractor registry — for any other city or county registration claim, confirm directly with that jurisdiction's permit office.

I had a wonderful experience working with Joe. He is incredibly kind, professional, and clearly takes great pride in his work. He was very honest about what needed to be fixed and handled everything with such care. Finding someone you can trust for a new home project is so important, and I am so happy I found him. I truly look forward to working with him again on many more projects!

As their company name says, they were “Heaven Sent” to make the roof repairs my home needed. My experience may be different. However, based on their reviews it sounds like most reviewers share a similar, positive experience. My plan was to contact several roofing companies to multiple estimates. I called some companies which had an AI voice assistant take a message. I understand AI saves money for a company, but it’s impersonal and awkward. Most places were not able to come out to make an estimate until later in the week or next week. Or they only performed complete roof replacements. I started communicating with someone at Heaven Sent via text. I responded with my repair request and my address. I was told they could have someone stop by for an estimate in an hour. I was surprised when Jose showed up in less than an hour! Jose was very friend knowledgeable. He finished the inspection and said the estimate would be sent to my email. He explained the issue and how only repairs would need to be made, not a full roof section replacement. I received the estimate and the price was very reasonable, so I paid the deposit. The following morning, I was told the work would start the next day between 9:30-10:30am. Jose showed up at 8:30am. During all conversations, almost every text response was made in what seemed one minute or less. Jose started the repairs and took before and after pictures. He finished within a few hours. I received the email with the pictures and final payment. I couldn’t be a more satisfied customer based on their response times, customer service, price, and workmanship. If a company has those big fancy trucks, more than likely you’re going to pay a big, fancy price. Heaven Sent is a smaller company with faster response times, personalized service, and fair pricing. I highly recommend Heaven Sent over any larger, AI-powered company with fancy trucks any day!

I needed my siding replaced and after receiving numerous quotes I Chose Heaven sent. Jose and his team were very professional and attentive to their area of work during installation. They were easy to communicate with and addressed all of my concerns or questions. The work was excellent and worth the cost. I will make Heaven sent my first choice for roofing, siding and all services that they offer

Jose with Heavenly Sent did a beautiful job in installing two custom pocket doors for my home which function great with a soft close and flawless workmanship ( we can’t even tell the wall was altered at all). Very happy 😁 Thank you so much!

This is the 3rd job that Heaven Sent has done for me. 1st my roofing issues, 2nd my attic flooring, & now my fence. Griselda and Jose were the 2 main people I had contact with. Always in communication, always so incredibly kind, always explained what had to be done, always cognizant about the weather, did not leave a shred of trash after work, always on time, great price, & did the work on a weekend. Thank u for your great work & diligence! I am so lucky to have found them.

Frequently asked

Does Texas require a state license for roofers like Heaven Sent Roofing?
No. Texas has no state roofing license, so no roofer in San Antonio is state-licensed. Instead, look for proof of liability insurance, RCAT involvement, an established local address and a track record such as a BBB profile. Heaven Sent Roofing is listed here as an RCAT member with a BBB record going back to 2015.
What is the difference between an RCAT Member and an RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor?
They are not the same thing. An RCAT Member is a company that joins the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas and agrees to its code of ethics. The RCAT Licensed Roofing Contractor credential is a separate, voluntary program that requires passing an exam and meeting insurance requirements. Heaven Sent Roofing is listed as a Member.
How do I verify a roofing company's insurance before signing?
Ask for a certificate of insurance for general liability coverage, and request that the certificate be sent to you directly from the insurance agent rather than handed over by the salesperson. Check that the policy dates are current and the coverage amount fits the size of your project.
Does San Antonio get enough hail to justify an insurance claim?
Yes, Bexar County sees damaging hail regularly, including major storms in recent years. If you suspect hail damage, get a roof inspection, photograph the damage, and contact your insurer to open a claim. Your insurer sends its own adjuster; a roofer can document damage and meet the adjuster, but in Texas a contractor cannot negotiate your claim for you.
Are Class 4 impact-resistant shingles worth it in San Antonio?
Often, yes. Class 4 shingles carry the highest impact rating and many Texas insurers offer premium discounts for them. Ask your insurance agent what discount applies before you choose materials, and get the shingle brand and line written into the contract.
Do I need a permit to replace a roof in the San Antonio area?
Texas has no statewide building code enforcement, so permitting is handled city by city. Requirements in San Antonio differ from those in surrounding towns like Boerne or Seguin. Ask the contractor whether a permit is required at your address and who is responsible for pulling it before work starts.
What emergency help does Heaven Sent Roofing offer after a storm?
The company advertises 24-hour emergency roof tarping, which protects the interior of the home from further water damage until permanent repairs are scheduled. Temporary emergency measures like tarping are also generally covered by homeowners insurance, so keep the receipt.
What warranties should I expect on a San Antonio reroof?
There are two separate warranties: the manufacturer's warranty on the shingles themselves and the contractor's workmanship warranty on the installation. Heaven Sent Roofing's BBB profile notes a 5 year labor warranty on complete reroofs. Get all warranty terms in writing before signing.
How do I avoid storm-chaser scams after a San Antonio hailstorm?
Be cautious with door-to-door canvassers who appear right after a storm, demand large deposits, or pressure you to sign over your insurance claim. Prefer companies with a verifiable local address and history. You can check any roofer's BBB profile and ask for local references from your own neighborhood.
What should I ask before signing a roofing contract in Texas?
Ask for an itemized scope of work with the exact shingle brand and line, whether the old roof is fully torn off, the payment schedule, who pulls any permit, the length of the workmanship warranty, and proof of insurance. Avoid paying large sums before materials are delivered, and ask for a lien waiver at completion.
